I'm a teacher at our Technical High School & I teach the metal shop classes and technical engineering classes & this was very interesting to watch & enjoyed it very much!!
I've been a metal shop teacher and technical engineering teacher since 1984 & this will be my last year of teaching both classes and my over the years I received many calls from my students that I have taught & their congratulating me for teaching them and 20 of my students went to Lehigh University and received their Technical Engineering and now work for several companies that need technical engineers and they have done well!!

Doctor, was this a push lawnmower?
How can you run this engine on it's side without affecting the engine lubrication?
Can you also explain how you attached the chain to the engine shaft, is there a clutch attached?

The motor was fine it just needs a new carb diaphragm since the Briggs carb are complete garbage. I usually tare the motor down and refine it then adapt an old tecumseh or kohler carb in place of that Briggs garbage. I sell em to a couple of guys that build racing mowers for their kids

Prilično lijepa kolica. Ipak bih pomaknuo osovinu što je više moguće unazad prije bojanja. Prelako se vrti na kotačima, a želite malo više stabilnosti. Iako izgleda stvarno zabavno ovako. Svaka čast!

I thought the purpose was to cut the lawn total waste of 20 min I built a go cart when I was 15 and it was better looking why put the mower parts on it you cut up a good go cart to start with if it wasn't going to be a mower.

Just keep an eye on the areas where you welded to the old deck for cracks. Those cheap mowers were cheap for a reason and the worst materials were part of it. More often they were made from the steel that didn't make the test for oil pans and such for cars. Don't want our new car with 15k miles having the pan split on a bend and go boom. Warranty time. So let's use the questionable steel for cheap mower decks instead.
Also have you noticed that oil pans and valve covers are stamped and not welded? That steel has to conform around compound curves. It is soft to do so but work hardens in the process to keep it's shape. That same alloy just doesn't take to welding well. It's going to crack out just outside of the weld. Beware.
I have repaired many mowers and decks from riders and these throw away push mowers aren't worth your time fixing. Better yet make a go cart out of it. You don't have that blade spinning to cause bodily harm this way.
The best use yet for one of these old mowers. It will probably do the go-kart way better than it ever mowed the grass.
