I listen to your videos on the daily. It proves to me just how important it is to get “background” on a new client. I start with a gene gram and temperament test. It reveals so much and shows me where the “work” needs to begin. I lead multiple inner child healing work groups. It is profound and transformative work.

Dr. Tim I didn't expect this session to hit me emotionally the way it has but when you talk about that woman's childhood world it makes me want to cry and I don't cry much.

This story is so sad. I could not imagine laying side by side with my mother dying and trying to synchronize my breath. I would be with her there, but not that close.

This was a particularly difficult video for me to listen to. I didn't "cheat" on my wife, not technically anyway. But with the porn and OF, I might as well have. I never wanted to hurt her. She truly is the love of my life. I don't want the images or other women, but sometimes in the darkest moments self pleasure seems like the only way to stop the pain, anxiety and depression. I'm sorry and I want to be better, I want to heal. 13 days today, one day at a time.

In recent years, I’ve been healing from trauma similar to this story, specifically dealing with the fear of abandonment and not feeling safe.
I’m blessed to be in a happy marriage, it doesn’t even cross my mind to ever cheat in any type of way. Loyalty, faithfulness, love and respect is paramount for me in the way I treat myself, my other half and those that I allow to be close to me.
What I find interesting is that Kirsten’s story resurfaces in my nightmares, a few times per year. And it’s the same storyline where I am either (1) stuck in my past with an abusive ex, as if my real life today has never manifested. (2) living exactly my life now, but me being the cheater and ruining my life. Note, I call it a NIGHTMARE and I wake up horrified at the possibility.
Consciously, nothing close to this goes through my mind and it’s scary that my subconscious plays this narrative in my dreams. This reminds me that healing is a life long journey, it’s humbling and we must develop our awareness every day, otherwise the lack of it, will take over our lives, not in a good way. Wish everyone healing, peace in their minds and hearts ❤️ Thank you Tim!

    • @katrinat.3032

Sometimes good people have affairs. And what Tim explains is very true. You can think that you love someone and you’ve been in it so long you truly believe that you love them, but deep down inside if you were never really heard or validated, and you’re in a relationship where you’re not heard or validated but that seems normal to you. Then someone comes along and makes you feel heard and validated and many other things, floodgates that you never knew you had will open up and make you want to be with that person so bad. Because you never had somebody care about you the way that person cares about you. That’s one way that a good person with good morals may fall into an affair. It has to do with unconscious needs that were never met. That’s suddenly getting met in this other person and it’s like a whole New World to you.

@@mobilityproject3485 the fact that they describe it as 'cheating'...is not indicative of someone who has 'learned'. Imo
Let's hope they've never had any childhood trauma ever...

@@lynnebailey6528 Did you run into this channel yesterday?
The bulk of our generational trauma in this continent (and really most of the rich world) is from people that engage in wrong sexual behavior. People that cheat, screw with random strangers, use or engage in the prostitution and porn trades, etc.
It offends me that so many people go though this stuff and perpetrate the same things to their kids, or those of others. Maybe they didn't know when they first got addicted (12 or 13), but it is pretty obvious to someone with an adult level of comprehension that this is the source of most childhood trauma.
You knew what it felt like. Didn't you fear becoming like 'those people' when you were little and they were wronging you? More than anything else in the world?

  • @mobilityproject3485
    @mobilityproject3485 5 місяців тому +8

The big irony is, most of the generational trauma in this country, this continent is caused by poor sexual behavior... sad that people haven't gotten that yet...

  • @Isesaa1

So… if she was trying to get her needs met through this new man, does that mean her needs weren’t truly being met by her husband?.. Does that mean she wasn’t genuinely and authentically connecting with him the way she thought she was? Does that mean that her relationship with her husband wasn’t “healthy” enough to heal her trauma?

Di you offer zoom therapy? If so how much per hour? My insurance only covers a particular group. I spent over a year, and all she seems to do is recommend a book to read. Year or two later went when very suicidal, close as I have come in 3 decades, she said we'll we both know you were not serious about doing, give my guns to a friend, until this passes. Needless to say, not interested in them.

He has so many videos on how to heal trauma. However, the 'how to heal' won't work effectively if you don't first take time to understand what you are dealing with. Understanding trauma is the first step towards healing to avoid constant relapses and fatigue of doing the work on self.

@@paulinenjeri5254 Well OK, you must have watched many of his videos, so you must know what his methods of healing the trauma are? I've watched some of his videos specifically titled "how to heal from the trauma" or whatever, and there is NOTHING THERE. So what are they? ... Journaling? EMDR? Somatic work? Hypnosis? ??? ...cuz I'm not finding it. Thanks.
