We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
I have had Vivint for 6yrs now. We just bought a new home thats over 2x bigger than the current, knowing Vivint is on the $$ side and needing so much equipment, I decided to get quotes from some local companies, ADT, Vivint of course, and price out a stand alone from Simplisafe. Needless to say, my install with Vivint is scheduled for a week from now. Simplisafe is great if you have a tiny house or an apartment you want security in, aside from that...meh. The local companies were cheaper, however seriously lacked the innovation you get from Vivint. They were great for the basics, door, window, motion, past that, I felt like it was 20+ years in the past. ADT - right off the bat, it was HIGH pressure sales tactics, used car salesman style which left a bad taste in my mouth. I let them know what I was looking for and 3 different times they tried to push even more on me, like an additional doorbell camera for the back door. I was already getting normal cameras to cover the backyard and the yard is fenced in, I doubt anyone climbing my fence would ring the doorbell... The equipment wasn't great, the cameras weren't super high quality and lacked the features of Vivint, like the "lurker" setting. I asked about some of the basic features I enjoy with Vivint, like having the doors all unlock automatically in the event the smoke/CO detectors go off, the rep I was talking to acted like I asked the question in Klingon. Monthly monitoring with ADT was about the same price, however the idea of a "permanent" contract really turned me off. Vivint does not have a contract at all unless you finance your equipment with them, and then its only until you pay off the equipment, which you can do any time you please. There is also no install fee with Vivint since I'm a current customer. I also like the fact that you can add things to Vivint whenever you feel like it. You can buy their door/window sensors or compatible door locks or motion sensors on Amazon cheaper than from them and they will happily assist you adding it to your set up. They also offer lifetime replacement on their equipment as long as you have active monthly monitoring. a few months ago one of my smoke detectors started chirping, I thought it was battery. Turns out, it had expired and needed replaced. I called Vivint and they sent me a brand now one, all I did was pay $5 for shipping. Same with my doorlock 5 weeks ago. They also suggested I leave my referral code with the people who purchased my current home, if they opt for Vivint the equipment is already here so its cheap for them and, we both get $200. Provided nothing changes, they have a lifetime customer here.
Dang you really got a bad experience. Sounds like you talked to one of ADT's authorized dealers, careful of those guys. One thing I don't like about vivint is they refuse to send anyone out to the house. Some people don't want to have to install a replacement device for something that's expired or malfunctioning. They want someone to come out and service it. That's the biggest difference here. With ADT, you pay a monthly bill which includes any type of service needed. With Vivint you get 0 service, only over the phone help.
IMO, Vivint is a huge scam and they have super shady business tactics. The salesmen came by my house 8 times in 14 days to start, and I would tell him "not now" for 5 minutes straight each time and he would just keep trying. He would come by while my family was eating dinner at the dinner table, and I would tell him that, and he would say "just give me a few minutes". One time he even came by at 10:20PM, not kidding. Rang the doorbell 3 times and I told him to "f* ck off" and I walked out with my g*n. He never came by again. But before that interaction, I nearly fell for the scam. He told me it would just be $79.99 a month, first two months are free, free installation, and I get an indoor security system, smoke and carbon alarms, a doorbell camera, and an outdoor motion camera with an alarm in the driveway and the backyard. Did not seam too bad. So I started to fill out the digital paper work on his IPad. Then I got to the point where it wanted to do a HARD credit pull, I asked why and it was because I was signing up for a loan of over $4,000 for the equipment and installation!! He did not mention that to me AT ALL, NOT ONCE, only the $79.99 price. And he was rushing me through the signatures as fast as he could, not explaining anything, just "sign here, and initial here". So I asked what it would be if I paid up front, the price dropped to $1,000!!! Over $3,000 less to pay up front. Then I asked what would happen if I wanted to cancel 6 months in or if I moved, you have to pay off the remainder of the loan immediately! It is a huge scam.
@@adammiller7648 I've had Vivint for 7 going on 8yrs now, they have no issues sending someone to your home if it's needed. If you have their protection plan, service calls cost nothing. I wanted a camera readjusted a month ago they sent someone out and he took care of it. Without the service plan, Vivint still has no issues sending out a tech, you just better be ready to shell out $100-150 for it.
