I purchased this ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSmDA16smq0C2AlNEjn-rxfI5AxUj6e3a for my standing desk, as I have trouble standing in one spot for extended periods of time. It's a great way to get in a workout while reading emails. I haven't yet mastered the art of composing an email while working out, but I look forward to that. You can definitely get a workout by bouncing up and down (my boss enjoys laughing at me "prancing"), but it's easier in Zoom meetings to use more core control to not bounce up and down so much. I haven't had the courage to do a full-on workout while in a meeting yet, but looking forward to that too!

I lost fifty pounds in the gym doing the elliptical everyday. But after a few months it was too easy and my heart rate didn't even go up very much while I was doing it. So I thought maybe it's time to change it uo now so I started doing the stairmaster and I am not uo to level 15 yet but I'm working on it. I thought I was surely gonna die the first time lol. But I'm gonna keep at it ill get there as long as I keep at it.
HELL yeah it does. It MELTS calories… ur not only getting a cardio workout, but an entire lower body endurance workout.. cardio/strength combined = MASSIVE calories burned… just don’t eat everything in sight when u get home because u will be hungry AF 😂😂
I’m gonna do this! But not everyday LOL, I’m usually an elliptical kind of girl but I’m making the switch to stair master! But yes I love seeing you in the gym because it’s motivating!!
I do 40 min on level 10 about 130 floors for 500 cal everyday and I’m eating 500 cal a day mainly protein and fat . I’m very happy how I look . I did this for 3 weeks and I’m will be going back to 1400 cal a day .
I started at level 2 today for 30 mins.. it killed me heart rate was at 185-190 .. but it was my first day.. gonna keep going by the end of the month hoping to get to level 10
I've been in de same swing. Not losing any weight just hoovering around that stupid number haha barely eating. But that was my biggest issue. I didn't eat enough.. I know that sounds counterproductive but since I actually started eating a good lunch with veggies and protein I've started loosing weight also got more energy. Apparently if your body doesn't get the calories it needs to do its basic functions it will go in survivor mode..
Okay the comments got me worried…I love the stairmaster and I’m never at the gym lol it feels like a fun elevator game. If I go up 40 stories, I trick myself into saying I have to do 40 more to go down. Lol so in total I do like 82 stories…
Stair master is bittersweet, it’s a killer but worth, as for doing it X amount of days straight, you gotta listen to ya body, yesterday was my 4th day on the trot, but I was doing other stuff in the gym as well, and yesterday I had burnout, everything I was doing, I pretty much had no strength or energy, physically or mentally
Why can I do the stair master for 15 to 20 minutes at a time just beginning the gym but when I skip the elevator at my apartments and take the stairs to the 3rd floor I’m out of breath and hurting half way …am I doing it wrong 😑
What speed (level) are u doing it at? If u can do 10 minutes straight, WITHOUT holding on at all, at level 12, then you are an ANIMAL because that’s what I do, and it took me almost a month to work up to that. It’s all in how fast you go (level)
@@mariab1572 it’s really hard to get to that level THAT fast. I’m not trying to brag, but I’m a guy (so testosterone helps), and I really push myself hard 5-6 days a week when I work out… I honestly would just do it as hard as I could for a MINIMUM of like 7 or 8 minutes (for the first week or so), and I couldn’t get up past level 7 or 8 (in the beginning). Also, the first 2-3 weeks I would do intervals.. 1 minute of no touching at like level 6 or 7, then 1 minute of leaning on the machine at level 7 or 8. Go back and forth like that for as long as you can (might only be 6 or 8 minutes). You can start way lower than that tho… maybe do 1 minute at level 3 or 4 (no touching), then 1 minute at level 5 or 6 (allowed to lean forward and hold on). I would just try to bump up a level every 4-5 days. After I did intervals like that for a month (from level 9 or 10 to level 11 or 12), I started to just do level 8 for 5 minutes straight (no touching) followed by level 9 or 10 for 5 minutes straight (no touching again). You just have to gain leg endurance and it can take a month to 2 months to work up to that level (depending how often you work out and how hard you push yourself). DO NOT be ashamed of yourself if you can only do really low levels for the first month. The stair climber is KILLER on your legs and it’s SUPER hard to go fast. Just push yourself every workout and try to bump the levels up every week and eventually, you will starting kicking butt! 💪🏻
@@mariab1572 so it might have taken me longer than a month to work up to level 12 for 10 mins straight (no touching). Might’ve been a month and a half… hard to remember… all I know is that it’s SO hard on your legs 😂

Sameee😂 My first time on it I did 10 minutes with three 2 minute breaks, today I did 13 with four 2 minute breaks, my heart rate be through the roof lol
I love this machine! I do 10 min of bodyweight, 2 sets of 1 min slow, 1 min fast, 1 min skip a step, 1 min skip a step side steps each side. Then I hold light kettlebells and go slow for safety. 10 min of walking with intermittent 1 min slightly faster pace to switch it up. Kills my calves.
