      Thanks @nadinezaghari9980 I very much appreciate that. You are not alone. Many people do not realize "influencers" are paid to recommend products. I share what I see in my patients in real life and develop products that my patients say work. So they are proven in real people in real life. Hopefully that experience helps others. Have a super Sunday and thank you for your support.

    Dr. Rajani, Great info. Question, what laser and chemical peel do you suggest for skin lightening in dark skin and what laser or tools for skin tightening for dark skin ( African American) You are almost at 1 million subscribers..... Well deserved. Lastly, I was told Fraxel lasers are bad for dark skin because of the heat which in turn, will trigger hyperpigmentation?

    • @rajanimdskincare
      @rajanimdskincare  3 дні тому +3

      Thank you!!
      I have owned 3 fraxels, 2 co 2s and just got a new one and MNANY Ipl's etc. I also have 3 fractionated RF devices. Darker skin need s a careful history, exam and discussion. one needs to start slow and work up. The good news is darker skin has less fine lines but still gets sag. I did many fraxels on african american skin 5 but not if a bad histroy of hyperpigmentation. In those cases i use peels, fractionated Rf and occ. IPL. So its complex. Sag is much more important to address in darker skin. Plasmasculpt.com

      Dark Skin
      Chemical peels - any peel is ok just not Phenol Peel, 50% TCA. Mandelic and Lactic are safe to do at home on all skin types, very gentle , require no prep work. Thats what i would start with, you barely peel at all. Glycolic - test your skin first, address many skin issues, start low. salyscilic acid peel is for acne/oily skin. TCA- for experienced folks because it has risks.
      Peels you must start low and slow to protect skin. Results take time.
      Peels and RF microneedling work best on dark skin along with led light therapy. Lasers only last resort for most resistant hyperpigmentation that's been around for a while.
      If you dont have a good skincare routine, the clincal procedures are less effective. Please address medical issues first. Then see a dermatologist on skin issues that are medical - acne, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Then go to a cosmetic dermatologist for skin improvements plan. You go to clinic for rf microneedling, botox, fillers, peels with combination of acids like VI Peel, laser hair removal, ultherapy, etc. plastic surgeons do face lifts and mommy makeovers.

    • @adila2442
      @adila2442 2 дні тому

      You need to know -
      your skin type - oily, dry, combination
      Your skin age - is wrinkles and sagging skin an issue
      Your skin concerns - hyperpigmentation, dullness, dry/cracked skin, keloid prone, acne scarring, etc
      Medical - are you pregnant or nursing, you get cold sores, any meds or health conditions that interfere with services like a peel, microneedling, lasers, etc.
