The P90’s big mag doesn’t bother me at all, in my opinion they need to completely reconsider the balancing to extended mags because it’s stupid, makes no sense, and I don’t think it’d majorly hurt the game to make extendo’s actually viable on guns, at the most do a movement debuff but nothing more than like 5%, maybe an ads debuff, but the recoil addition is baffling
Extended mags should just have a longer reload time, like in every FPS game ever.

I feel like the MP5 is actually pretty balanced it is a great all rounder and doea not feel like a crutch weapon like the pre nerf vector.

Started using this gun during the Vector craze and I was very satisfied by its performance. It's a very nice balance between the SMGs; strong ranged performance found in the UMP45 and PP-19, and strong CQC performance found in the MP7 and Vector. This results in a jack-of-all-trades SMG that does very well at range thanks to its velocity while still slapping in CQC thanks to its firerate.
MP5's only clear downside is the reload speed, but it's not unique since MP7 has horrid reload speed as well. Both of these guns' reload issue is solved with Quick Mag, but MP5 has a clear advantage as its recoil is already non-existent so it can take URK without worrying unlike the MP7.
Vector being humbled really extenuated the MP5's strength, which has taken the SMG crown for the current meta. I'm a bit of a contrarian so I dropped it due to its new popularity, now I'm finding excessive performance and enjoyment in the Scorp EVO.
Also, I'm stating it again, but I see the clear quality improvements with your videos. Less errors, more visuals _(such as the shots-to-kill chart),_ extra stuff like meta standing comparisons / reasons; it all provides a better experience, great to see.

I just unlocked this gun today and im very impressed. The fact that this gun feels like the Ump-45 but shoots slower than the vector is amazing, the gun just feels perfect!
Love the MP5. Used it a ton when I unlocked it and put over 1000 kills on it very quickly, but I just keep going back to the PP19. Something about that blazing fast reload (fastest in the game?) and lazer beam recoil just make it super satisfying to play with. Almost at prestige tho so I’ll have to use the MP5 some more before I have to unlock it again. Great video
mp5 has been good, got almost 3k kills with it. I cant believe people are just now catching on.

Ahhh, now I recall the time I was also running the MP5 on Frugis, but with the G5 scope instead. It was so, so satisfying to flank on the rooftop and out-aim snipers from 100m+ ))
I feel like the PP19 and MP5 are equal, where the MP5 has slightly more dps and better ttk, but the pp19 has better recoil and way better reload (mp5's biggest weakness)
mp5 with urk grip and quick mag has a very decent reload. usually if you're using an SMG you're run-and-gunning, so just go prone and do a quick reload by holding R and then pick up your mag at the same time. It takes like 1.8 seconds.
MP5 is amazing but I like suppressors on my SMG's and the MP5 suppressed is still loud af. PP19 is pretty quiet. You can flank a group of targets and kill 3 or 4 of them with a suppressed PP19 before they even notice you because it's so quiet. Lately though I love the ACR with the short suppressor, 35 round quick mag, and vert grip. It feels so good to use after the buff.
I've been enjoying the MP5 since before the vector got nerfed (it has lower recoil for some reason). Now thanks to this video people will want this to get nerfed too.

Mp5 is THE all rounder smg. Great gun and my current most used as it carried me through the middle levels. I'm finding I prefer guns with more distinct niches now such as super fast ttk (fal, vektor) or huge mags (p90, m249), and when I do go for an all rounder the m4 with heavy barrel really is a work horse.
I'm on the scorpion train still. MP5 is consistent like the P90 but has a smaller mag. P90 chugs along at a reasonable TTK and low recoil. Scorpion is a fire hose that is out of control but insta kills anything on the screen within 10 meters.
I'm switching back and forth the MP7 and MP5. Both are extremely satisfying when using on close range. I notice I run the MP7 more aggressive than the MP5 while I use MP5 more on map with open objective, simply it is so low recoil and hitting mid-range target is more manageable. The P90 is undoubtedly my favorite, massive ammo to spend when running into big group of players. I just prestige recently so may take some times to unlock it again so the MP5 is now my most used weapon, could potentially replace the P90 if I could manage ammo better.