Remember adt they spend big $ on advertising. Bringing in celebrities to do commercials. Vivint on the other hand spends their $ towards equipment development. Very little advertising. I spent 16 years installing for adt, it got to a point where I honestly didn't feel right installing their equipment let alone the poor ethics the company has. They absolutely got left behind in technology. The partnership w/ google hasn't helped. Merging two brands together does not work smoothly in the app. Eventually the two companies will design a new system resulting in more expense for current customers to upgrade. I actually work for Vivint now, a company with high morals, and strong ethics. The equipment is designed so much better. Both instances I was / am a corporate employee, not an authorized dealer. I can now feel proud again to help protect families and their homes / businesses. There will always be upset people, disgruntled customers. And as most know bad reviews are more common than good. Do your homework as you should. Hopefully the decision you make works out for you. God Bless.
Vivint literally and openly have a stack of lawsuits and paid settlements stemming from their unethical and explicitly shady “business” practices. They literally have a plethora of examples where they dupe and half ass their customers.
I mean I just talked to a sales rep who showed me a video of Snoop Dogg recommended Vivint which I doubt he uses himself. Also didn’t Vivint lose a lawsuit for shady business practices?
0:34 Vivint won’t cancel U. Even when U request less than 24 hours. My installation incomplete. Can’t reach Vivint. Their retail credit Fortiva won’t cancel. They want to bill me $4000. Though I sent cancellation form to both. Be careful. Don’t sign. I’m still trying to cancel a day later. I didn’t get what I requested in contract
Vivint installation is always free! They didn’t start selling solar til about 2013 and they have more technology patents than any other security company. ADT also uses dealers who have different equipment from multiple companies. Vivint salesman, techs, customer service all work for vivint! No third party. The average response time for ADT is 5-7 minutes. Vivint’s is 10 seconds! Who would you rather have protect your home?
@@TheVery1stTime if a man named Michael decides to transition into a woman named Michelle, is he still a man even tho he changed his name and chopped off the goods? Yes. Changing a name doesn't mean anything. Monitronics changed their name several times before finally landing on the name Brinks. Is it a new company because they are now brinks? Nope! Same company. Same platforms. Same customer service. Central security changed their name to alert 360. Are they a new company now? NOPE!
As a customer with Vivint, I have 0 service contract. I'm on the hook for my equipment. I financed my equipment for 5 years and if I decided to cancel, I pay my remaining balance. No service termination fees. However, if you're set up with a same plan from ADT, where you decided to get a ton of equipment and opted in to finance it, you are on the hook for both 100% of the equipment AND 75% of the early service cancellation..... So, under the same same scenarios, you'd be on the hook for more with ADT vs Vivint. And every company offers a 3 day ROR trial period. Same with ADT. That 6 month thing is contingent on your stuff never working properly. And I had a friend with Vivint and Because of the bad service area, they couldn't get the signals to function properly and they had to pull his system because it didn't work no matter how many times they tried to fix it. So technically they were able to "get out of Vivint" because their location was a bad location. That being said, if you have an issue, then let the company, whichever one, know about the issue every time until it's solved or your system is pulled. Because the moment you sit back and give up on solving the issue, then the company thinks they solved it. So communication is key.

Um duh… if you’re financing a car you would be on the hook for it. They are offering you the option to finance to save you money now instead of paying up front.. why would you expect to NOT pay for something you have been using thats been exposed to harsh weather?
The ADT systems have updated since the video was made. I’m referring to the ADT smart home system, which is newer than the commander control system shown in the video. However, it does not have a touchscreen and it the ADT+ app integrates completely with Google.
I have adt and no landline. You can get a dry loop. I started off at about 45$/ month in 2017 but am now up to 79$/ month and nothing has been added to my system
As someone with intimate knowledge of response times due to my work, I can tell you thats absolutely correct. Vivint is also really quick at calling back to cancel a false alarm, which depending where you live, could save you a fee from the city. ADT calls back 20 min later to say its false, police have already come and gone...
Yeah, and by the time you find a translator that can translate their foreign accent because they want to charge more for equipment, but outsourcing their call centers … hell you may as well have waited 45 seconds.
@@everythingyousayiscorrect not sure what you mean by charging more for the equipment means. But in terms of customer support and foreigners, that's a lazy American problem. Not enough Americans want to work these days with all the gen z entitlement and crap. They do have an American customer support team. It just gets filled up quick. So they have one in the Philippines and south America as overflow. So when I call in for help and I can't understand the dude, I ask to be transferred to an American. And they do it. My wait time is obviously longer but sometimes it's worth it to me.