A level 10 for how long tho??? If she’s doing level 10 her ENTIRE workout, then yeah… that’s pretty impressive. You have to understand that it takes a SOLID month to month and a half to build leg endurance for the stair climber. It is absolutely BRUTAL to beginners, but eventually u will be able to do level 12 for 10 mins straight without holding on 😉
YRG Arlo when I first started the stair master I told myself I would go for 10 minutes with a 5 minute cool down. And I also was super tired and out of breath. So after every 5 minutes I would give myself a minute break, drink water and just breath. Now I go for 45 minutes, after 10 minutes take a minute break and drink. It gets a lot easier the more you go. I got five days a week. I Do the stair stepper 5 days. 3 days for 45 minutes, but 2 days only for 15 just to wake myself up and get ready for my workout.
I started doing this.. I have a little flappy thighs.. does it tone the muscles or the leg looks bulkier? This makes me scared as I’m trying to lose weight please help♥️
Great Video 🥰 I have a love/hate relationship with the stair master. I have been on the stairs a little over 2 years now @ level 12...6 days a week. It’s worth the try 😉
Conked out at level 17 increasing the level every 2 minutes, then I realized the tiny bit of weight I was removing by holding the handles and couldn't get passed level 15. I don't think I'll need the max speed of level 20/25
Just look for some long stairs outside somewhere and run up and down. Or - like me - live on the upper floor of a building and get a workout for free 😅

Girl mines kept getting almost stuck I was able to catch it lol 😂 I’m going back in the morning I wanna Master this! It’s all physiological but with time we can do it without any anxiety! 🙌🏾
The stairmaster and vertical climbers are my favorite workouts
So good!
How long did you do the elliptical each day?
@@Ruffles729 3o mins plus the 5 min cool down
@@Ruffles729 I'm down 80 lbs now I switched to the stair master because I thought it looked hard to do so I made myself do it.
@@KareBearPacker Oh wow. Congratulations!
@@Ruffles729 thank you so much!
Lets cut to the chase does it help lose weight yes or no
LMFAOOOOOOO
lmfao yes it really does. an hour on the stair master is easily 1000 calories burnt
RIGHT😂😂😂😂 that’s what I’m trying to figure out
HELL yeah it does. It MELTS calories… ur not only getting a cardio workout, but an entire lower body endurance workout.. cardio/strength combined = MASSIVE calories burned… just don’t eat everything in sight when u get home because u will be hungry AF 😂😂
YES IT DOES! LMFAOOOOO 😂😂😂😂
I can’t wait to have my baby and go back to working out and eating extra clean !
awww congrats, doll! 💕
I’m gonna do this! But not everyday LOL, I’m usually an elliptical kind of girl but I’m making the switch to stair master! But yes I love seeing you in the gym because it’s motivating!!
I do 40 minutes in 8-10 then 5 in 6 or 5 to cool down
Your a machine lol
Legit you’re a freakin machine !
I do 40 min on level 10 about 130 floors for 500 cal everyday and I’m eating 500 cal a day mainly protein and fat . I’m very happy how I look . I did this for 3 weeks and I’m will be going back to 1400 cal a day .