The ak5c is probably top 3 gun imo it has low recoil and it’s headshot damage is INSANE. mp5 is up there too it destroys close to mid range

Man the gun slaps, figuratively and literally. Low recoil, high rate of fire, high damage for an smg. Put a long suppressor on it, and flank. Put a laser on it, don't bother ADS in buildings. You can clear entire rooms before they even know you're there. The hold reload negates slow reload in situations that matter, ie cqb. Korbra sights 4 life. #bf3throwback

After using support as main for like 90 hours, just picked this MP5 for a couple rounds. Its so broken and easy to use that feels boring and dull. I feelt not challenged on shooting with it. I haven't tried P90 yet.

The mp5/P90 were fing destroying me no matter what range the guys caught me at. I swear one double tapped me from behind full health faster than I could turn around.
my kd is finally recovering from 0.50 thanks to this gun, its very fun
also the short magazine is underrated imo
feel like the ump should do a little more damage
P90 for maps with close combat and Mp5 for maps where you need that extra range.
You must have the RELOAD time at the top of your mind- get ready to drop a mag if ur under pressure.
Dw I drop mags pretty much everytime, the only reason I brought it up alot is because it doesn't have many other downsides to mention
I'm close to 3000 kills with the MP5 and nothing else has even come close for me in terms of controllability for my playstyle. Combined with the lack of a movement speed penalty I just find myself getting into advantageous positions far more often than with other guns in the tier list.

Mp5 needs better aim than vector, because it exactly shoots where you point it :D. Vector killed in a wider circle around the crosshair.

With honorable mention to scorpion Evo for tying with scar-h/famas/pp2000, and groza for being 12th and being the last gun with a ttk that's always faster than 0.4 seconds
These rankings were developed by figuring out the time to kill for all armor types at extreme close quarters, and then ranking the guns. The closer to the best the more points the guns get, and then adding those points up at a one-to-one ratio.
Please note I only did top 10, otherwise this list would be huge. Just because a gun is slightly higher lower in the ranking doesn't necessarily mean that the gun is particularly worse, just that the difference in time to kill against a specific armor type might be a single bullet better or worse versus a specific Armor type. All these guns still kill within 0.4 seconds. Pick what you like
It's a little interesting that the MP7 is higher on the list versus the mp5, but I run out of ammo with it so much so I prefer the MP5
Same with the honey badger/as val. I know those two guns shred but the MP5 just goes further.
Obviously no smg on support but the l86a1 should be your go to gun with it

I love the MP5 and probably have my most kills with this weapon. Absolute laser!
Whilst it’s not really a complaint as such, I don’t think the devs have found the balance between SMG’s and AR’s, particularly at medium (almost long?) range. I feel like the MP5 beats a bunch of AR’s at medium range engagements where I think the AR’s should dominate. Any thoughts on that?
I agree I think rn ARs are outclassed by SMGs by alot
After I prestiged recently for the first time I’m going for 500 kills on all weapons and using the mp7 for the first time since I didn’t use it the entire first prestige I perform soo much better with the mp7 then mp5 I just don’t like the long reload I think.
Also I noticed in this video you like never fast reload with the mp5 is it not worth it to?
Nah it is worth it I think that I just happened to not have a single good position very often
So the deagle slows down your movement even when holstered?
The mp5 hasn't been performing that well for me, sure it melts players quickly enough but it seems to be the only gun so far where i have trouble keeping track of how many bullets are left in the mag, leading me to often run out of ammo mid spray and dying for it. Maybe i need to give it another try, though the groza has been a really solid performer for me.

@@tonomrwong The deagle has a walking speed of 1 and all the other secondaries a speed of 1.10, so i think it's probably more accurate to say anyone without a deagle is running 10% too fast. XD
what keys do you use for leaning?
I use Q and E on toggle
its like mw2, all the guns are op in the right scenario, aka balanced, with a few exceptions of some bad guns
I see you there is no recoil, I made the same build and the recoil still is big
If the recoil is too much I highly recommend the PP-19
while the mp5 is nice, Ive yet to hold something so reliable as the pp19