@@everythingyousayiscorrect but outsourcing customer service call centers is something literally every company does. I love it when I get an American when calling into T-Mobile. But sometimes I do get the foreigner. Same with FedEx (just called them the day). An English lady called me and left a message and I called back to get an incompetent broken English lady. So that issue is a every company issue. Not a Vivint one.
I currently have Vivint but set up and appointment with ADT tomorrow. I have had vivint for 3 years and as of July 14th i no longer had live monitoring and no access to any video captured. They informed me that that portion of my service was a promotion and i would need to pay $299 to continue to have the service. I would have been fine had this been disclosed upfront. Just my experience. I would say ask about this when you sign with vivint.
We bought our equipment outright and we are doing the monthly monitoring. Our equipment will be installed in a week. We are looking forward to getting this in our home and having some good security.
@@omarvillegas7161 sorry I’m just seeing this now. You pick what equipment you want on your package so price varies and it also depends on what you qualify for through our financing companies.

At vivint there is no hard contract, everything is made in house, doorbell come free with package. The payments work as your cell phone bill. Installation cost is free
I work wit authorized adt dealer. One time flat rate 3 year contract no fees other than activation fee. All warranties the same and all equipment included no lease. So equipment, installation, cell unit, remote and or camera all included for free. No fine print. For 67 a month
I am a Senior with no wifi. I had ADT 7 years ago and need a plan with monitors that will blast if monitors are opened. No home phone, but cell. Any suggestions?
In terms of saying a diy system is cheaper than Vivint, if you're getting the same quality of product, then no it's not cheaper.... Vivint offers a 4k camera. Ring and ADT do not so they are automatically disqualified. Arlo and Google do. But, google discontinued their 4k camera, so now that's no longer an option. So that just leaves arlo for smart home 4k camera (I don't consider the non smart home 4k cams)... Vivints 4k cam is $399. Arlo is $299. And google, when they had it, was $399. So therefore, the same. But Vivints cam does offer more benefits to the cam which gives it a better bang for the buck. Such as the whistle deterrent. Now if we look at doorbells, they're all about the same. Vivint is $250, Ring (if you go for the pro 2 I believe) is $260 and other doorbells from other companies can vary obviously. But the kicker here is Vivints doorbell can record 24/7 even while offline with no internet. Ring however is motion clips only with WiFi dependence. Making Vivints a more reliable cam for protecting the front porch. Plus Vivints cam can be viewed from the panel while disconnected from internet. With Ring, you'd be a sitting duck 🦆 That's pretty much it for the main complaint when people complain about Vivint "being too expensive" it's all about comparing apples to apples. Not apples to carrots. Yeah I've done my homework lol
I have ADT and it’s a real pain to get any type of custom service. They will answer the phone and send you a email/video so you can DIY your repair. I have grown to hate ADT with a passion. I have never had vivint so I can’t say anything about them.
Weird…I have paid WAAAY more with ADT for a lot less than I am paying for Vivint. The customer service for ATD was terrible and canceling after being a customer for 8 years was nearly impossible. Then their counter offer was to charge me even more!?!?
I’ve had adt for 4 years now I started with the basic without a landline for 27 bucks a month now I have 5 cameras and the google max hub for 36 and I keep all the equipment after it’s paid off
Yeah but you don’t own it….read the contract. Only works if you have ADT… if I’m paying for something over 36 months, I’d better own it and be able to use it as I please. Read your contract. It will show you financed the installation, not the equipment. If you have cameras, they’re the same ones you can get from Best Buy for 1/8 of what you paid adt.
@@Randomname824 in my contract I own all of my equipment I made sure of that it’s in writing i have all my google cameras and doorbell plus sensors integrated into my HomeKit via starling home hub

@@lokey6535 Nope. I just canceled the entire install yesterday. They quoted just under $1500 for the Google Nest Cams. I actually sat and read my contract. I called to clarify and was in fact told, the cameras that they install will only function on their network. Maybe they will continue to work, but I’m not chancing it and I’m def not paying $1500 for Google Nest cams that I can grab from Best Buy for 1/8 of the price that they wanted to charge…..
