Good video
I turned a Colman pop up into a stay up with hard walls. The rear bunk pullout was widened to accommodate a queen sized bed parallel to the camper. It has solid walls too. The back panel swings up to become the roof of the pullout. the front pullout was replaced by a solid foam nose cone that provides lots of storage. Even though it sleeps only two people. It provides plenty of room to lounge around in if the weather is to bad to go outside.
I like these videos every bit as much, if not more, then the videos on the new and innovative designs. It is amazing how beautiful some of these designs for the past are.
The best vintage camper ever was the VW Van with the Westfala Conversion. It was a daily driver, with a built in motel room, complete with two beds, running water, an ice box (beer cooler), closet, upper and lower storage. I drove this vehicle to work every day, got drunk at night and passed out in lower bunk, took it scuba diving, camping, you name it. This thing was a do all go anywhere party vehicle. Wish I still had it! And you could park it in a standard garage!
No. 1 is the only one for me because of the selection of teas inside. As an Englishman, tea ☕️ = life. 🇬🇧
My brother help this guy restore his old 50's trailer it came out really nice like it rolled right out of the factory that way. The owner and his wife took there time to find all the right stuff to put in it from that era.
I own a 1964 Shasta trailer in the mid 1990's I was the 2nd owner. It was well taken care of. All I needed to do was have it painted on the out side and have the wings that went on the side put back on.
Great choices Reacher! I love #2, Jenna , her VLOG is a great watch!
Thanks for sharing Jessy's story. She is quite special👍🏻...
God Bless🙏🏻🕊💜👩🏻🚍
My husband bought an old Play Mor trailer that spans just 10 ft. He "restored " it so that we have everything we need. A full-sized bed and even a bath//shower room that he added by removing the old closet space. Small and sometimes a bit cramped, but I love it! It's so easy to haul and meets all of our basic needs. The best part? it only cost $800.00 plus about $200.00 in supplies. You can't get a true trailer experience for cheaper! Love these videos!
You are very lucky to have such a creative husband!!!!!!!
LOVE these vintage campers♥️♥️♥️
Very interesting video!!!
2 yrs ago purchased 1963 mobile scout from a friend, spent 13 months restoring and renovating and almost drove wife over the edge, would love to see videos on mobile scout campers
My favorite was #10 I loved the lady pic and color scheme, beautiful. I loved the stage smh.
At first I wasn't sure if I was seeing
what it looked like in it's time. lol
It was so beautiful. The lady pic, drop dead gorgeous. I love watching things from the 60s and 70s. I think they have a certain charm and appeal. Great job guys!
i liked #6 and #1 ! me and my husband have been remodeling a 1976ish camp trailer. when we bought it, it had a hole in the roof and a bigger one in the floor. and I thought 700$ was too much! We stayed with some original things, like windows, and floor plan lay out. Our camp trailer is a working progress, but we did gut it and replaced many, many things. After watching many of your videos.. we could still add some cool ideas
ENJOYED THAT GREW UP IN THIS AERA!!
I watched this video, I had forgotten how much I liked it!!!!
👍👍Thank you! Thank you!👍👍💚
Love The turquoise trailer, it was the 15 or 17 feet long trailer, I had the 13 feet model. It claimed to sleep 6 people, but you could barely seat 2 at the table. I used mine in Wichita Falls, Texas back in 1970-72. Then I had to sale. Funniest thing about it was the weight. And you had better have a bigger engine than a 6 cylinder. If you met a tractor trailer, the wind took off 80% of your speed. Brahaha! It beat a tent. Mine was a .Scotty brand.Great video, thanks for sharing.
My uncle built a motorhome from scratch back in the early 70s. Took him over a year because he worked full time and also fixed up old hot rods.
It has a dinette/ bed. A bed over the cab and a bed that folded down over the dinette. He took my grandmother, his mom, and I out all over az, Montana and in between the two. Looked like a white shed on the outside but beautiful on the inside. He had to part with it in Montana in the 80s and we don't know what happened to it after that . Probably behind a barn somewhere.
Yes he did. We went to glacier and since he knows his vehicles so well, as we drove on Road to the sun he got as close as he could. Before guard rails....scared my grandmother half to death. She had claw marks on the seats and got a beer after it was over. The only time I saw the woman drink. Lol
Just a great, great video! I am impressed!
@@reacher6874 I am sure you are right!!!!!!!
SpaceBalls and Christmas Vacation, Sh--ters full! Love the Commander!
