- 8/23/2020 - First time on a boat in roughly 5 years. Taking my man BT out on the deeper watcher searching for his first keeper fluke. Turns out the roles were reversed this time, student became the teacher!
Give me a like on instagram @fromthesurfnj
I remember fishing here this is where I grew up I once caught a 15-pound fluke on a 13 ft surf fishing rod when I was in my teens well shark fishing now no fluke grow to that size but I remember fighting that thing to land it on shore was an experience it tasted good btw.
Wow you had a really calm day
Nice video man. What lb braid we’re you using? In north Jersey party boat sharpies use 15lb braid with up to 30lb leader. Also unfortunately gulp color makes a difference. White glow and pink shine 6inch grubs have been doing well putting keepers in the box.
Thanks for the tip on the braid. I’m using my normal all purpose rod....30lb braid, 30lb leader. At the end I was using a white/pink 4 inch gulp grub....seemed to work a lot better
It was awfully nice of you to edit out your catches so your friend looked like the pro. Lol. Some of your one liners are hilarious.
Go on the Carolann next time. Much better Captain and he isn't an ass running his boat around smaller vessels knocking kids to the deck.
I was on the Doris may once pertty cool my wife got sea sick I felt bad
do they give u bait or you need to bring ur own??!!!?!?
They provide bait! And plenty of it

Are you local to LBI area?
Not local, live on the other side of the state.....but grandpa taught me how to fish on LBI, so its by far my favorite place to go back to and get some salt time!
