Ali's best weapon was his defense..never tried to injure his opponent...never hit a man when he was down...gave everyone a shot..never Dodge a fight..👍👍..the greatest..

The sands of time were shifting, for the Legendary Muhammad Ali, as he was def fatigued at the end of this bout, in his Mid 30's and more than 15 years of boxing had taken it's toll, esp after all the Joe Frazier Battles, probably the most scientific and fastest Heavyweight of all time, in his prime (1967) he was unbeatable, I feel he should have retired then as undefeated Heavyweight boxer of all time, making him the only the second to do so (Rocky Marciano being they first ) R.I.P Champ, we all miss you.😇🥰
disagree. he should probably have called it a day before the Holmes fight, but as long as he was learning and improving.... the Frazier fights, Foreman, the hilarious Wepner chastizement and the 2nd Spinks fight? - all well worth it. Ali is the best.
A brave effort by Yorkshireman Dunn, but he was in over his head. 1976 was a busy year for the greatest. 4 title defences and that odd affair against wrestler Antonio Inoki in June. Just a month after the Dunn contest.
@@Taimaagreed, greatly damaged his health and footwork/speed. I definitely think he would have been better off not doing the fight, it wasnt even entertaining
Dunn doesn’t have the abilities and power but he gives it everything he’s got and how many better fighters hold back when they should be letting the hands go.
Richard had in fact been knocked out in eight previous fights, and so he had been knocked down fairly often. He had most likely been knocked down in a few fights that he managed to win. He had a very rigid stance and was easy to knock down.
Dunn was a brave fighter and did at least make Ali change his tactics. Clearly Ali's team thought he could quickly steamroller Dunn (the way Bugner did in his next fight) but, after two rounds of trying he returned to type, dancing around the ring and picking Dunn off instead. Dunn was a brave fighter but the result was inevitable as he didn't have the mobility or the craft to win but he gave it a good go.
