- Ernest descended from the legendary hero, Davy Worrell, who shows his courage in this comedy short.
Surrounded by indians in a fort in the woods, a small group of men (all played by Jim Varney) have to fend off the oncoming attack.
This film shows Varney's versatility as a comedic actor, with a couple dead-on impersonations you will recognize, including the Duke, John Wayne! - Комедії
"It's a bloody-rotten war...but it's the only one we've got."
An incredibly talented and versatile actor...the most characters acted by one person in any skit I've ever seen.
😊😊
This is one of the most brilliant bits. He plays the entire cast.
Gotta love the old family album of Corporal Davy Worrell and his good ol, clean and spit shined converse shoes.
"He chewed through the wall. The nightmare has begun"=Fatality
Luke's Escaped....He chewed thru the walls the nighmare has begun!
I think Jim Varney was very underrated as an actor. Not many people can be their own cast. And he may be gone from this earth but he is indeed in a better place and his commercials and movies live on with videos such as this one. Thank you for posting.
ONLY THE BEST, from a great entertainer!
Jim Varney was amazing, such talent. R.I.P.
i love this one.just got the dvd last winter.thank you corporal davy for saving our country way back when. had it not been for you, where would we be today?earnest lives on forever
"Have you ever seen winter butter?"
Priceless.
I think this was filmed at Fort Loudon near Knoxville.
I'm still wondering about that free gift.
Jim was the best that was spot on impressions of john Wayne and Walter Brennan loved it I have the book "The importance of being Earnest" by Justin Lloyd it is a good read RIP Mr. Varney

We don't want no free gift!
Genius. How far he carries out out.
🤘
"golly bob howdy!"
1:44 slinky dog from toy story's saying :]
man jim verny was so amazing
Jim Varney was so talented. I wonder how many movies he was in, including voice work in animated films.
could we have a version without parts taken out? I remember distinctly, more diologue while they were on the wall, and from Cookie, from the VHS version
Truth be told what's here is the bulk of the joke and serves it well. We really don't need to see anymore of the cook.
Love it!!!!!!
Davy Worrell is wearing converse. lol
I've lived by the fort where they filmed this my whole life and I never knew that they actually filmed it here in Fairmont, WV.
Is Corporal Davy wearing Sneakers? lol
he's great in this piece of that show "my family album" -- shows his talent, it really does... :)
Every God-Dang one of ya
it was actually GALLL Dang. Not the other. That was cussin' words you used, and it was what an old actor was known for saying in oldie movies. WHICH were sensored heavily.. They would not allow that to be said back then.
Legend
Damn it i want the free gift!
I like how he's wearing Chuck Taylor's.
The Ole’ Converse. Go Faster’s to fight Chief Running Vern

"Open gate, paleface...get free gift!"
Neeeeeiiiiiiiin!
Damn....he was GOOD!!! We really lost a great guy when he died. I think I would rather have a zombified Jim Varney than a living Snooki...FML.
Oh sorry, sir. It's just bein' around all this ammo has got Luke and the boys a little over stimulated. (Hears BLABABARAAAGHBLABLABARRGH!! from inside)
I wonder if Luke is Ernest's version of sasquatch?
AWESOME VIDEO ❤❤❤❤

Sporting them converse
Even had the distinctive slap, slap, slap sound when he ran!

Don't be crazy, old man. It's a trick!
all ur imaginry friends will aways be with u. lol
@alchron Heathen, not human
Luke FTW!!!!
know what I mean
This was the censored version. The original had a few references that were later deemed inappropriate and insensitive to Native Americans (but still hilarious).
Louie Neira You mean where they raised the flag with the Native American chief profile with the red circle and slash/universal “no” symbol over it? Yeah, I noticed that was missing.
We were harder to offend back then.
Luke has escaped! The nightmare has begun!
I got women folk from the settlement
@alchron It's ok. :P
