- In this video we are checking out one of the heavy hitters in Spray on Rinse off paint sealants. @ChemX Snake oil is a foam cannon applied ceramic foam paint sealant that claims to provide up to 90 days of paint protection and water beading. Lets put this product to the test and compare it to my current favorite “Touchless” by Mirror Finish Polishes.

Honestly been stuck between the two .. this is the video I been hoping someone had made, thanks for the honest review. Safe to say I’ve made my decision 👍🏽
Touchless all day err day
Thanks for taking the time to make this. I bought a gallon of Touchless based off your review and have been super happy I’ve used it for 8-10 washes so far and it works killer !
Good deal brother glad you dig it
Gonna be hard to beat touchless . That stuff is awesome 👌
GAME CHANGER!!!!
@@StaySlick yes sir for sure its all I use now .
We use Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax as Drying Agent C84-1 Dilute
$24 a gallon?? Do you have a commercial account with O'Reilly's? You can get it much much cheaper. I only pay @ $14 ish
@@94muddertrucker Yes'ir commercial, no taxes/shipping. Just checked our price online. Cost $23.60/gallon for 1 gallon size. We are in San Antonio, Tx. Beyond our quarterly resupply need but IF we buy bulkier we can get a 5 gallon size
1st thing I noticed is you're spraying every which way. Keep it steady and go left to right like your painting the trailer and go up each time you make a pass to try to keep it even as possible. Then make sure you rinse it really good going down and the dwell time is only 30 to 60 Seconds. I would say on a Black trailer in the sun no more than 30 seconds. Also it does help if you have more pressure and I noticed the foam Cannon is not putting out the snake oil like it should be. Snake oil is actually really foamy if you have enough pressure and enough gallons per minute. Tweak it just a little bit and you may find some good results from that or at least better results. Also, dilute it back down to where it should be. I know you said you like it strong and that may be part of it as well. Like I said, tweak it and play with it.
Good info. Unfortunately I have tried this product every which way since recording this video at different dilutions and in different foam cannons and it still has ceased to impress me like mirror finish touchless. Touchless is the superior product In that category especially at the price.
I got me 2 gallons of touch less and let me tell you it works. The best product I've ever bought.
Yea agreed. It’s my favorite product of the year.
Indeed it is, I detail cars every weekend an the only thing I use now is a blower to dry them. I do my best to keep them out the sun with this texas weather☀️
Hey man. Good review ! I can say these foam n rinse can cause streaks or water spots in direct sun if they dwell very long. I always Foam n rinse immediately then dry immediately as well. Good stuff man. Btw, I believe Snake Oil is 30% sio2. Not certain, you can reach out to Bob over there. I'm sure he'd love to chat about his stuff. Have a good one!
Right on brother thanks for watching. Yea I’ll have to reach out to bob then.
Out of all the spray on rinse off paint sealants you have tested - which one offers the most protection and longevity? Thanks and keep up the good work for us detail gurus
As I stated in the video paint sealants that are spray on don’t really shine in the longevity department. That’s really more reserved for liquid paint sealant but I have noticed that most often are around the same protection which is 30 to 90 days. I have personally seen auto NV matrix last that long and Mirror Finish touchless as well.
Need to have this in my arsenal. Great review.👍
Yup. That trailer will be slick because it says it stays slick on the side. Jk. Love touchless and have used chem x too. Although Chem x works well it is expensive so I'd prefer the touchless
Lol that’s right man. Stay Slick my friend 🤙🏽
Great review brother! Thanks
Hi there can you do a video taking care of the interior (leather) ? Regards
Great work brother.👍🇺🇸
Fucking loveeee these videos my dude. You got me hooked on auto envy matrix coming from carpro reload.
Right on brother thank you. Now try touchless. It’s the best of the bunch.
This is good but Touchless is less expensive and does a better job.
Subscribed. Great videos. Does this or Mirror Finish Ceramic Spray & Rinse completely replace using Tech Choice 582 or Bead Maker toppers for someone like me who is simply a home detail enthusiast? My vehicles have Turtle Wax Ceramic as the primary base protectant. Thanks and Stay Slick
Right on thank you. Hey you can do either or. You can just use the base layer of protection that you already have or use any spray paint sealant as a drying aide.
I see that Shine Supply product on the shelf!
You know wassup
Can Technicians Choice TEC582 be used similar way like these products?
Great video, thanks!
I’ve never used it in that way but that would be an interesting test
Any promo codes for touch less?
I tried Snake oil on different vehicles, different scenarios and it doesn’t last at all. First wash after 1 week with a ph neutral soap and the waterbeading and slickness is completely gone and applying something like this on everything wash is pointless.
Great video! Using touchless for past month on your recommendations. Really like this product but on some cars after the the rinse then dry I see streaks have to go over and wipe dry just like on snake oil issue. Any suggestions on eliminating streaking after the rinse/dry?
Most of the time it’s goi g to leave something. These sio2 products all do that. The trick I’ve learned is to blow off most of the water but leave enough to eliminate the streaks when using a drying towel. Mainly I see the streaks on glass.
Slick, I like the mirror less touch less. However, I noticed some spots after using. Is there an easy remedy to remove afterwards or does it require paint correction?
A handful of people have told me that they noticed spots I have never had this issue at least none that were non-removable the ones that I did see came off with a detail spray right after the wash. I’m not sure if maybe some people are using too much or letting it sit too long but like I said I haven’t had that issue myself
You Should Compare To CarPro’s HydrO2
I’ll check it out
Have you tried any VEROS premium car care products? Price points are high and the ey claim to be the best.
No never heard. Everyone says there’s is the best but nobody can prove it. “The Best” is very subjective.
@@StaySlick yeah the owner claims his products are the best. He loves to hear himself talk and went on and on about his products. Lol.
@@DonJulio949 Well now I gotta go look up the products now
Love it❗❗❗
Thank you 🙏🏼
Can you add a Sealant on top
You could but I would use these types of products as a standalone or maintenance product
You let it dwell for too long
I actually let it dwell for the exact time the bottle said so. Then I did it my way of spraying the product on and immediately rinsing off and it worked like it should.
@@StaySlick looked like it was drying at the top.
Bro….Chem X foams his snake oil on heavy you barely put any on and expect results????
Miguel listen. This is a comparison video of sorts. If snake oil is 3 times the price as other similar products (touchless, wet coat, punch it) and those other products perform as expected at these amounts then why should I give snake oil a pass for under performing. just cuz Chem x is popular and has a cult following? Not gonna happen man. In my opinion it works fine not amazing. Ps I’ve never had streaking issues with any of those other products.
Have a good mine man
Stay Slick 🤙🏽
No you listen.. So if it’s too expensive hate on it??? That’s what it sounds like from your reply. All I said was they put it on heavy and you put it on there so lightly that it was a bad comparison on your video so don’t tell me about no cult following if your just being cheap about it
Youre missing the point bud. There’s com petition in the market of detailing products. So if there is a similar product that can deliver better results with less product at a lower price it will always win.
