UPDATE: Model Y Juniper fully uncovered just spotted go check it out: ua-cam.com/video/fM8KaiN6YiY/v-deo.html My top features include 120v outlets, powered trunk, larger battery, and front bumper camera, honestly super interested what your top features are
@barygol I’d be happy if they didn’t give anything else but gave us V2L, so many instances I wanted to plug something in but my inverter couldn’t handle it
All signs still point to a wide rollout to all countries at the same time including the US, but if there were a delay it wouldn't be due to factory retooling or production it would be because parts inventory of the current Model Y is still too high needs. Any other thoughts?
Smoother handling, hopefully. I test drove the new Model 3 and the old Model Y on back to back days and the Y was really beefy in comparison. It was like steering a bull in comparison.
Another fantastic video 👍. This car is going to destroy the competition. The current Y is absolutely brilliant. We just rented one for 3 weeks. The perfect family car and so much to love for a car and technology enthusiast. Holding off to purchase the Juniper. Can’t wait.
I wonder if they’re going to have 6 seats similar to the Model X… Because I have seen articles online saying that other major Electric SUV’s in China are using 6 seats and that Tesla has to compete with that.
Tesla typically has different wheel base versions of the same car like the extended length model 3, so there’s a very high chance of a 6 seater Model Y
Thanks John, you channel is my favorite youtube channel for Tesla info. I subscribe to several others but like yours the most. I don't want you to burnout trying to keep up on the latest Tesla stuff while having a real IT job. So if you are a day 2 behind on putting a video out, that is fine with me. Take care
@ if you do a UA-cam search for 2025 Tesla model Y opal you’ll come up with a bunch of UA-cam videos. Not sure what the difference is between the Juniper and the opal.
I've decided I'm going to trade in my Model 3 RWD (23) for a Model Y Juniper (depending on the range). I want to see reviews from others so I can carefully make my decision. I'm hoping the price will be somewhat close to the current one. If not, I'll wait for the end of quarter sale hahaha
Nice I think that’s a good upgrade you’ll definitely see and feel the difference coming from the “older” 3. If you’re looking for the best price usually end of quarter sales are the best 💯
@heyJohnEe I bought my Model 3 just by lurking and watching your videos before, haha. I'll be watching for those Juniper updates, John.. don’t fail me! 😂😂😂😂
This time around with it sharing components from the Model 3 im thinking it'll be launched together with the other trims. Also recent prototype sightings also showed the front facia being the perf version with the side ducts
Tesla China has been ramping up Juniper production since like October in their isolated area so I can see it coming out very soon (in a few weeks or at end of Jan). What do you think about the US? In terms of release timeline, ramping up production, etc.
China definitely going to be first no doubt especially with competition high, but US really depends on how inventory is and how much they can manage to clear out
@@heyJohnEe Across the US, the Tesla Stores don't have any Model Y inventory or have close to none. Sales Advisors are telling customers they won't be getting more cars or even showroom cars until late Jan or sometime in Feb. So not sure what Tesla's plans are. With all the Juniper news, not sure how many cars they'll sell in Q1 without huge the promos/incentives they had.
@@heyJohnEe Based on drone shots, the US factories have resumed production again of their vehicles including current Model Y. Looks like Tesla has also added back "Coming Soon" and "In Transit" listings in inventory for more Model Y vehicles - my location (NJ) didn't have any AWD vehicles in inventory but today, there are now 4 available in there (even 2 with $1500 inventory discounts). This does lead me to believe Juniper might not come out until March/April for the US and that in the US, Tesla will prob do another round of promos/incentives (like 0% financing) for current Model Y until end of March (Q1).
Hey John, thanks for the videos. The volume in ur videos is too quiet actually, makes the advertisements very loud when I turn it up. Can you put it back to normal volume? Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know i'll readjust to make sure its back to normal. Sorry i've had to swap out mics and settings over the past few weeks while traveling
the model 3 had a front bumper camera when the test mules were driving around before release too. I wouldnt read too far into it. I doubt the Y Juniper will have a front bumper camera.
@@brandonl8039although it's true that some photos of a Highland mule had the front hole for the front bumper camera, many didn't, and mostly close to release. Juniper has had the hole for every mule and still does close to release. I think it will come with the camera
Nobody knows anything at all. It's just videos on the internet about this and that, guessing what the New Model Y will look like, but nobody has any real information. Basically, it's all speculation that anyone could have come up with. The car that shows covered looks like any other model Y, nothing new. All a bunch os BS just for likes
What country are you in? Starting today in the US, Tesla has resumed production of their vehicles in both US factories so all Model Y LR RWD, LR AWD, and Performance vehicles will soon be available to buy and pickup ASAP.
There is a guy in china driving the car. There was a passenger in the back taking a video so the inside looks like the new 3. we should see photos of the exterior any day now
My problem with getting an EV is that I would like a full-size SUV and Tesla doesn’t make one. (I’ve been in the model X and it is much smaller than my Honda pilot). So I will wait….
@ Yeah, I really like the Rivian R1S. The absolute lowest trim level with the rebate is still $72,150 (Before tax and destination fees.) That’s out of my price range right now, Especially with the inflation in the last four years….🤷♂️
@@osirisvasquez2709 literally just got my model y at .99%, 0 due at signing. With 8k incentive in New York. After New Year jts already 8% down and 5.99% APR for the same car, love my model y long range. Great car don’t see a reason for juniper
@@David-ff7vp Juniper will be a massive upgrade from the current model. Styling, seats, cabin comfort, cabin noise, suspension/ride, battery... the list goes on. I'm happy that you got a deal on the old model, and for most people that's probably the correct move to save some money. But to say it's not going to be a big upgrade is misleading. It will be huge, and its the release Tesla needs to top the market again.