I heard level 10 to begin and cried 😂
you got this!
I started at level 2 today for 30 mins.. it killed me heart rate was at 185-190 .. but it was my first day.. gonna keep going by the end of the month hoping to get to level 10
I did 50min between 7 -10 3200 steps. Hopefully I can lose more weight bc I've been on a plateau for a year. I hardly eat so that might be why🥲
Apparently if your body doesn't get the calories it needs to do its basic functions it will go in survivor mode..
reverse diet!
Keep workouts the same and increase calories. Your body is in starvation mode and won’t let go of fat.
50 minutes! You deserve everything life has to offer!! That machine is no joke!
Yes, it says famine in your future so it lowers your metabolism. You can even burn your protein at this point more than your fat.
Girl I love the stairmaster especially after this whole pandemic am back at it! 🙋🏻☺
if you are feeling low- get on this machine-
Facts!
Okay the comments got me worried…I love the stairmaster and I’m never at the gym lol it feels like a fun elevator game. If I go up 40 stories, I trick myself into saying I have to do 40 more to go down. Lol so in total I do like 82 stories…
I prefer the stairmaster to the treadmill because it doesn't put pressure on my feet [treadmill walking and running absolutely destroy them]
Scared 2 try this but giving it a try 2morrow😱
So after 3 weeks I FINALLY DID IT😁😁😁😨😨😨 but i hurt my leg hopping off it
Stair master is bittersweet, it’s a killer but worth, as for doing it X amount of days straight, you gotta listen to ya body, yesterday was my 4th day on the trot, but I was doing other stuff in the gym as well, and yesterday I had burnout, everything I was doing, I pretty much had no strength or energy, physically or mentally
🥴🥴
I like intense stair workouts
Level 12 at 3 sets with 2 minutes
no pain no gain
Pain is weakness leaving the body.
@@coryjohnson2486 How did you work up to level 12 within a month. What was your process? Would love to try this. I’m a beginner
@@coryjohnson2486 Thanks I appreciate the info. I was able to do level 5 for 10 minutes while holding but it was definitely a struggle but I will try it your way and build up my tolerance. I go gym 3 times a week so it’ll definitely take me longer but I know it’s worth it
Just don't over due it. Take care of yourself
I always listen to my body just as I always tell you dolls to do! 💕
@@akaydoll i pulled a pectoral muscle working out one time. Not a good feeling
Start wearing waist trainers and do the Stair Master for 30 minutes 5 days a week, thank me later.
I literally started the gym yesterday and I embarrassed about what people might say about me. I really don't know what I am doing but anyway thanks for the tip
Waist trainers do nothing
@@e.a.1548 With diet and exercise yes they do.
@@FoxQueen13853 it’s the diet and exercise that do it, the waist trainer doesnt do anything its been proven
@@e.a.1548 waist trainers give u a hug just when u feel down and about to quit..boom here comes waist trainer with a big hug for motivation 🤷🏾♂️…I’m not against them
if you have a versa climber at the gym, please try it. it’s amazing for a full body cardio workout
Totally agree, Versa climber is 💪🏼 💯Had one in my gym in NY but no more in CT 😩
Awesome!! Keep up the fitness journey and sharing😃..... great motivation!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Okay girl !! We see you on the stair master !! 🙌🏼👏🏼
awesome and inspiring! in my 3rd week every day. thanks so much!
I just started 3 weeks ago I kind of get 1500 stairs in about 20 mins ...is that any good
Yes! That’s about where I’m at, that’s fantastic. I always hear woman at the gym saying their dying at 100 to 300 steps, so that’s fantastic!
Should be doin 45 min on rolling hills and 5+ speed
I can't walk on stairmaster for two minutes straight without my tongue hanging out 😂 followed by two minutes break
😂😂😂me at the gym today. I did 10 min but I had to take like 3 breaks in between 😣.
Yall, I can only do 2 m. One time I did 5 m and almost kms too much.
