Apart from mentioned brands, any other you do like to wear.?
I’m an ex motorcycle paramedic, these helmets are a must, they are so much easier to take off in an emergency.
I have heard this many times 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Actually, modular helmets have one advantage in being quiet. The collar can be much tighter. You could never get either one of those in your head closed. A full face needs to be looser downstairs for the head to pass through, and that leaves more room for noise from below. These Schuberts are among the quietest helmets out there, despite being modular.
I was looking at full face helmets but my uncle who is a fire fighter and has been riding with modular helmets since day one recommended modular helmets. He pointed out with full face helmets, it is more likely in an accident that EMS causes a neck or head injury while they are trying to get the helmet off of you. He said thats why he prefers modulars and I never thought about that possibility so now I am looking at these lol
Hmmm. That is interesting point!!! Thanx
good review, well done! I love the Schuberth C4 Pro
thank you, M.
You have to tilt your head way back to see if you ride anything like a K1300S. Youll be looking through the visor above the anti-fog liner FFS!
Vent slider broke off almost immediately.
Poor ventillation. I cut those stupid liner tongues off.
The Cardo comms poisitively suck.
After 2years with this helmet C4Pro i have to say, that it was tiny step ahead in comfort and big step backwards in quality. Still one of tge best modular helmets on the market.. but,,,, :(((
I've had the C3 Pro for a few weeks now and love it. It's nice spring weather, but when the visor is locked and I have my neck gaitor over my mouth, the anti-fog insert...fogs up. Pretty disappointing. Any ideas to improve this issue? I've seen elsewhere that this is an issue....
Hmmmm, really? Jeeez i wish i could help but i was using the antifog system and it always worked. Same on C4, but true is that i dont use nothing to cover my mouth. Just a question, but you are not cleaning the antifog system, right? You have never touched it with napkin or any fabrics, right?
@@MartinTheVlogger I've had a Pinlock in my previous helmet and had removed it/reinstalled it. Worked perfectly. This one came pre-installed on the visor. The whole thing mists up when I breathe!! Maybe I could try not breathing lol!! Think I've just got a dud. It's an issue from other comments I've found along the way unfortunately.
@@The63chicky yup, not breathing is def. A solution 😆😆😆😆 but C4 after 2full years... i dont know... its more louder with my bike setup - naked bike, its was already 2times at warranty service, and still leaks a tiny air thru somewhere and it pisses me off 🙈🙈🙈
@@MartinTheVlogger haha...oh wow, back 2 times? Not good. I guess with the amount they make, some are going to give issues. I'm just glad I got it at half the price on FC-Moto, than it is in NZ. Definitely a win, but not so much with the anti-fog that actually fogs bit hahaha.
@@The63chicky half a price half a view 😆😆😆🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ let me know when ya will find the solution... and enjoy your riding season.. ya lucky one from down there :))))
My dad have an 8 year old Schuberth c3 and its just like a new one ofc with scratches here and there but i really looked foward to see if the c4 pro is worth it and then i might buy him it but want him to try it out some where in my country first because he is riding so much :) and he loves the Neon yellow ones because they are so visible in the trafic :)
and i really love the fact with the schuberth flip up series its good if you have glasses then its easy to put on and off and yeah i buyed a "Used" Schuberth c3 that was about 2-3 years old but only used for like a few times for like nothing so it was worth it is just like a new schuberth for like 15% of the full price so yeah i dont mind it :)
i think you will like it as your dad. I have only one trouble with Neon yellow, actually 2 and honestly I wgot rid of it. 1st - when I was parked somewhere near "nature" all flies and bees, tough I am one giant flower that they need to give a visit :) 2nd - its get dirty and all the small pieces get into the colour and it is not so "neonish"anymore.
I love the flip patent as well. Its easy to put it and yeas i can imagine with glasses it is even better for you.
@@MartinTheVlogger as i told his is about 8 years and yeah they get atracted to the yellow but just clean it and it looks like new agian :)
@@kelly4593 The impact absorbing material in the helmet is probably not very effective after eight years. Helmets age. He may want to think about a new helmet.
what do i need to listen to music with either
You need to buy comunicator. Than all its needed its to pair it to your phone or navigation system, if it supports music player. Its done via bluetooth
hi Martin! What's the sizing difference between c4 pro and c3 pro?
Hi buddy, i think i have same size C3Pro and C4Pro. But to be absolutelly sure, check their size chart and measute your head.that is how i did it
C3 pro no comment
Martín have you tried the shark evo gt?
Not yet, but i am waiting for C5 pro if it will show up
Is there a difference in outer shell size?