Bidirectional charging just like the Cybertruck so I can power my house when there's a power outage!
@AgAviation that’s a huge one, fingers crossed it comes with V2G
At least V2L
@barygol I’d be happy if they didn’t give anything else but gave us V2L, so many instances I wanted to plug something in but my inverter couldn’t handle it
Isn't the trunk already powered? or do you mean frunk?

Need upgraded battery that can handle cold weather better
thats a really major point fingers crossed we see a range bump
Which model do you have that has issues? Both M3 SR and Model Y LR RwD seems to handle cold very well.
Smoother handling, hopefully. I test drove the new Model 3 and the old Model Y on back to back days and the Y was really beefy in comparison. It was like steering a bull in comparison.
Yup I agree, the Model 3 definitely got a huge upgrade and hoping the Model Y will as well!

Thanks! Yup current cars are amazing but juniper is going to blow everything out of the water, can’t wait 🔥
this Juniper thing is driving vloggers crazy.
Yup staying on top of it takes a lot of headache
will it have vent seats a deal maker/breaker
Definitely will have perforated and ventilated seats
If i were to order a Y today would it be the Juniper?
Not necessarily. I would wait until the website is updated to be safe, if you want the refresh
Yeah I’d wait to be safe like he said 👆 although with zero inventory it’s very likely you’ll get juniper

Def going to order a quicksilver performance when it drops
Thats literally the perfect combo. It with the new aggressive look is going to look sick!
What is the difference between the 2025 model Y Juniper and the 2025 model Y opal?
Never heard of a Model Y Opal, maybe you have a different language translation set
@ if you do a UA-cam search for 2025 Tesla model Y opal you’ll come up with a bunch of UA-cam videos. Not sure what the difference is between the Juniper and the opal.
They're both the same but was renamed to Opal for whatever reason, google should have the specific reason.
@@WinterFrostx Thanks. It was a little confusing as some channels call it the Juniper and some the Opel.
WISH US GOOD LUCK, FRIENDS.

Thousand or so increase most likely, like what happened to the M3 Highland (although it only happened to LR-AWD and Performance)
Great job John!! 👍
Appreciate it ❤️
How long until we get a performance version of this 👀

@ ohhhh i can’t wait!!!
Why would they put front bumper cam in Y but not 3?
Maybe production of the camera was on the low end previously and only starting to ramp up. Newer Model 3s will eventually come with it
Why do I have to up the volume to max?
Sorry I’m working on fixing the audio after tinkering around settings while I was traveling
Good content as usual ❤❤
Thanks Kevin, appreciate it! ❤️
it better have 95kwh battery pack or higher this time
Fingers crossed 🤞
Can't wait for the unveiiling, hoping for a bigger battery, faster charging and V2l adapter.
Yup those are all the major features I’m looking for too nice

Juniper looks overhyped. Just basically model 3 refresh applied to model y lol. Much better deal to get current model y with the tax credit
