Hello, thank you for sharing your video. I do have a question if I were to use the Perfumers alcohol would that be replacing the percentage of the distilled water?
I am too lazy to make my own room spray base! I am going to try Ohio Fragrance for the room/linen and also California Candle Supply for the body spray I can’t wait!!
I have found that mixing the poly20, fragrance, glycerin, Preservative together then slowly streaming in the water into that mixture and whisking all the while, really helps to keep it from separating. I actually like the milky white color it becomes, it looks fancy in a colored glass bottle.
I just put a similar gram scale in my cart because I want to make very small batches for testing. And yes I feel like the government will that I’m making d*rugs lol by ordering the scale. Only it’s candles…but, I do have an addiction: buying fragrance oils!
Hi! This formula absolutely requires water. You could also use a perfumer’s alcohol instead of water. If you did this, you’d also need to take out the poly 20 and Optiphen as they would not be necessary.
Great comment! Poly 20 is used more in cosmetics than poly 80-it’s less viscous and will make a less stiff product which is why you’ll often find poly 80 in solid products like bath bombs and poly 20 in products like scrubs and sprays.
Do you think room spray beses with just perfumers alcohol should have something to prevent it from being too drying? I don’t find it drying personally but some makers say you should avoid just using alcohol.
The alternative would be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. Any water-based product that you use on your body contains a preservative. This formula uses Optiphen, which is naturally-derived, and I would not consider 1% very much 😉
@@earthglow if you put water, you have to put preservative. Sugarcane alcohol or perfumers alcohol would be best if we are marketing it as skin safe body spray.
@@mrscchow-hi7uh I did mention these specific alcohols as options in the video as well if people are trying to obtain a clear base. You will find that some customers have skin irritation to alcohol of any sort, even though these alcohols are absolutely safe for this application as a base. if you’re that concerned about 1% of a preservative, you need to start analyzing your cosmetics drawer as well as your refrigerator and pantry.

Thank you so much for your kindness. It is deeply appreciated. 💛😊
DOES THIS LEAVE RESIDUE BEHIND ON WOOD FLOORS AND SHEETS??
Hello thank you for the formula
How long is shelf life of this ?

Yes, you’d also be replacing the poly 20 and the preservative would not be necessary either.

I haven’t tried those bases yet! Hope they work out for you!
I tried Ohios base with alcohol it’s great but but it’s always sold out
@@Erinyeger73 I am going to have to commit to a big jug once it’s back in stock!
I used Cierra Candles and supplies linen rm base and it’s very good no cloudiness.
Someone in my Facebook group recommended Dulceria Candle supply base. I make my own base but open to trying premade.
I wish I had seen this video before I bought my bottles. You have been so helpful when I had issues with my clear labels. You are awesome.
So glad this one was helpful!

What percentage of glycerin do you use?
This is great Allen! Your recipe doesn't have the glycerin in it, can you tell us what the percentage should be with that in it?? Much appreciated!!❤
Hi Nancy! That info is available on my Patreon. Glad you enjoyed!
Midwest’s room spray base is excellent. 👌
Where did you get your bottles from?
What a difrent polisorbate 20 & 80.

Ha ha ha!!! That is too funny. Good scale though!
Hi I need to know we need to have water in the spray? Or I can use the base natural da maker's? Thank you 😊

Thanks for sharing your very informative videos . What’s the amount of glycerin?
Absolutely! I share my version of the formula on Patreon. The link is in the description if you’d like to join. 💛👍🏼
@@earthglow thanks ! Love all your content. Love and light !
Have you tried poly 80 instead of 20 to get a clear formulation? I’ve seen it on a couple places.
Great comment! Poly 20 is used more in cosmetics than poly 80-it’s less viscous and will make a less stiff product which is why you’ll often find poly 80 in solid products like bath bombs and poly 20 in products like scrubs and sprays.
Poly 80 is also quite a bit darker in color which may be an important consideration for leave on products as well.
Hii!! What percent of glicerin do you use for room spray ? Thank youuu for sharing 🩷
Hi there! This info is available in my Patreon. Thanks!
@earthglow what is the address for your patreon

Too drying as in to be sprayed in a room? I don’t recommend using alcohol but specifically perfumer’s alcohol if you’re looking for a clear base.
May i ask where you got the beautiful bottles
These are from Liquid Bottles 😊
Thank you❤
Does it glog the sprayer at all :)
It does not clog these sprayers.
Polysorbate 80 is better for binding this formula
Poly 80 is really not recommended in water-based products due to its high viscosity.
@@earthglow okay thank you so much so poly 20 is better for me to use?
Should you be using preservative laden spray on your body?
