Great tutorial Tim, one of the best tools in LR that confuses new users is the histogram and also the highlight alert. My developed photos improved so much once I started paying attention to those tools.
I put some information on this in my February Newsletter - do you subscribe to that? I'm planning a comprehensive composition tutorial and it will be in that. Thanks
Where's the info on how to use the highlight alerts and histograms in the field? You're all over the place Tim, this is a Post Processing video and nothing to do with Metering. . .
Bruce Terrill the take home message is that using histograms im the field means you will likely over expose your shot. For high contrast birds, shoot at least 1 stop dark if using evaluate metering. Spot metering is ok if close enough to the bird and when your bird is unlikely to move.
Most excellent tutorial.
Thank you!

Thanks Jay!
Great video Tim , thank you!
Great information as usual Tim. Your first Peregrine image made me wonder about where best to place the horizon. How about a video on that?