Sameee😂 My first time on it I did 10 minutes with three 2 minute breaks, today I did 13 with four 2 minute breaks, my heart rate be through the roof lol
Stairmaster Goated cardio Fr
I do 30 minutes on 7
good effort
Damn that’s great
Can we use converse? Or running shoes I only have those.
Can you do a video about how you rounded out your hips? What work outs did you do for that?!
Preksha Patel I have a video called how to get rid of hip dips
Kayla Lashae thank you ❤️❤️
Level 10!!!!! I’m a virgin to this machine. I’m at 5
I can only say the same!! I switch between 4 to 7 but that's it.
I do level 10, but only for 5 mins at a time or I'll die
wow your makeup is Flawless
This video gave me so many new ideas to switch up my eating routine!
She said a level 10. I'm disappointed in myself I'm on level 4. SMDH
You’ve got this!
Girl, I'm still at 1 or 2
I did level 4 today too! It kicked my ass 😩😂 We will get there eventually!! Keep grinding!! 💪🤍
A level 10 for how long tho??? If she’s doing level 10 her ENTIRE workout, then yeah… that’s pretty impressive. You have to understand that it takes a SOLID month to month and a half to build leg endurance for the stair climber. It is absolutely BRUTAL to beginners, but eventually u will be able to do level 12 for 10 mins straight without holding on 😉
This is hard but I've been doing an hour every other day man this be sweating you out 😂
Excuse me? An hour?! You are amazing
@@rachaelrichman-harris1956 haven't done that for a minute though 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for this informative video. I am gonna give the stairmaster a shot.
I can only use the stairmaster for 2mins then I'm done 🤪 seriously killer for the thighs.
The best!
It was my first time doing it today
Level 3 but I only lasted 5 minutes lol
Any tips for lasting longer..(pause)
the more you go the easier it will be!
Look down until you feel comfortable
YRG Arlo when I first started the stair master I told myself I would go for 10 minutes with a 5 minute cool down. And I also was super tired and out of breath. So after every 5 minutes I would give myself a minute break, drink water and just breath. Now I go for 45 minutes, after 10 minutes take a minute break and drink. It gets a lot easier the more you go. I got five days a week. I Do the stair stepper 5 days. 3 days for 45 minutes, but 2 days only for 15 just to wake myself up and get ready for my workout.
Kenzie Anspach THANKS!
Watch movies
I started doing this.. I have a little flappy thighs.. does it tone the muscles or the leg looks bulkier? This makes me scared as I’m trying to lose weight please help♥️
yes i need help too as i have no experience with any of this
It is so hard I can barely make it to ten minutes slow speed I disappoint myself😓
it will get easier!
Stick with it. Play your favourite music too.
Thank you guys exercise is my routine now
I was like that before now I can do 40 min ,it keep u in great shape when u be persistent.
It’s a machine u grow with, people don’t become superstars in sports from playing the first time.
Subscribed cause of your personality and honesty :)
Sprint is a killer on it but great for cardio .
Everyone is an expert on UA-cam
My first was two days ago n only can do 11mins/ last night only 8 minutes
same lololol 🥺😅😂😂
Great Video 🥰 I have a love/hate relationship with the stair master. I have been on the stairs a little over 2 years now @ level 12...6 days a week. It’s worth the try 😉
That’s impressive (depending how long u do it and if u hold on the entire time)
@@coryjohnson2486 thanks… I’m on there for 35 minutes. No hands.
hi 1 question slow is better for muscle ❓❓
Great video, ur beautiful girl! Also, I love love LOVE the stair master!!!❤
Aren’t Flat shoes are the worst for flat feet ?
Conked out at level 17 increasing the level every 2 minutes, then I realized the tiny bit of weight I was removing by holding the handles and couldn't get passed level 15. I don't think I'll need the max speed of level 20/25
Do you have any recommendations for substitutes for the stair master? My gym doesn't have one, I guess I can just do squats
Just look for some long stairs outside somewhere and run up and down. Or - like me - live on the upper floor of a building and get a workout for free 😅
Put your treadmill on the highest incline and walk/sprint uphill 🙂
Real rap yo I sweat soo much more & afterwards feel good 😊 all ya tips was on point!!!
