Question of the Day ⚡Do you use Step Up Rings & ND Filters ? Let us know! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 **** Check out the K&F Concept Set of Step Up Ring HERE ➡️ amzn.to/39BHqYJ
I currently use an ND filter for my only lens, the 15-45mm kit lens for my M50. I'm probably going to get a 22mm lens in the future, so the step up rings will be perfect! 😁
PRO TIPS!!!! Amazing. Simple little things like this that i NEVER would have known about if i didn't follow this channel. SO informed now before i even begin. GOLDEN. Many thanks guys.
Thank you so much guys, your videos are really helping me with my journey and hopefully I’ll grow bigger and better going forward! To whoever is trying just like me, keep going, we will make it!💪🏼
Another beginner here. Followed a lot of Think Media advices and suggestions. Thank you guys!!! You're amazing!! And to all new youtubers like myself, good luck!!! Let's help one another.
If my camera lens has a thread count of 52 can I buy two 52 thread count filters and stack them on top of each other or would I have to buy one 52 and a step up ring and the other filter has to be different thread size
These are great tips. It’s awesome that they now allow you to show a negative COVID test. That pool at the Hyatt Centric is gorgeous but what a bummer that the bar is closed. Tim Ho Wan is a must!
Is there any reason for buying the specific 52-67 instead of few stacked ones? let's say for nd or polarizer filter. Does the filter to lens distance matter in any way?
Did you ever find out? Was trying to find this out myself. Was thinking to buy separate single ones rather than stack? But if no benefit should save money and get the set
I used them before one thing on some lenses like a wide angle it might cause vignetting at the wide end. I only use two filters these days a variable ND and a CPL I do put clear filters on all my lenses.
Is there any solution when using the ND filter and also be able to use the Thread Ring for teleprompter? I have trouble for shooting outdoor with broad daylight
I'm kind of confused. I recently bought the Freewell Magnetic VND filter set 67mm (for my 16mm Sigma lens). Then, I bought a 55mm->67mm Freewell magnetic/thread Step-Up Ring for my Sigma 56mm lens. However, the thread size of that lens is 55mm.... I am able to screw it on my lens, but it doesn't seem to fit the Freewell... OR it magnetically sticks to the Freewell filter lens but then doesn't screw onto the SIGMA lens.. any insight?
My favourite and affordable accessory? A simple microphone. I think people need to understand that all the 'extra' accessories are, for the most part, unnecessary. Use your smart phone, plug in a high quality microphone, get a decent light source and you're ready to go. Don't overthink/overlook the essentials! 👍🏻
@@Corrupted-file Don't, it's a way for companies to make money by asking channels to promote certain products and they get a cut of the profits. The essentials is what I always recommend for smaller channels who aren't ready to invest in expensive equipment
Thank you for your video , One confusion generate after finalization of 77mm FREEWELL filter stop 2-5 . which (…mm to ..mm) step up/adopter ring .? Can cover 17-28 & 28-75 f 2.8 Sony E mount , thread 67mm and future lenses and which company to buy in reasonable price ...., help me out of this please
Question for ya. Can I use videos with tik tok filters on my youtube account without getting into trouble? There's no music in it just the fun filters like green screen etc.
Thanks for sharing this information. Currently, I am still grasping the similarities and differences between ND filters and brands for photography and videography. This video definitely gives clarity on how to minimize the amount of filters to buy...or not to 😅 Thanks 🙏🏽 💯
Whatever you do, the step up ring must be black and the least reflective as possible otherwise you can get internal reflections off the step up ring onto the filter in certain lighting conditions.
I am so glad I watched this now. I just bought the canon 22mm lens and was looking at nd filters but I will just buy oversized and get the step up rings instead for if I get another lens!
If you have, say, four different filer sizes (NOT thread sizes) then buy three step-up rings (say a 40.5 (Sony), a 49mm and 62mm) if your largest filter is 77+. Look for companies that make one ring that goes, say, from 40.5 to 77. If you want to stack rings, fine, but there are rings made that go from small to large in one ring, as in my example (40.5 is a pain in the ass to find).

Honestly didn’t know about the specific step up ring for the filter thread. Thank you so much!
Get only the largest filter 77mm. Then get all step up rings to Max your investment.
Oooo $7 I want all of them! 🤩 Take my money

This is so good, I have got a new m50 so this is great stuff. Thanks
do you need to use multiple step up rings, or can you just step up from say 67mm to 87mm without multiple step up rings inbetween?
If I want to use my 67mm filter on a 49mm filter, which one should i get? I wanna use my Tamron 28-75 2.8 filter for Sony 50mm 1.8
Do I need to remove my 58mm UV and buy a larger UV to go over and protect my 67mm ND filter? Or under it? Or what?
Thanks John

maybe for macro photographer idk
Are these compatible with Tilta Mini Matte boxes?

Sooo what is a step up ring? Did I miss it?
Step Down, e.g. for close-up lenses where this type of macro glass may be smaller than the diameter of the lens
