Nicely explained for a beginner like me! Can you do a video on the difference between ND filters and CPL filters? They confuse me and I'm not sure which one to use, when?

Good job, I do need an ND filter and I think I'm gonna take your advice and go with a variable version because I do a lot of automotive DIY videos outside and inside. Thanks for posting.
We shoot funny challenges with consequences. We did buy ND filters for the Spring time when we start filming outside. We also bought the up and down steps so we can use the same filters for most of our lenses.
I am going to film both outdoors and indoors and I am on a really tight budget now in the beginning. What camera and equipment should I buy? Need ok quality for UA-cam, but at a low cost if possible. Preferably something that can be upgraded easily.
The 15-45 Kit Lens is very nice, and light-weight, and the 22mm Pancake lens is perfect for low-light head shots. Get the 15-45mm Kit Lens, AND the 22mm.
We do travel vlogs. What size lens do you need to get the blurry background? I'm getting ready to get the Canon m50 and it would just have the kit lens.
This is perfect! I just bought a 3 pack of ND filters for my go pro for $25. Now what about increasing lightness for indoor video? Mine always comes out grainy even with lights on. No matter my phone or either camera 😫
great video but for the couple of videos your mic has been a bit hot maybe scoop some EQ out or decrease the volume. I hope this helps. love the videos
Hi thank you for sharing this interesting video. I am noticing that you have a lot of experience and I would like to ask you a question please. I'm about to buy a SonyA7 IV with Sony SEL 24-105mm f / 4 G OSS 77mm zoom lens. I only make 4K documentaries (I don't do stills) and these documentaries document the daily life of indigenous people in their villages in remote, hot and sometimes even dusty areas. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the color casts of the filter can be corrected in post-production, but not the sharpness of the filter. So I hope that the variable ND filter makes me lose the definition of the clip as little as possible. Could you recommend a precise variable ND filter for me, for my 4K documentaries please with a budget around or less than 150 euro? Thank you very much.
Hey I’m having a hard time trying to figure out which Variable ND filter to use. I’m gonna purchase the Sony A7IV with the 28-70 mm lens. What would you recommend?
The amount of bokeh you use in your indoor video is pretty much the maximum you need to separate the background a little and eliminate the distracting effects you get from fine structures like trees. Many people overdo bokeh though. They try to make the background as blurry as possible to justify their purchase of an expensive f/1.2 lens. They choose a beautiful lake as the background, but that background completely dissolves into an unrecognizable mess. That goes do far that even the subject is not completely in focus, because the depth of field is just so thin.
I'm brand Brand new to all of this but, I have a Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Lens on it's way in the mail and never considered a filter. I don't even know the size i would need to get for this lens. I think i'll be getting VND filter. Any recommendations for this lens? I'm an Amazon shopper.
Nolan.. What is up with your sound levels??? Last video and this one your voice (Sound) sounds overmodulated. Your voice is clipping and sounds really weird. Check for next time. Thanks.

Don't waste your money on nd filters! Camera already has a way to reduce overexposure. Nds are for still photography, not for youtube, especially when ylur camera is moving

Shooting mostly outside shots
I shot simple music covers, just me and my ukulele
ND Filters are great! The sound in this video... not so much!
Ummm that’s a very odd looking description when you open it up. Nothings they are just a template.
I still use an iPhone camera. The quality is highly different from a camera though

Every youtuber? What about youtubers like me who only shoot video indoors?
Gain is a bit high on your audio - seems to be clipping.
I need a better camera
Nolan, why have your recent videos been clipping so bad on your audio? You gotta know this is an issue by now!
Grow now, whose creating more vids in 2021? Like
cinematic = not natural/real life. 60 fps for real life video and use nd filter to reduce real life dynamic range

that we still use cheap cellphones trying to get it
