- Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Ridley Scott and Brian Grazer talk about American Gangster in this 2007 interview on The Charlie Rose Show.
Russell and Denzel are great together! Two of the best actors in cinema history!
Amen!
Denzel and Russell are two of the greatest living actors.
Oh my God yes, and some,,, ha!
And ironically that both Crowe & Washington are now of part of the Gladiator universe though 25 years apart (posted December 30th 2024)
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen this movie. Brilliant.
same here Shabnam...
SAME HERE!!!
Same
Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe are the amongst the legend's of actors in our time.
2007 was a great year for film
No country for old men
American gangster
There will be blood
3:10 to Yuma another great Russell Crowe performance in that year. Him Foster and Bale were all great.
@@willk1756 forgot this one! If someone said to me in 2007, that year would be one of the best in cinema history, I would look at him with perplexity. But now... American gangster, we own the night, Eastern promise, zodiac, cassandra dream, death proof, into the wild, there will be blood, no country for old men!!!! And I forgot more like yuma!
What a great cast, including Denzel and Russell, but also Josh Brolin, Armand Assante, etc.
The place was all imported, brick by brick
Brolin is terrifying. And special.
It's a movie about integrity.
Denzel should have gotten an Oscar for AG
Yes!!!
He usually deserves an Oscar for every movie he's in, except those action movies in the last 5 or so years of his career. But every drama he's in is an academy award level performance.
Incredible script and performances by both stars! The entire film made me want to rewatch it again immediately after first viewing.
Denzel Washington a brilliant actor
Extraordinary interview, wonderfully Frank. The movie is a movie you can keep watching over the years and just keeps getting better.😊
Great watching these again in 2021. Masters of their craft.
This movie really made a huge impression on me at an age when I was just starting to gain more understanding of what great cinema is, when I started to watch more adult serious drama movies. This is such a rewatchable movie, so well made, two amazing stars toe to toe, incredible cast, the entire look of the movie just draws you into that dirty '70s NY, very immersive, I love it
That's a great film.
@Denzel Washington Get lost creep
@@delight1057 lol
I thought that was the real Denzel for a second.
@@dk6173 haha
My favorite performance in this movie is John Ortiz.
great movie instant classic
Awesome movie 👍
I just loved Denzel Washington in all of his movies. No matter how good of an actor he is, Denzel Washington sure is not only handsome, but yet he also looks much to clean to be involved in the heroin business. I’m pretty sure that Frank Lukas was probably more uglier, in real life, than Denzel Washington who played his character in the story. Lol! Thanks for this memorable presentation. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦.
Lol uglier? 😂😂😂
Denzel Washington always elevates every movie!
They clearly should've gotten more water for Ridley lol
brian going for the christopher walken hair style lol
11:38. Goosebumps.
M8 he's the govna - fucking love it lol
Yep classic
I would like to see Denzel as President United States
Did you forget the producer was sitting there as well?
Within this (: the fact or an instance of deviating or being aberrant especially from a moral standard or normal state. aberrations of character. b. : something or someone regarded as atypical and therefore able to be ignored or discounted.) an extraordinary ensemble of cast.
If only Maximus was alive to make it in gladiator 2 and saw each other it'll have everybody cheering 📣 and screaming 😱.
Brian Grazer too
Classic
Mmmm no la recuerdo, la busco. Ese año fue accidentado para mí, eso fue.
1:15 oy!! foightin' round the woild!"
It’s always ego that gets you eh
I'm struggling with Denzel's initial lack of interest in the character juxtaposed to the points of interest he eventually highlighted about it. Still my favourite film.
Weird vibe in this room lol
How come in every other sentence, Russell has to say "you know!" It has no sensible meaning.
it's a men's world.