The C4 looks smaller
Hi buddy. I have never noticed this thing. I will check for you in the evening,,,,
@@MartinTheVlogger Just so you know, don't say to a grown up "Hi buddy", that is really used more when talking to a child.
@@juzubumi thanx Dan.. i sonetimes i talk to so many ppl that is easier to use something general. In few regions of the world buddy is also used for adults ppl but i understand that in otger parts it is more abput kids. What would you suggest yo use as a general phrase?
Did you buy the C4 Pro the same size as C3 Pro?
Hi Krish. Yes i did
Pretty good review and your English was also pretty decent. Unfortunately I CANNOT recommend Champion Helmets for us people in the USA. If your helmet requires warranty work you will need to ship to them in the Netherlands, this is NOT cost effective for USA customers. Lastly, they take forever to answer an email, again not good for USA customers.
Hmmm, I understand the shipping point, but what I am surprised is the reply to your questions. With me it was always in few hours a reply to my mail, and this is what I consider here in CEE as a good job. Hmm, very nice to hear other opinion, thanx a lot. martin
MartinTheVlogger yes, unfortunately my first few emails were answered quickly then as things got a bit hairy, either they didn’t answer right away hoping I would drop things or they got very busy? If you’re near them maybe that’s better for you or others but for us here, it’s not good customer service. Lastly, the helmets they sell are not US DOT certified, not good. We get summons or tickets here by cops if the helmet is not DOT certified.
@@luvmybeemer again i am sorry to hear that. I only promote, or give honest reviews to products and brands i personally believe in. So hope this is only one bad example. What i am.interested in is the DOT certification. Hope the C4 has it coz i want to do US rYding with the Beast sooner or later... hmmmm...
MartinTheVlogger if you buy a Schuberth in Europe it will NOT have a DOT rating sticker on the back. If you want to bring your helmet to the USA and get stopped at one of our motorcycle checkpoints, they will issue you a citation for improper equipment. This was the main reason I returned my helmet to Champion which btw, did have a GREAT price but again, warranty work means we have to ship back because NO dealer here will step in and help with a non DOT helmet and quite honestly why should they? So if I were you see if you can buy those little DOT stickers and place it on the back of your helmet when you come. I just didn’t want to do that with a brand new helmet.
@@luvmybeemer thanx man. Big thanx for info. You did save me potentially not wanted trouble.thanx a lot 😉, have an awesome day. Martin
I've learned this is the quietest helmet out there
Yes, its true, buuuuuut, it also all depends on setup of your bike. For example for me C3 pro is less noisy then C4Pro... for whatever reason but c4pro dont like naked bikes probably....
Buys brand for build quality.... Talks about how vent buttons fall off. Yep that's quality.
all modular helmets before C4 were great and top in the league. C4 "basic" had few issueas and that was the reason i did not buy it. C4Pro is back in the game and it equals to Schuberth quality.
I recently bought the carbon version.
I have never bought a premium helmet before.
This is perfect, especially in winter
Let me know how is the Carbone one. Recently i have faced the bloody issue with the ventylation "button" .it does not want to pop up. Agrrr.
C3 Pro is the Best
🤟🤟🤟🤟
modulars will never be as safe as full face
That is correct
Tumbled down a hill at 60mph with a $200 Bell Modular. I survived and the helmet didn't fall off. Only the visor and chin vent were gone.
I came off at 80kph on a gravel road in the outback. Los of scratches and gouges but the C3Pro was fine. Nothing even came off i and I rode another 230km (a bit one armed though).
doesn't seem a very experienced review tbh....you start by saying that modular helmets have no disadvantages, and then you mention the weight. Everyone knows modular are heavier and make more noise in general...
you also say we should change helmet every 2/3 years? There's a reason why we can change the interiors...why would anyone throw a perfect state helmet to garbage after 2 years?
everyone wants to be an youtuber ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if you are not an expert maybe you shouldn't do a product review as you'll be influencing people wrongly (or do some research)
Hmm you are right. I am just saying what i think, and you would do it probable much diffferent way. Hope this "review" gives some ppl. Some value that thay can use. I change helmets every 2-3years coz i ride a lot. 🤷♂️
Modulars are known to be quieter because they have more sound insulation at the bottom. You can't put a lot of these helmets on when they're closed because of the sound insulation
Garbage helmets.....period
Hmmm... can you share more, why you have this opinion?
Exactly,expand please
you obviously never owned a c3 ..
general MrPatton
Actually owned a C7
Whats your menstrual cycle, got to do with a helmet, thats personal to you.
