I never watched the original series but I have been watching the reboot, and yeah so far its a lot of fun. However when the reboot was annocend I was dreading it because I knew articles like this would pop up

Their was a popular Anime called Fruit Basket in which a certain family had members that would turn into Chinese zodiac animals if they got too close to the opposite gender. By these peoples crazy logic they'd say Fruit Basket was meant to make people into furryies or into bestiality or promote homosexuality. For the record Fruit Basket was an amazing deep and dramatic series and should never be spoken bad of EVER!

The leaps these nuts go to sometimes is insane. Heck from a certain point of view wouldn't Ranma 1/2 be against trans? Think about Ranma didn't ask to be able to switch genders it was forced upon him This remined me of Galaxy DC trans hero. Her origins are she's a purple skinned alien princess who's planet was under attack and she fled and disguised herself as human. Thing is her human disguise her as a human male and she grows up on earth as a boy till she sheds her disguises and lives her life as a purple skinned alien girl. Galaxy is supposed to be a Tran's icon but if anything its anti trans! Galaxy was born female but forced to be male, if anything this is against parents gender changing their kids! Also when Galaxy goes back to being an alien girl they make a big deal of her being outcast to represent kids who transition but its more over the fact that she's a purple skinned alien and not a human rather than what gender she is.

Ok so uuu… no. Ranma will not turn everyone trans. No one is claiming this… But for people who are trans but haven’t realize that for themself, the original anime did this for many people. They aren’t basing this on nothing. It already happened with the original so they’re saying it could happen again. That said… claiming it’s a trans allegory is possibly silly. I can imagine the creator never intended for this because it’s not really made to be supportive of being trans. Also, an egg is someone who’s trans but hasn’t realized it yet… They don’t have to be a tomboy or a femboy. Femboys and Tomboys are welcome to be this if that’s what’s true to them.

Now you stated that you watched Ranma 1/2 when you were younger and you liked it but it also made you curious as to the way Ranma switched genders, which is fine everyone wondered about it the same way everyone wondered how monkeys from space in Dragonball Z could be so jacked but it's fiction and that is truth of the matter. Nothing about Ranma 1/2 could ever be classified as transgender, because 1) Ranma never had a choice in how he ended up switching genders from a curse and 2) He continuously stated how much he disliked turning into a girl and constantly wanted to find a way to break the curse Finally however you choose to live your life is your own business but nothing about Ranma 1/2 could ever be classified as trans or non-binary it's just a fictional comedic anime and nothing more
