Rolex introduced the Skydweller line in 2012-fairly recently. Seems like nobody is talking about the problem with the new 32xx movement which seems to lose amplitude and running out of spec (slower).

You’re right, people that complain about thee excessive size of the catalog in brands other than Rolex don’t know all the date just and ladies catalog. They only focus on the small part of the catalog that can be flipped for money. They’re not watch enthusiasts they’re speculators.
The most accurate description of Rolex I’ve heard is that they’re “Lazy with an overwhelming sense of entitlement”. Don’t get me wrong, I like the brand and I own one but they rarely give the enthusiasts what they want because they don’t have to.

Interesting video, thanks Pete for the valuable insights. There are talks in the street that rolex is gonna reduce their production volumes. Also it seems they are trying to increase their average price per unit sold. That is why they are introducing less steel and more PM models.
Rolex is still copying Invicta’s homework (great line Pete!) with the solid gold (apart from the case back 🤷🏻) DeepSea, or DeeplyOstentatious as I like to call it. Just goes to prove that money can’t buy good taste, but then why should Rolex care as long as they can sell them. The 1908 line isn’t really new - it a revamped, renamed Cellini line. The guilloche dial is machine made as it turns out (and a bit OTT looks-wise IMHO). Platinum is only £19 a gram ATM, with no complications whatsoever, so hardly explains the warm SRP.

I'm extremely bored with this brand, but they don't need to do too much to stay the trend setters, leading people on and creating huge demand.....I will personally not be trying to get a Rolex these days but I'm sure there are many out there who will remain desperate
I sold my 3 Rolexes. But I enjoy playing the Rolex prediction game. I was very accurate this year, and left my predictions on numerous teaser content before the announcements. BUT your videos lack a direction. Get an INDEPENDENT editor.
