i slept across Travis in prison for 9 months, he has a beautiful soul! the only reason he is and was in prison is bc of his drug addiction, he was nice and giving to every person he met. he took so much time to talk to me and he really showed me things that i never thought i could find myself. he is a deep and loving human being. i love you Travis, your friend and once fellow victim of society, Isaac Gabriel Kennedy.

This is the guy in the video shaving his head and trashing the hotel room. I've been travs best friend since we were 10 years old. Yeah he hit a rough patch but he never wanted to sound like AIC or any other band. He always wanted to do hid own thing with his own sound and he did not like being compared to other bands or singers. But his dad and other managers ripped him off for tons of money and he fell into a deep depression which of course brought about drugs. But travis does not have a big head or ego at least not anymore. He has humbled himself plenty over the years and is currently at rock bottom sitting in Prison up in Putnam correctional facility in Indiana. He has been clean for a while and if any non-hater true fans are on here know that travis has already wrote and recorded the Purple, blue and Gold albums, all which no one has heard yet but myself and very few others and they by far his best works. He is a real talent and wrote every lyric and note on all of his albums so next time some ignorant ass wants to bash him just remember, he had a million bucks when he was 16 years old just for making his own music and he sky rocketed to fame and fortune after that and was asked by the remaining members of The Doors to play two songs in LA back in 2000 Plus Velvet Revolver asked him to audition before they chose Scott Waylan -R. Taking guitar lessons from Todd Whitener was honestly one of the most memorable moments of my life. I explained to him that this album got me through some of my hardest moments in life. The gratitude he showed me for that was something I haven't seen in any other human. He taught me this entire album front to back. It's 2022. I'm 30. This song was very much part of my childhood thanks to my mother. Also my first concert with Creed. Here I am jamming this song on my acoustic guitar along with the music, smiling ear to ear, singing with my mother at our dining room table. I wish moments like this lasted forever. ❤️
I was working full time at toys R Us when I heard these guys, for a second I thought it was Eddie vedder or Chris Cornell, till I looked over at the tele, I'm like "these guys rock fuxing brilliant"👍🏻🎸💯. When mtv was good and music. Life was so good back then. I miss the 90s. 🙏🏻😕
Yes exactly. Since I am not Gen X and since I also didn't begin a metal journey until age 15, there are many bands who's history or non-musical signatures I didn't know until recently, so the reason I came to this song on UA-cam today, being a band that has a small catalog isn't mentioned much etc., I came to check whether this band was also Eddie Vedder, as he was apparently known for "being baritone", although you'd never know that by listening to Pearl Jam songs.
@@davedaring9823 right on mate 💯👍🏻🎸 to this day I always hear Eddie when Travis sings..lol.. I love this band still. I never got to see them. I wish I did. I did see stp and rhcp they were great.
Saw them open for Metallica at the Meadowlands stadium in New Jersey. I heard this song and it just stuck with me. I believe he was 17 at the time and kept thinking what the hell was going through this kids head playing in front of a packed football stadium. That is pure talent, I'd thought they'd be around a long time. Great song, it's on my Spotify liked songs, and when it comes on, the volume is on max.
I'm pretty sure this song is about standing up for yourself. Not beating women or children. "Once you touch me, I wont let it go", "Now I stand". Glad we cleared that up. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I have always loved this song. I was born in 1980 and always loved a lot of songs especially this one that I never want to stop hearing. Plus he's gorgeous and I would love to touch him all over until I feel his touch. So this one song I listened to for the rest of my life
You know it's legendary when this song has been on the radio my entire life. 2024 and I still seek it on UA-cam to blast. These dudes are pretty cool man.
I disagree, he had more of Layne Staley if anything. Cornell is much more of a technical power belter, Layne was the more low, growling, soul-filled downer rocker.
Sky Edge Really? To me it sounds like a cheap rip-off of an acoustic Alice In Chains, just another attempt to keep the grunge fire live, even though it died on April 5 1994.
Stumbled upon this by accident and realised I remember hearing this fucking years ago....... Wow..... Completely forgot this song. Amazed i found it now.
