The Vector got nerfed in update 2.0.0 for battlebit. Some people think it's bad now. It's not.

it went from long range sniper smg to just smg. still strong af point blank (as all smgs should be) but mostly useless at long distance.
And i think thats the idea
I mean, its a compact SMG with a whole 1200RPM, so yeah, its still the absolute, undeniable champion of close range. Only difference now is you actually have a chance against it at any other range

It was definitely the perfect nerf: Kept it's strengths but toned down the bullshit. That's the kind of nerf everyone really wants instead of the usual "Let's completely knee cap this weapon and make it completely unusable."

If it makes people feel any better, they are doing more Weapon Balance changes NEXT update (whenever that drops) Including but not limited too nerfing more SMGs Damage Drop off from 50 meters to 30 meters.
This tells me they went "Oh.....we game them too much range", which i totally agree with. My longest range kill on the MP7 and UMP 45 is like 70 or 90 meters. which for an SMG is pretty impressive and is probably about as far as it SHOULD be. any longer then that and a AR should be out preforming you on damage drop off alone, let alone other factors.
All of mine are at 103m exactly. Even the Scorpion Evo.

I didn't get the Vector until post nerf. I FUCKING LOVE THE VECTOR!!! And ever since I finally got the Osprey suppressor I've really gotten into ambushes and preemptive attacks. I still manage to get midrange kills with burst fire and I'm surprised every time I get them. But the one thing that remains consistent is: If I can't stay on target I lose the engagement even if I get the drop on my enemies (yes, plural, I have taken out 3 players in one go multiple times and other times the last one gets me because my aim was off).

The general idea in all FPS games is that each weapon class plays a specific role in the game. There's always going to be a need for buffs/nerfs, but it sounds like the Vector is not in the proper role bracket. Now if we could get some love for a few pistols and the DMRs...

As someone who has Vector as one of my highest kill weapons, I would say that it is balanced now. People only still complain about it because sweats are generally in cqc, and the vector is made for cqc.

I only just unlocked the Vector yesterday, and I absolutely love it! I don't know what the people are talking about when they say it's been nerfed too hard. It excels exactly where it should. I like playing shotguns in other games, but BattleBit doesn't have them, although playing the vector feels very similar in playstyle.
I do still feel that the vector is pretty good, i unlocked it post patch and it was the quickest weapon i was able to get attachments and unlocks not to mention killstreaks

Now its the mp5. I got sniped by it across the map and i was shooting at the guy with a SAW. Why is the SAW so weak?
Just the SMG and PDW in general lol, the vector nerf is just a bandage on the wound that is SMGs. Its funny how the devs are anti shotgun but they got SMGs instead, they should just really refine the armor system so ARs have some leg to stand on
I bet I'd get some fun outta the Vector as in Planetside I love screaming around battles carbine in hand locking down areas(Mostly roofs) I reasonably shouldn't be able to due to the enemy count on the roof

i never found it to be strong, pp19 and the mp5 felt way stronger but thats just me
They nerfed it's mid and long range capability, while almost completely retaining it's cqc dominance, which is what pretty much what most people wanted from the vector nerfs. So good job devs~

Just wait few more weeks. Eventually, ex-Vector mains would unlock FAL... And it's as broken as Vector before, if not even more because of the sweet 3 shot armor STK with LB...
The FAL is insane yeah but it ate the recoil the vector wasn't using and comes with 20-round mags stock, it's even more of a close-range shredder that can moonlight as a DMR if you're in a pinch but it's nowhere near as busted as the Vector once was
@@ItsBasil Remember that FAL features nearly half the fire rate compared to Vector, so 20-round mag is roughly equivalent to 35 rounds for Vector, continuous fire time compared. Same with recoil, halving the fire rate equals halving the real recoil (as it is displayed per shot fired, not per second).
So, when you compare the numbers and stack on top the fact that it is available for Assault, i.e. ammo is not a problem... Even more broken IMHO.

Easy to see why, it's a fairly unique, modern-looking gun that gets most of its IRL success from being licensed out to games and movies because hough shit look at that SPACE GUN
I like it in games that actually do it justice, but otherwise I agree that there's way more interesting SMG options out there that don't get used enough
Also why do all thw people that play barotrauma will use the dugong instead of the barsuk. Like the barsuk is better in every wayyy
