Hey Dan, just so you know, the cold storage wallets use common encryption algos for the private keys, so your bomb is not lost! You just need to connect your wallet to an interface that does support NFTs. I'd link a tutorial here, but I'd get moderated. Best of luck to ya!
Edit: I Thought I'd spread the crypto love in the comments some more. Basically, the way the wallets work is they encrypt your private keys and provide a software interface to the blockchain. They're nothing more than some storage and a processor on a chip. Your NFTs and other assets are not "In" the wallet. That wallet can be completely destroyed, but your assets would still be recoverable. That is why that metal plate you got for your keyphrase is as robust as it is... it's the most important piece! You need to find a wallet that supports both NFTs and the same private key derivation algorithm that Ledger uses, and you're good to go!

You can connect your ledger with metamask and then you can connect your new wallet with opensea
HELP IS HERE: you can make a new opensea account with that address and transfer the NFT back to your real account.... hope this helps.

It is a crap idea where someone takes someone else's digital intelectual property (like an image), uses it to generate a block chain, and makes it a NFT.

I definitely wouldn't ever use a VPN. They need to be illegal and, hopefully sooner than later, be phased out of existence. Other than hiding in another country, any other abilities are either already more reasonably available elsewhere or need to be more reasonably offered by companies offering VPNs. No one should ever need to switch on/off their hiding just to access websites that don't permit the use of VPNs.