Anybody from Alabama, did not 1077 the x until the day they died played this song at least every other hour. When I think of 107.7 the x I think of this particular song who else
True story...as a former Jehovah's Witness ( I'll burn that shit to the ground now!), I remember just moving back to my home state of KY, down and out. Just lost a 3 month old son and left NY in a shitty, beat-up Ford truck with the flapping rear bed sides bungee-corded together to hold my belongings...rained all the way down. I heard this song on the radio and it blew me the fuck away! Who still plays acoustic guitar like that!?? and the lyrics are so goddamned real. I think I remember that Travis was recording somewhere in Louisville. I could be wrong...but man did his stuff touch me! There are only a few people in this life that can articulate and send across personal pain that resonates on so many levels. When Chris Cornell ended it, it almost sent me onto the same path. The sheer desperateness of it all made no sense to me. Travis is one of those rare few artists of whom I've collected. With that being said, I will say this about all of the shining ones until I die...no one will ever fully understand the Artist. Sometimes, self-destruction is only a Phoenix' way of rising from the ashes.
I was doing time in prison with Travis a few years ago. He's a good and humble dude. Quiet, kept to himself for the most part. He would play guitar for some of the inmates there during recreation. Sign autographs for the officers who would leave their assigned dorms to see him up close in person. Early every morning he'd be up watching us pray salat (muslim prayer). He told me that it felt good seeing us pray. I told him it'll feel even better when you participate and join us in the prayer. But he declined lol.
They were always one of my favorite groups. Others didn't seem to know or like them, but to me they were and are still ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS OF THEIR TIME.
I Think About The Silverchair Singer Who Was 14 When They Became Famous And Travis Was 16 To Me He Looks Like He Was In His 20's Amazing Singer Only Got Into Them In September But It Grew On Me In October I'm Experiencing Great Music That People Have Been Listening To For A Long Time!.
This reminds me of good times growing up. No internet no google we had digital pagers and pay phones. You could stay out all night and still be safe! You could ride in the back of pickup trucks and Beverly Hills 90210 was the hit show! The best days and by far the best music!
Grunge will not die as long as I’m around. This guy reminds me so much of brother who died from heroin. Looks weirdly like him. I empathize with the grungy angst these singers express. They express what I feel! In what I can’t put into words.
I've been repeatedly listening to this song for the past day and a half. I really don't know why I'm doing that. It's just so catchy and it sounds really good. And it's gonna be stuck in my head for a week or two
One of my favorite songs when I was a teenager. Make me go back to those days when you spent hours in front of the tv with the VCR remote ready to record the video from MTV. Lol
I have a signed CD from these guys. And the comment about this guy being such a nice person was my experience with them. I spoke them years ago on my space. They are so nice to their fans.
I jammed this tune the second a post on Facebook reminded me of this band & their legacy. They weren't around nearly long enough, and we were gifted with what they gave us musically. I can listen to their first LP cover to cover, and not many bands ever achieved that with me...... a few, at best.
he's doing well these days and laying low out west in Arizona. I hope this message finds you and finds you well. I will ride out to see my friend and I'm not letting any lockdown, flu virus, or anything else stop me. Travis is well and just enduring this strange as hell time as the rest of us. Of course he is doing it in his own way... lol The intervention episode was rough and the following years more rough and then rougher. Now, with a lot of trial and error, he's learning and loving himself again. Thanks for your concern and I miss just staying up all night listening to him jam out on the guitar and sing like nobody exists.. Some really awesome songs that nobody has ever heard. He's one of a kind, that fucker. But he knows it too. ha! Asshole! That's for you bro if you happen to see this message.. lol dick. 😩🤣😂

Now I stand and I peel for more
Won't you touch me/touch me
I won't let it go
Yes, I've finally found a reason
I won't need an excuse
I've got this time on my hands
You are the one to abuse
Yes, I've finally found a reason
I won't need an excuse
I've got this time on my hands
You are the one to abuse
The one to abuse
Yes, I've finally found a reason
I won't need an excuse
I've got this time on my hands
You are the one to abuse
Yes, I've finally found a reason
I won't need an excuse
I've got this time on my hands
You are the one to abuse
Yes, I've finally found a reason
I won't need an excuse
I've got this time on my hands
Oh, oh!
I've got this time on my hands
You are the one to abuse!
The one to abuse
Oh!
Days Of The New - Touch, Peel And Stand (1997)
these days of music, seems so far away now.. damn it!!!
Matt King Indeed 😭
It's 2022. I'm 30. This song was very much part of my childhood thanks to my mother. Also my first concert with Creed. Here I am jamming this song on my acoustic guitar along with the music, smiling ear to ear, singing with my mother at our dining room table. I wish moments like this lasted forever. ❤️
This came on the radio the other day and made me so happy. :)
Samita Sarkar when this song comes on, I think we all get a little angry inside too!
+Ryan Morrison someone has a problem
Dillon Dean Totally 😆
He sounds exactly like Lane Staley of Alice in chains. 100 percent
February 21, 2020 at 2:36 am after almost 15 years of searching I finally found this song. The funny thing is I wasn't even looking for this song.
