This is the one year, 2020, where “Losing Weight” is not my New Years resolution. I started Ketogenic Diet (lifestyle) in April. I was 213 pounds. I’m over forty and thought I was never going to be a healthy weight again. I ended up losing 83 pounds in four months. The only exercise I did was walking and some light weights at home. I’ve been Keto for nine months and I’ve been maintaining my healthy lifestyle just fine and I’m currently 130 pounds. Moral of the story, you’ve got this! Get healthy, not just skinny.

I stepped on the scale on January 1, 2017 after avoiding it for so long because I could see the obvious weight gain and I was 299 pounds!!! I was horrified but sooo grateful that I didn't see a 3 at the beginning! THAT made me start my journey to become a healthier me because I refused to be 3 anything! January 1, 2020 I'm 205 pounds, my goal is 170. I have never been 170 in my adult life but I am up for the challenge! 2020 it's happening!!!

My wake up call was in June when I went to the doctor and not only was I at my highest weight of 243 but I also was in the pre diabetic range. That was a hell no for I'm not about to get diabetes for the love of sweets and over eating. So here I am on my fitness journey as well. For anyone on this same journey we can do it! This is so motivational! I would like to lose 30-40 lbs and get back to 150, a weight I was comfortable with and still had curves. But every time I think about going to the gym I take a depression nap instead 😢 My gym is opening a location closer to me soon so I wanna hit the ground running!
I need to lose the same amount of weight too and 140 to 150 was a good weight for me. I started just dancing to music I enjoyed at home for an hour, I few days a week. I am gonna add free weights. I eat pretty food already but gonna cut back on carbs.

I’m trying to get to 155. I was 183 which is the highest I’ve ever been in my life. Im use to being 135 after having children. Before kids my natural weight was 103. It is difficult when you work 12hr shifts and it takes a lot out of you. I'm in a catch 22 because I know the healthier I feel the better I can deal with a stressful job, it's just the journey getting there. You're video is very inspiring. I've actually already started my diet but it has been low carbs low sugar diet. I've lost almost 10 lbs without exercise for the least 2 weeks but now and I'm incorporating at least 15min of cardio on my elliptical and hand weights routine. I'm 5'7" wt was at 270, biggest I've ever been! Thank you for sharing your journey! I'll do more veggies and fruit!
I work 12 to 14 hour and thats my fasting time. I notice when I dont eat at work I have way more energy by the end of the day and I lose alot of weight while fasting. My first week I was down 15lbs from fasting itself. I drink water, coffee, and tea only while a work.
@@madeinvirginia3998 That's amazing! I drink a plain Soy latte in the morning, it's holds me over for a while but I would not be able to go without eating something at this job, I'll feel sluggish. @@EvaDWMediTele69 I have always struggled with my weight. But what really worked for me was eating 5 or 6 small meals a day, so around 1500 calories a day (1800 calories a day if I was working out). What Im about to try is not eating after 4pm. Im typically winding down my day by then and dont want anything heavy on my stomach anyway. Anyhow, I find this helpful and motivating when we all comment and encourage each other👏👏
I see you girl!! Congrats, I started my journey after my youngest son and was almost 200 pounds (I'm 5ft 5). I couldn't afford a gym membership nor the time so I purchased a stationary bike for $10 at a goodwill store. 30 minutes 3 days a week, and cutting fried and fast food took me from a 16 to a 12 in months. And my goal is to get down to a 10 or 8 by this summer. We got this girl!!💪
I’m so glad I heard so many people have been losing weight like this. I’ve lost 34 lbs in about two months and people started telling me I have cancer or some disease and I need to go get checked, it scared the crap outta me. I went from 3300 cals a day to 1200 overnight and ate nothing but high protein, no processed Whole Foods and veggies plus 120-170oz water a day. Never felt better. They had me so scared to gain weight I started eating crap again just to see I if the weight would come back. So so so many “health” sites tell you losing over 10ths a month is a problem and here I am like wtf I must be dying. Thank god many people have lost even more and they are good. Thanks!