@@reacher6874 Two of my favorite movies, and my all time Favorite UHF, Weird Al. Keep up the Great Work, love the Oldies and the Cutting Edge units, LOVE RV's!
Love it. Very fun to see these lovely older campers get a new life. Deville was my favorite. Great job, as always.
Thank you for making this video! No 3 was my favorite! That front window is the coolest I also like No 4! Airstreams are amazing and the interior makeover with the wood and metal is stunning.
Hahahaha I was literally just re-watching your 10 best gyro-copters video when this came up. 🤣
Thanks peeps, I love your work!
Hi people from Minds Eye Design, thanks for providing those dreams over wheels that you share on your videos, i simply love the design of the airstreams, especially when updated the interior with modern resources. Keep sending them!
I'm Marcelo from Fortaleza, Ceara State, Brazil
Thank you for sharing these with us. I am always interested in seeing both new and refurbished RVs and trailers. Not to mention other interesting interior and exterior designs in the architecture and automotive field.
The Spartan rebuild near the end is my choice...My 8th grade teacher had one and more than once I went to her Spartan for help with my English assignments.
Very awesome
I only wish that the currently being built RV's are being built to last as long as all of the ones covered in this video. Some manufacturers are striving to do so while many others just care about the bottom line and how they can make their product attractive enough to dump on unsuspecting buyers. This is why we had our Class-B custom-built and know what to expect when we pick it up.
Nice talent friend 💕 💕 💕 💕 💕
Independence Day and Spaceballs! !!! That's the answer.
@@reacher6874 Ah.....national lampoon vacation...not independence day. My bad.
Totally love all of them. Too cool.
Cousin Eddie's rig in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Lone Star's "space ship" in Space Balls.
I think number 2 is great!!!!!!!
Very cool, thanks for the post!
Spaceballs was the right camper. The left I've seen that but don't now we're from please tell me. But yes ide love to restore a camper be so cool. Thanks guys. God bless
I finally seen other comments and I believe the one guys right national Lampoon's Christmas vac. Was his brother's RV
Simply amazing
I love what you guys do... this was (yet another) cool collection.
Yes!
Very hard to chose because it is like comparing chalk and cheese. As a solo traveller, I like #5. For the family and permanent residence #4 fits the bill. Craftsmanship in finish would have to go to #3. Comfort of cats would be Jessie, who I had followed prior to watching this video.
Hey Reacher, absolutely love the camper restoration shows and the way you present them is most excellent. Your voice is very nice to listen to, and the music is great, your crew must be awesome. Keep up the good work! Your buddy, Kid
Space Balls!
Love the Spartens Used to have one. The big aistream by the tiny house people is certainly eye-catching but not practical. Keeping that corrugated siding clean would be a headache. Remolding a 2006 Trail Lite 22 foot, not vintage but lots of fun.
That Sparten was beautiful! Good luck on your current remodel.
Good choice for number one.
Awesome video thanks 🙏🛠🛠🇨🇦🇨🇦
loved it
Great vid
The Earth is not a Globe. God Bless !
Outer Space does not exist !
Santa Claus may or may not be real. I believe the Earth is actually triangular in shape. Just look at all the evidence. Pyramids? The Burmuda Triangle? The Swartz clearly defines it all in a nut shell.
This is so cool!
Thank you I really appreciate I like it really good and gray love you all bye-bye
1968 gm pd4107 from bus to house interrupted by health problems a couple of times but getting there any way more like a tin tent than a full house right now but getting there
I love campers. I have two camper vans both unique. On is a 82 4 cylinder, 4 speed diesel 16 foot. The other is beautiful 1963 Dodge A100 small v8, automatic, hightop, short van in the origional 2 tone oange. I'm going to remodel both Old School Style. One will be for travel and the other for some travel but mostly as a work van (the Dodge). If you are interested in my projects let me know. Thanks for the video.
Love its beautiful to see retro history!!
Those are awesome. It doesn't make me want to restore one though. Lol. It's hard to pick a fave.
This is awesome! Love seeing projects like this.
I would love to have cousin Eddies motor home, just to see people look at it as you go by. I would even ware a leisure suit .
i guess it is kind of randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Jaxton Titan i would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
Very kool dude! ☝😁 🏁
Great video, as always!
God bless each and every one of y'all that make these videos possible! Bye
Very cool choices. Thanks for great video.
Loved the VW bus line up!
Awesome!
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching.
4:35 Bunkbeds! Reacher does it again!
