Isn't that an AIR COOLED engine? ... but it's not gonna get ANY AIR.... and the rear end/transmission getting air from the engine.. it's gonna be REALLY HOT AIR because the engine WILL run HOT..... - if it does run too hot, maybe you could put a FAN behind the seat (like the fan from a car radiator, that runs on an electric motor) and use some sheet metal to not separate it from the back of the seat AND channel the air to be drawn in from both side of the seat... and you might be able to channel some of the fan exhaust under the engine to the transmission.. 🤷♂ - - I'm only halfway into the video, where you mounted the gas tank with that big thick sheets that WILL channel all that heat RIGHT ONTO THE BOTTOM OF THE GAS TANK.... SO IDK if you changed anything, or kept the design like this... I'm not a mechanic, or an engineer, but I would think that the heat of the engine is gonna get trapped from those sheets and the gas tank, ESPECIALLY when it's not moving AND because it's probably not going to be moving very fast... but I could be totally wrong of course :/
You should REALLY sharpen the WHOLE LENGTH of you blade.... it's like trying to chop down a tree with a baseball bat instead of an axe.... you don't have to sharpen both side like you did with those tip pieces (which think could end up flying off after a while from the vibrations shaking the bolts enough to become loose, but PROBABLY NOT) but you NEED TO cut grass with a SHARP BLADE..... But if you SHARPEN BOTH SIDES of the blade, then you can just FLIP IT OVER when one side gets dull LOL ..... but you REALLY ought to make it into a proper blade :)
I'm from Malaysia, I've been watching a lot of fabricating works that related to engines, body works on cars/trucks but I've never seen such a professional modification on mowing machine. Keep it up bro. Awesome.
Beautiful work my polish friend. I am a retired mechanic that worked on all aspects of mechanical equipment but I wish I had your skill set. You create extraordinary pieces of equipment.
Retired machinist here, the thing that encourages me is,,, By building your own mower you have skipped all of the plastic and crappy design. I am encouraged!! Think that I might build one for me 😊 congrats on a job well done 👍
Love the "stitched" plasma lines to fold it easier! I think the shoulder in the center of the wheel hub to enter the rim is fondamental to avoid shearing the studs and keeping the wheel centered at all times without vibrations
Looks fantastic. My only suggestion would be to weld 45degree plates along the underneath folded edges (internal 90 degree bends) of the blade shroud to minimise debri build up. Keep up the videos I love em and they inspire me to work in my shed on weekends also.
When you’re making the next metal plate with many holes. Take a look at the guys installing tiles. They use a laser pointer. It’s a very simple way to get detailed marks. Well done, looks fun
Nuoooooooo pazzesco Belluz, quel trattore è rarissimo!!!
Love your shop. The tools are you. And together with your skill set, you are one creative man. Nothing like having the satisfaction of creativity of making you own equipment. Nicely done sir.
i noticed that as well. it wouldnt even have the need for pedals if the speeds were fixed like in a standard Husqvarna mower, but here it seems like you have to keep the hand on the lever all the time
I agree. He needs to put notches like he did for the deck height in that handheld speed controller 3 forward Like 2 For when not cutting grass in reversuch as slow and high speed😊
You should be proud of yourself! A couple of minor points. I can see that blade bar bending the first time you hit a half buried log or rock, and I think you will find the thing much easier to drive with the forward/ reverse control as a foot pedal, rather than a hand lever.
First off let me apologize for seeming greedy. Your video and builds from ground up are phenomenal! I wish they can be done faster but these builds take time. AWESOME VIDEO!!! KEEP IT UP!!!
Be sure that the "V" in the tread of the rear tires is pointed down when seen from behind, It is necessary for the self-clearing action of the tread can work. Ask a farmer. Tractors use the same tread pattern.
Awesome mower. Sounds and looks great. Only things I would change are I would put on a high lift mower blade and a roll bar maybe a seat belt for uneven terrain. A roll bar can save your life my friend. I personally would have it two feet taller than the rider/ yourself. I call it the non crush zone.
Just for fun I did some number crunching. 36 inch blade needs at least 5 HP. 6 or 7 HP to move it at a decent speed. So it's right in the sweet spot allowing it to mow at travel speed without breathing hard. Now to test the brush crushing. Next video. No doubt you'll be needing to do some more welding and beefing a few things up. For a prototype, that's a submission of an engineering degree final exam. Design, fabrication, utility and execution all covered. PS I can't get enough of that pneumatic hands free vice. Talk about a time saving frustration eliminator. And the miter gauge on the brake is the cat's meow.
Very impressive as usual! Only thing I'd suggest is some 10mm bar to reinforce the edges of the mowing deck - it doesn't take much of an impact to bend 2mm plate into the blade arc...

A very rugged build , a few suggestions? First, make two fillet plates and weld them in the inside angles on the front axle . Replace the front axle pivot bolt nut with a crown nut and cotter pin . Replace the doubled nuts with lock nuts . And make a full-length weld on both sides of the mower height adjustment selector plate