You missed some very key points. ADT charges slightly more because 100% of their dispatching is in-house. Vivant subcontracts their dispatching. ADT dispatchers are at least an EMT and can help talk you through a medical emergency while all a Vivant dispatcher can do is read a script and assure you that help is on the way. Also ADT's home automation allows up to 128 Smart devices to be connected with military grade encryption vs Vivant's standard 128 bit. Lastly as you briefly glazed over the FCC and several other government agencies have investigated and charged Vivant and their employees with numerous crimes and violations. Vivant has been caught multiple times impersonating ADT to scam and trick customers into signing up with them. While lease to own may seem like a plus, Vivant customers get TWO bills. They pay their monitoring fees plus a second bill for their equipment. Vivant pulls a HARD credit check and opens a third party account greatly impacting their customers often without disclosing this to their customers. Lastly AUTO RENEW, once you sign up for Vivant they make it extremely difficult to cancel and continue to scam their customers by automatically renewing their contract for an additional 5 years. Plus they have a MINIMUM $1500 termination fee, even if there are only a few months left on the customers contract. ADT is hardly perfect but compared to Vivant, there's no question ADT wins.
I thought the same thing too but I discovered ADT is full of shit they sold me lies I was told their cameras ran off wifi but had a cellular back up. That was bullshit. Naturally that’s not what I was looking for as someone could easily come into my yard and cut my wifi cables and I would be SOL and blind. Luckily I had been told that I had six months to change my mind… sike! when I called them up I’m being told there is a catch to that so-called 6 month “customer satisfaction” policy. that is 100,000% not what I was promised and they know it and they don’t care. Thankfully, Vivint is buying me out and at least my new equipment has insurance unlike ADT. Oh btw adt doesn’t know I have switched and their equipment has been offline for days now and I have not received one call. So there goes your premier non subcontractor dispatching doing their job. You mean to tell me with all that encryption and all that bullshit that you mention and they didn’t think about if a customer forgets to set their alarm that it would be important to add tamper alerts? Thats the first thing a thief is gonna do is take out your security systems. ADT is mid and they don’t even make their own cameras after all these decades.. so that should tell you something.
I called Vivint to inquire about their security system. They said they would send one of their techs out to install but I first had to pay the $33 monthly fee, and it was refundable if I didn’t want the system. I said I wanted someone to evaluate my home and suggest what type of equipment I needed. They said OK, but I first had to pay the $33 fee, then if I didn’t want the system they would refund the fee back to me. That didn’t make one bit of sense. Why would you take money and then if I didn’t want the system give it back to me. I told them forget about it.
Im a vivint sales rep and im just trying to collect info for the doors, just so everyone knows, vivint DOES NOT hve contracts. Its like financing a phone, no termination fees bc there is no contract.
Im a new vivint customer. I like the cameras. Two cameras and a free doorbell camera costs $4000. Yes. Ive declared myself mentally incompetent and will never handle large purchases again. I only heard the monthly fees and thought ok sign me up. Then i got the breakdown bill. Hence the mental incompetence. I do like the 4 k cameras. Cukooo

I've had Vivint since 2019 without any problems until last week. Went from CT to NJ for 4-days and while in NJ, I never received any notifications. People entered my house more than once and THEY turned on the alarm when they left the final time. The cameras never worked and no doorbell notifications at all. When I got home and called them, customer service said my system needed re-booting. And it worked after that, but she said my system is outdated and it will keep happening. She suggested I update to a current system for $600.00. My old contract expires in October. I asked for a refund for the days when the system didn't work at all, and she said it will be a $5.00 refund. I'm very disappointed with Vivint right now and I'm looking for another company.
And even after paying that $1300, you DO NOT OWN THE EQUIPMENT. If you decide to go with another monitoring company, the cameras/equipment are rendered useless. Read your contracts people….you’re being charged for installation, not equipment…bc you will never own it outright.
A salesman just banged on my window in my mulch after dark saying he saw my lights on. He scared me to death. Wouldn’t tell me straight up who he was and was rattling off neighbors names. Creepy.
I have ADT since 2015 would not say the installers are experts I had some show up and want to use the bathroom driving a charger with no tools. The lady in the video is pretty!
ADT's partnership with Google Home/Nest has been a game changer. Cameras are all Nest Cameras now and you can monitor everting with the inexpensive nest hubs. I have 5 of them around the house. All of the cameras come up instantly when activated and you can arm/disarm/run routines etc. It's what brought me back from Ring
I had Nest with Brinks. This partnership was cancelled and established with ADT. Which nest hubs are you talking about? Our Nest Guard was disabled and we now have an ADT smart hub. My Nest cameras and Nest sensors don’t integrate within the ADT app or talk with their new Smart Hub. So, I need to buy all new sensors, which is clunky tech from ten years ago. That’d be fine, but their app sucks. I can’t even finish the DIY install because the app constantly glitches and seems to not communicate with their cloud information. I’ve spent easily ten hours dealing with support and they suck. What is this about Nest hubs??