I'm going to try to lose it and keep it off. I went from 199 down to 135, and now 4 years later back up to 195 (started at 203). By June I want to see 140, its a little over two months so I hope that helps me out. I have never felt so motivated in my life so I hope I succeed.

Girl you look amazing and I'm so happy that you are happy with your weight loss. My wake up call was in June when I went to the doctor and not only was I at my highest weight of 243 but I also was in the pre diabetic range. That was a hell no for I'm not about to get diabetes for the love of sweets and over eating. So here I am on my fitness journey as well. For anyone on this same journey we can do it! I’m in the same boat...at 237 lbs and prediabetic. I don’t want to develop diabetes but I am struggling getting my eating habits together. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week.
@@jenjimac4612 you've got this! It gets better, Just stay consistent and things will fall into place. I did Keto the first 5 months of my journey and then recently switched to a balanced healthy diet. I now also do weight training.

This is so motivational! I would like to lose 30-40 lbs and get back to 150, a weight I was comfortable with and still had curves. But every time I think about going to the gym I take a depression nap instead 😢
My gym is opening a location closer to me soon so I wanna hit the ground running!
I need to lose the same amount of weight too and 140 to 150 was a good weight for me. I started just dancing to music I enjoyed at home for an hour, I few days a week. I am gonna add free weights. I eat pretty food already but gonna cut back on carbs.

I’m trying to get to 155. I was 183 which is the highest I’ve ever been in my life. Im use to being 135 after having children. Before kids my natural weight was 103. So for someone who has been super skinny the bulk of my life, that 183 was a lot! Since ive been working out and changing my diet I’ve lost 9 pounds this month. So im 174

It is difficult when you work 12hr shifts and it takes a lot out of you. I'm in a catch 22 because I know the healthier I feel the better I can deal with a stressful job, it's just the journey getting there. You're video is very inspiring. I've actually already started my diet but it has been low carbs low sugar diet. I've lost almost 10 lbs without exercise for the least 2 weeks but now and I'm incorporating at least 15min of cardio on my elliptical and hand weights routine. I'm 5'7" wt was at 270, biggest I've ever been! Thank you for sharing your journey! I'll do more veggies and fruit!

I work 12 to 14 hour and thats my fasting time. I notice when I dont eat at work I have way more energy by the end of the day and I lose alot of weight while fasting. My first week I was down 15lbs from fasting itself. I drink water, coffee, and tea only while a work.
@@madeinvirginia3998 That's amazing! I drink a plain Soy latte in the morning, it's holds me over for a while but I would not be able to go without eating something at this job, I'll feel sluggish. I know people are starting a fasting diet and it has worked well for them as well. I wish you well on your weight loss! Keep up the good work!
@@EvaDWMediTele69 I have always struggled with my weight. But what really worked for me was eating 5 or 6 small meals a day, so around 1500 calories a day (1800 calories a day if I was working out). What Im about to try is not eating after 4pm. Im typically winding down my day by then and dont want anything heavy on my stomach anyway. Anyhow, I find this helpful and motivating when we all comment and encourage each other👏👏

I see you girl!! Congrats, I started my journey after my youngest son and was almost 200 pounds (I'm 5ft 5).
I couldn't afford a gym membership nor the time so I purchased a stationary bike for $10 at a goodwill store. 30 minutes 3 days a week, and cutting fried and fast food took me from a 16 to a 12 in months. And my goal is to get down to a 10 or 8 by this summer.

I’m so glad I heard so many people have been losing weight like this. I’ve lost 34 lbs in about two months and people started telling me I have cancer or some disease and I need to go get checked, it scared the crap outta me. I went from 3300 cals a day to 1200 overnight and ate nothing but high protein, no processed Whole Foods and veggies plus 120-170oz water a day. Never felt better. They had me so scared to gain weight I started eating crap again just to see I if the weight would come back. So so so many “health” sites tell you losing over 10ths a month is a problem and here I am like wtf I must be dying. Thank god many people have lost even more and they are good. Thanks!

I'm going to try to lose it and keep it off. I went from 199 down to 135, and now 4 years later back up to 195 (started at 203). By June I want to see 140, its a little over two months so I hope that helps me out. I have never felt so motivated in my life so I hope I succeed.