Not many acoustic riffs like these anymore and it's missed. A BIG middle finger to all those who watch a video just to unlike it. Rock-On!
guy was only 18 when he did this!
Connor G nope he was 17
Connor G yeah... He was 17
sprdvx phew variables, autism, getting big at so young, drugs, family, etc caused Travis issues.
Connor G no he was 16
Being young w a bunch of sycophants handing you everything and crystal meth.
45yo and still one of my all time favorite bands from the 90's!!!!
69 years old and its 1997!
When this song comes on the radio you already know I'm speeding 😂
This still plays on the radio?
Thats my dads voice right there, every time i listen to this i think of him and my dads amazing voice. RIP buddy 12-18-2016
Your Dad is Travis? But he is alive.
Took me forever to find this song, I hadn't heard it in 15 years and couldn't remember the correct words. It just randomly popped in my head
WINNING!!!!!
I love that voice!
already like the tune!
Looks like we have a mutual interest in this band, lol. Good to see you again
Don’t look now but there’s a Pain Elemental right behind you 💀💀💀💀
KILLER BAND...WAS JAMMING WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT AND STILL DIG EM
I'm pretty sure this song is about standing up for yourself. Not beating women or children. "Once you touch me, I wont let it go", "Now I stand". Glad we cleared that up. Correct me if I'm wrong.
perfect song perfect arrangement perfect performance. nothing to possibly improve.
Hello Heidi, how are you doing
this was radio fill (?!) kill me now.....
If you’re watching in 2018, you still like music, and miss it.
Hello Trey, join 'Dancing With The Wind' page on Facebook. Spread the word!
Haven't heard this song in at least 5 years, had me singing every lyric within the first line. Classic 90s rock... gotta love it
I have always loved this song.
Travis had some of Chris Cornell. Good to listen to this song again.
Its his brother...
That was my first thought the first time I watched this. Looks so much like him (but he obviously isn't closely related).
A Adu I actually thought Chris Cornell was gonna start singing when I first heard this, it totally sounds like Soundgarden to me
I disagree, he had more of Layne Staley if anything.
Heard this song on Sirius XM. This is my man's music. I'm totally into R&B. But this song is Cool!😎
Who’s here in 2021?
I miss the 90s.
Makes me realize how old I am now....miss the old days ... struggling with aging...but still listen to good music is a big help....
They don't make music like this anymore.
Still listening to this in 2016.
OHHHHH
exactly
Thurman Merman.... Eugene? is this you?
Still listening in 2017 😏
classic song...i remember when first hearing this song how it reminded me of Alice in Chains unplugged...
Just discovered this band - I like this a lot! His voice reminds me of Layne Staley & Chris Cornell
And Scott Weiland as well.
Looking at Travis's life really hits home, my life has been alot like that. Praise GOD that it isn't like that no more!!! Keep your head up Travis
Was just gonna say 2020....2021 anyone?
Wow i miss this sound .. so different of you see nowdays
My god, Travis has such an amazing voice!
Stumbled upon this by accident and realised I remember hearing this fucking years ago....... Wow..... Completely forgot this song. Amazed i found it now.
Nobody cares when your listening to this, as long as you are listening..
Music that stands the test of time..This song is a classic So,many of the songs were..Rock On !!
I was 17 years old when I first hear this song, each time I listen to this song I get back in time to that moment in my life
Anybody from Alabama, did not 1077 the x until the day they died played this song at least every other hour. When I think of 107.7 the x
I think of this particular song who else
The last two decades make the 90's look like the golden years.
flying cigar Indeed!
Still one of my all-time favorite bands. I saw Travis on the show Intervention. I hear he has his shit together now ! Way to go man ! 🙏❤
He absolutely did recording in his place in Louisville! He had a studio in his house!
Days of the new are awesome band from 90's I got them on my iPod touch
I was doing time in prison with Travis a few years ago. He's a good and humble dude. Quiet, kept to himself for the most part. He would play guitar for some of the inmates there during recreation. Sign autographs for the officers who would leave their assigned dorms to see him up close in person. Early every morning he'd be up watching us pray salat (muslim prayer). He told me that it felt good seeing us pray. I told him it'll feel even better when you participate and join us in the prayer. But he declined lol.
Jail funny
I remember singing along to the "Ohhhhhh!" part when I was about 2 years old. It just totally cracked me up at the time, lol.
Same!
+Timothy_Terror Exactly the same?