Vivint has been sued and has a contract that requires you to buy the unit first then cancel the contract. The door to door salesman did not tell you that.
Not sure which is better - but I do know CPI is TERRIBLE. They charged us for items never installed, system was offline for > year and now want $2,000.00 to cancel.
I liked the review overall but the info in regards to contracts and early termination is incorrect. If you pay off vivint equipment there is no contract on monitoring. With ADT you would need to pay off 100% of your equipment and 75% of the monitoring contract. Vivint provides lifetime warranty on all equipment as long as you are a customer and has a max trip fee of $49. ADT has a limited equipment warranty and much higher trip fee costs. So both in servicing and cost for an early termination, vivint wins.
⚠️PLEASE READ YOUR ADT CONTRACTS! ⚠️ Often times, you’re charged for installation, not equipment, and the contract clearly states ADT will ALWAYS own the equipment you thought you were financing for 3 years. If you choose not to stay with ADT after the three years, they own the equipment and can take it back…it won’t work on any other network. They’re charging $1300-1500 for Google Nest cameras. Buy them yourself…save yourself the money!
Ring can't compare with Vivint cause they aren't in the same ball park. Vivint system offers way more benefits and features than ring. For example, Vivint has 4k cameras that can record continuously even without WiFi. Ring has 0 4k cameras and the ones they have can ONLY do clips on motion and they are dependent on your WiFi.
If you had a gun collection like mine what ever the cost is per month well I pay $68 a month that is peanuts. Id rather spend the money each month and cut out a couple of going out to eat each month than feeling secured when I am away and to from home.
Go with your local internet provider. It is hell canceling with Vivint and the equipment is garbage if your wanting to change companies for lower prices. Vivint, ADT, Telus (All the same) will gouge you.
Great, Eddie! So happy we were able to help you out. Let us know how it goes. We've got more info on ADT on our website if you want to dig into it a little more.
I strongly advise people to STAY AWAY from Vivint. We bought one for a cabin of ours and the system is a joke. First off, the guy that installed it was a jerk. Then after the install, no outdoor disarming keypad available . No panic button keyfob and the sensors are held up by cheep sticky tape. Had to replace the sensor within 1 WEEK of owning it and the customer support is by people that cant speak any english. good luck finding new options and features. Door sensors have a range of 40 feet. So if you have a big house. they do NOT sell relay wireless for it. so if you need to protect a garage or workshop door. no-go.
I will never recommend vivint to anyone. I had them for 10 years I had 2 accounts not only do they make it difficult to cancel but you have to buy out the contract obviously and the equipment.
@@crazycomments8038 Vivint is absolutely month to month, there isn't a service contract. I've had them for 6 years, never a contract. In fact, it stated right on the documents I was given "no contract". If you finance your equipment with Vivint, then you have to keep the service for the finance period, typically 5yrs. However, you can just pay off the equipment balance at any time and then cancel your monitoring with no issue. I can also tell you after dealing with both companies, Vivint has better customer service and response times.
She lies for Vivint...adt blue is far more innovative and much cheaper the monitoring is actually 19.99 a month for equipment financed through adt and adt monitoring
ADT Blue (now ADT Self Setup) is different from the ADT system we were comparing. We should've clarified that we were only looking at the pro-install versions of each system.
All adt versions are 19.99 a month just like Vivint but the devices you buy thru Google out the door loaded my house with 5 glass break sensors two door sensors 1 cam and 1 door bell nest cam.and still only paid 0$ deposit for the whole shabang
Prices for monitoring and equipment differ. One cannot go by what is said on this video. Call you local dealers to find the actual prices and what it includes
When it comes to innovation, no, ADT blue is NOT more innovative. Vivint has an award for being among the top 50 companies IN THE WORLD for being most innovative. ADT does not. When it comes to smart home automation, Vivint hands down puts ADT to shame. Whether it's blue or a normal dealer. But if you're just going for a cheap system with cheap equipment and you don't care for a superior experience, then yes, ADT blue is for you.