At 7:50 the RV on the left is from national lampoons Christmas vacation eddie’s RV and the RV on the right is from spaceballs I’m pretty sure about space balls but I don’t really know
Paul Herrid
Reacher
I knew the one was from National Lampoon but I wasn't sure of the other! If it had been in the 80s I would have claimed Independence Day as he shows up, in death valley, or was that some salt flats,..... only he is no longer Eddie...or is he...du du duhhhhh?!?!
Great Video!!!
My favs, were 10, 6, and 3! 6 being the over all favorite!!
We had a late 60s model deep purple greyhound bus back in the 80s that had been converted into a tour bus and then half gutted. My Dad purchased and renovated it and Mom helped making new cushions and cushion covers as well as curtains! It was awesome could sleep up to 12 adults with no one on the floor and there was still some work Dad had wanted to do on it, but didn't get the chance when he got sick! But even without having the little bit finished it was a beautiful thing!!! We loved that sucker! So many memories, so much fun!!!
Ok yea I believe your right on the first and the second you are right Spaceballs. It's the only one I new very well funny movie watched many times. But I new I seen the first one but your right I've watched so many Chevy chases movies. But yes that's his brother's RV and if I'm not mastaken the shitter was full they had to empty. Uea you no that didn't go good.
I built a trailer out of a cube box and an old roulotte frame.
Eddie’s motorhome from Christmas Vacation and Lonestar’s flying Winnebago from Spaceballs.
I love vintage campers, but don't own one because they are excess;y expensive, and time consuming and expensive to DIY. Just love them.
Like from Brasil, Mogi das Cruzes - SP
Nice video 💕 💕 💕 💕
Thanks for watching.
I love #1
Love the trivia Reacher. Cousin Eddie’s (Christmas Vacation)1972 Ford Condor 2 Rv is a classic and in 2018 was on display at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Eagle 5 was actually a 1986 Winnebago Chieftain 33. BTW how many do I have to get right before I win tee-shirt?
I did like number nine number six number four and number three I live in any of those the rest were OK👍👍👍
Rebuilding a 1979 30ft Revcon right now myself.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
# 6 is sweet
Awesome Video.. I sure Enjoyed it Thanks For Sharing.. "A+"....
Thanks for watching.
Spaceballs RV on the right with wings? “May the Shwartz be with you.”
Las Vegas vacation is the other TV. Eddie and kathrine..and their 8. 9 or 46 kids.
MEUCHANDISING! That's where the REAL money is!
@@reacher6874 We're at now, now.
Real ReacherMED
Cheers mate. 🍺
Real ReacherMED
“What, she’s drewish?”
Loved the Kombi, well who wouldn't.
I like the girls at the end.
Spaceballs!
Cousin Eddie's “tenement on wheels” from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the Spaceballs Winnebago of course.
Más casas con ruedas
The motorhome on the left is cousin Eddie's and it's a Winnebago. The one on the right is also a Winnebago from the movie SpaceBalls.
Cousin Eddie''s was 1973 Ford Condor II
BTW, do you have any data on these as to how much they now WEIGH, with all the new hardwoods, appliances, stainless steel, etc? Everything you ADD, your vehicle has to PULL!
All the website links are in the video description and I believe there were spec sheets throughout this video. Thanks for watching.
great campers old fashioned models can be more better looking
Old is always better
On the right with wings Spaceballs
😏👍👍
Indepence day
CAMPERS HAVE A LOT MORE FRILLS TODAY BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE CLASS THESE VINTAGE BEAUTYS HAVE!!
The trailer on the right is from Spaceballs. I have no idea about the one on the left though. Good video!
@@reacher6874 I had to scrub the comments to find out that the one on the left is from a National Lampoon movie. I never got around to watching any of them.
Space balls and national lampoon Eddie's rv
Bottoms up 👆 my friend bottoms 👆
Chausson motorhomes beat anything out there. Surpisingly French designers can compete.
I want info on that tiny home in the intro!!!
From Mel Brooks Movie Spaceballs. The name of the RV is Eagle.
@@reacher6874 My parents were big fans of Mel. One of the 1st movies I remember warching in the 70s was Young Frankinstien. I'm more of geek for MB movies. The other RV I don't remember...
👍👍🙋🙋
#1 is one of those zombie apocalypse type mobile home you see in movies lol
Just what I'm getting if that ever happens.
it's from space balls
I sew a caravan from 1969 but it was in really bad condition along with a rotting floor with a HORRIBLE smell in it, it is definitely screaming for a restoration.
VW 9:25
When you ask for a thumbs up and a comment, I go to the next video. Have some class. Thank you.
I think you need some class Fred!!!!!
#8 and#3 are 5*****
