The stock pegs are weighted to kill the vibes through your feet, you probably won't notice the vibes ,unless you go for a long fast ride on a motorway or freeway as they say in America

Thank you for the video. I just installed the same set of pegs after watching, along with the tall seat option. I can tell you that all together this has transformed the bike. I’m 6’2 so ever bit helps. Also I didn’t notice any increase in vibration. Highly recommended

Thats great, does the tall seat feel more comfortable? And does it push you more forward/ or feel like you have a longer reach?

Simple Simon, the tall seat does have a slight incline, but nothing absurd. It did have a hair more reach and pitch forward. Nothing that would fatigue my arms by any means. It took me a ride around town to get readjusted. Well worth it in my opinion.

@@SimpleSimon I put the taller Ergo seat and some Renthal Street Low bars (I'm 6' even) and think it's hugely improved. I'd prefer rearsets to bringing my feet lower, however.

A 1/4" gain and a little weight loss at the cost of comfort and more vibration is not a good trade off. They also cheapen the look of the Z900. Just my 2 cents.

My bike came with rizoma pegs so I have not tried the standard ones .. but yes they are super heavy .. I have not noticed any vibration on my pegs, hope you are happy with your new pegs :)

1/4 of an inch?! Keep the original, just take out the rubber part and get the SAME difference, or reduce the rubber, or instead of theese get sth.that's lower!

I might go this as a temporary change before I can afford some quality rear-sets

Hi, can I ask you please, what is the precise size of the thru axle and the support that attaches to the frame of the bike?
    - pin hole diameter
    - distance between the two pin exit holes (support width)
    many thanks in advance

Nice video - I think I will try it -
    I have secondary concern :
The striking negative thing that I noticed when I got on my Z900 for the first time was how short the brake and shift levers were ? ? ?
When did they start making these components so short ? Also, I find that the shift lever end keeps getting stuck to my shoe where the laces and eyelets are at the upper edge material . So when I want to move my foot from under the shift lever it snags and prevents me from rotating my foot out and around the end of the lever . Is there a longer brake and shift lever with a smoother end on the shift lever ?
I also have some large boots and they barely squeeze in between the foot peg and the shift lever . It makes shifting difficult because the shift lever is constantly pressed against the boot so rotation upward presses horizontally almost as much as vertically . I have to move my foot back on the peg to get a good upward rotation on the lever . I am hoping these new pegs will help with that .
Thanks again for your fine videos .

Yes I had the same problem with these rearsets I had to make some adjustments to the levers to help. And some adjustments to my foot position. It does to seem to get better over usage. Maybe a set of aftermarket rearsets could help. Thanks for watching.

I got the foot pegs - they each are 2 pieces - one piece is the pivot part with the hole for the pin and bolt threads that mate with the pegs - the other part is just the peg with female threads through the middle
How do I secure the peg from unscrewing out from the pivot part ? lock washers and Permatex ?

I will get my foot pegs Saturday - I did receive a set the other day but they had scratches on them and I sent them back .
I was able to install an adjustable shift lever and it took care of all the problems I had with shifting ... it is wonderful ! It extended the shift button out closer to my toes and now shifting is a breeze - no problem moving foot over and under - no snags either .

Looks cheap. Not good. Also probably vibrate more that the nice rubber topped OEM ones. Not worth the 1/4" gain.
