Whoever own the locker 10000% took all the rarer cards. The ones he left he knew were all the base or none expensive rarer ones. Just can tell if thsoe were the “rarest cards” you graded then he took all the good ones sadly. With how many cards were total there would of been some really good ones. Still got really lucky with the base cards u broke even
I like the set of videos that you came out on this. I like that it had someone from the outside yourself work with someone from the inside the hobby with knowledge. To me that’s what makes this cool to watch. I really like it. Good stuff

Now the cheapest PSA grading is 150 a card. I sent in a Josh Allen Rookie Auto /25
Would have been nice to see your actual numbers. With grading costs you had almost another $2000. Would have been interesting to see the time you spent as well. There were multiple people helping you sort so by pure man hours there’s no way this was a good buy. Obviously that wasn’t your goal but if anyone without a channel bought this and graded those cards it would be considered a huge loss from a business perspective.
Definitely like that you caution others who may be thinking about jumping in like this.
I like the "don't try this at home" warning... Yeah it can be rewarding but cost to get them Graded + the cost to Obtain them + the cost for travel all goes into the bottom line.. Break even or even profit a few bucks isn't really rewarding... but getting 10k views is...

Right? I’m guessing they connected more to cross promote YT channels. I’ve never submitted cards for grading but how does a base 90s rc get submitted as a 6 or 7 if you have any experience?

Great video. So many people think they can make money in cards and learn the hard way that it’s not that easy. It requires a ton of expertise, work, patience and money.

He said $50 per so that puts him at $1867 before shipping and insurance. Plus he had a guy come in and do hours of work. Then had a few guys do even more hours pairing the collection down initially.
I’m confused as to how cards that graded 6s and 7s even got into the stack to submit. I counted about 20 cards that were valued $50 or less.

I got a family member with a Wayne Gretzky rookie card. Red spot on the jersey shoulder, and a line in the back of the card. Pretty sure the kine is first print? Anyways, wanna help us grade it? Lol
I grew up in Burbank and used to go there like every single day as a kid. Good times there. I still have all the cards I bought there as a kid in boxes in my garage. I should probably go through those at some point ha

I bought soooooo many of those Topps basketball packs looking for that Shaquille O'Neal gold but never got it.
Now is not the time to grade cards. How they grade them is completely subjective so when they have a high demand grades will on average, decrease. Gotta send in cards when demand is low.

Friends & Fam pinging me for opinions, too, these days. Was going through a friend of my brothers' cards, and he had a "box of commons" he was about to let our 3 year old nephew play with. I found a loose 1996 Kobe Topps RC in the box. Dead centered. Gem mint condition. I donated a one-touch to his cause. :)
wasn't gem mint, hate how people toss that out. and a one-touch is a terrible decision for protection as it has potential to mess up the surface and edges. you have to go sleeve and top loader or card saver.

Dude WHY did you submit these cards to PSA? There's nothing here of legitimate value and you probably paid a premium to submit them given the date on the video. A KG Topps 6 is like a $2 card. And then you brought in an "expert" but the guy was quoting ridiculous prices in the storage unit as he was looking up ebay info. The Topps KG sold for $500 in a PSA 9? Naw, not even 1/10 of that in the peak of the boom.