Ralph Livingston precisely
Timothy_Terror That seems rather bizarre and convenient that you both did this...
Ralph Livingston the Force is a great thing
They were always one of my favorite groups. Others didn't seem to know or like them, but to me they were and are still ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS OF THEIR TIME.
this song is so slept on
If you take the first day of the 90s to the most current day of 2022, it's just shy of 33 years 😂
DAMN that's wild
I can't overstate how important this album was to me.
I got a bowl of Cheerios, I wont let them go. Don't you touch me, touch me... I wont let them go! Damn hippies!!
that's friggin funny
song randomly got stuck in my head the other day lol
I never get tired of this song...I just keep listening to it!
I was 17 when this album came out. Glory days.
I Love this band, my man Travis!!!
A reminder that at one point we were a soulful people with good tastes.
2023 and this song has less than 70k likes. Are you kidding me !
I miss the 90s
I Think About The Silverchair Singer Who Was 14 When They Became Famous And Travis Was 16 To Me He Looks Like He Was In His 20's Amazing Singer Only Got Into Them In September But It Grew On Me In October I'm Experiencing Great Music That People Have Been Listening To For A Long Time!.
Daniel Johns (Silverchair) is still beautiful to this day. God, I fucking love that man. 🖤
And it's gonna be stuck in my head for a week or two
My dad grew up with Travis and played basketball with him, crazy world we live in
That's so Cool. It's crazy, because my mum and father were both teachers and they had Travis in their classes respectively.
That is sooo cool! I heard one of his teachers was even mentioned on the album.
Where your dad from
One of my favorite songs when I was a teenager. Make me go back to those days when you spent hours in front of the tv with the VCR remote ready to record the video from MTV. Lol
I did the exact same thing. I only got most of it though lol. Fun days
Days of the new 2023🤘
I have a signed CD from these guys. And the comment about this guy being such a nice person was my experience with them. I spoke them years ago on my space. They are so nice to their fans.
Hello there, how are you doing and how is the weather with you
This is my Anthem wayback in '98..
Fell in love the minute i saw those baby blues.
Beautiful looking dude...his voice his talent..so unique..I love his beautiful music!!!!!!
Best Acoustic Rock Album I ever heard!!!!
There's a tiny bit of Soundgarden in the song and in the vocals and that makes it even better. Great song!
Until recently I thought it was sound garden. He even looks similar to chris.
@@DavidGilman-rc3bq Exactly.
I watched Travis' episode of intervention on tv the other day. You can just tell he's a musical genius!
I jammed this tune the second a post on Facebook reminded me of this band & their legacy. They weren't around nearly long enough, and we were gifted with what they gave us musically. I can listen to their first LP cover to cover, and not many bands ever achieved that with me...... a few, at best.
I LOVE THIS SONG !!! I CAN LISTEN TO IT ALL DAY EVERY DAY
I Need To Touch , Peel , Stand & Feel this Classic repeatedly !!
Billboards #1 Greatest of All Time Mainstream Rock Songs chart
I was able to see him play in 2005! One of the best shows I’ve ever been to! Travis’s well years. I wish him love and good vibes in his future!
Havnt heard this song in 10 years . Thank u radio !
I wonder how travis is now??? I just recently rewatched his intervention episode.
So talented. I hope he is ok
Me too! His friend wrote a comment 3 years ago saying he's been in jail and not doing well
he's doing well these days and laying low out west in Arizona. I hope this message finds you
and finds you well. I will ride out to see my friend and I'm not letting any lockdown, flu virus, or anything else stop me.
Travis is well and just enduring this strange as hell time as the rest of us. Of course he is doing it in his own way... lol
The intervention episode was rough and the following years more rough and then rougher. Now, with a lot of trial and error, he's learning and loving himself again. Thanks for your concern and I miss just staying up all night listening to him jam out on the guitar and sing like nobody exists.. Some really awesome songs that nobody has ever heard. He's one of a kind, that fucker. But he knows it too. ha! Asshole! That's for you bro if you happen to see this message.. lol
dick. 😩🤣😂
kitty mom jesus is that u in the pic lol
my grandpa is actually his sponsor! he’s coming down to utah to visit us today as far as i know he’s doing good
@@milk-qr4pk well I’m sitting in Perth Western Australia right now and I’m still listening to him and I think he’s a pretty talented guy. I wish him all the best xxx
I can tell that his best music starts on a Saturday night at the nearest gas station with a 24 pack of 🍺 🍻 🍺 beer
I saw the their first tour in Kansas City, Missouri i have liked them since. Great song and sound