BOTH of these options are BAD and I'll tell you why! BOTH require a "professional" installation from a "tech" guy at additional costs and allowing a person to walk about yr entire home - NOPE! ADT has now partnered with Google which has a BAD track record and just sucks! Viviant is VERY expensive and you PAY extremely for the same services offered for a MUCH less price overall for other systems! I would NEVER recommend either of these systems as I have used/tried just about system out there and are MUCH better options and CHEAPER than these.
Vivint is the worst security system out there, I requested a tech to come out for three months straight! I was finally forced to cancel them and they charged me a bunch of money, along with all the things they made me do to cancel them, they took 30 days to do it, and still charged me the monthly fee even thoe the system wasn't working the whole time I had it. Read the contracts People!! The tech support is trash!! not even American, Try stating your case to some guy in India, wile you hear them laughing and having a good ol time in the background, this company is a Joke!!
Please be careful. Don’t sign contracts with Vivint. They have U sign in line. They won’t respond to your calls once they leave your home. I didn’t get what I requested. Installation incomplete. Try asking for retail Fortiva Phone number and address. Try asking for Vivint phone number and address and clarify it before they leave your home. Or U will regret it. Ask for contract in writing before they leave. Beware
How? I have set up hundreds of Vivint systems, and I have switched over hundreds of ADTs. Hands down every ADT customer tells me how much more they love their Vivint system vs ADT. I have a customer that had 2 ADTs. One for home and business. I switched her business over. She was waiting on how she felt about Vivint before deciding whether or not to do the home. Well, after a few months of trying Vivint, she called me and said "we're ready to switch the house to Vivint. Get this ADT outa here."
This video has already lost credibility. This review is completely incorrect. Half the things she states about ADT is completely FALSE! Definitely a paid review. Get your fact straight. Maybe be less bias and bring reps. on from both companies. 👎 Thumbs down on this review 👎 I have had both alarm systems and ATD is far superior system in every way. I have an area rep i call directly and he fixs my issues normally within 48 hours. They have even stopped at my house a few times over the years to make sure i test my system and check to see if everything is working properly. So not sure where this review is coming from.
@@adammiller7648the service fee is separate in my region they want to charge $59 just to come to your house.
Klingon!!!??? 😅🤣🤣
After watching the video and reading all the comments I am more confused than ever. Yay!
Same shes kind of bias 😂 its pretty obvious

Vivint is the best. Been a happy customer for over 5 years.
Well, after reading the comments below, it looks like Pitbull and 12 gauge are the way to go.
Even though ADT has more monitoring centers, Vivints average response time is 9 seconds. And ADTs is 45 (last time I checked on Google)
As someone with intimate knowledge of response times due to my work, I can tell you thats absolutely correct. Vivint is also really quick at calling back to cancel a false alarm, which depending where you live, could save you a fee from the city. ADT calls back 20 min later to say its false, police have already come and gone...
Yeah, and by the time you find a translator that can translate their foreign accent because they want to charge more for equipment, but outsourcing their call centers … hell
you may as well have waited 45 seconds.
@@everythingyousayiscorrect not sure what you mean by charging more for the equipment means. But in terms of customer support and foreigners, that's a lazy American problem. This is interesting, l just signed up with ADT, I don't need to be changing.
With Ring, you'd be a sitting duck 🦆
That's pretty much it for the main complaint when people complain about Vivint "being too expensive" it's all about comparing apples to apples.

I've had Vivint for 15 years . There system is not as good as it use to be. They don't monitor as well as they did. I'm looking for someone else.
Literally nothing you just said about “vivant” is true…. And it’s Vivint
@@Austin-oo3hqliterally everything that was stated is true and nothing but.

They all work with Google home and the cameras from Vivint are 4k and don't require hubs all over the place. Just your alarm panel
Often times, you’re charged for installation, not equipment, and the contract clearly states ADT will ALWAYS own the equipment you thought you were financing for 3 years. If you choose not to stay with ADT after the three years, they own the equipment and can take it back…it won’t work on any other network. They’re charging $1300-1500 for Google Nest cameras. Buy them yourself…save yourself the money!
Vivant vs Ring
Its ‘’Vivint’’
Ring can't compare with Vivint cause they aren't in the same ball park. Vivint system offers way more benefits and features than ring. For example, Vivint has 4k cameras that can record continuously even without WiFi. Ring has 0 4k cameras and the ones they have can ONLY do clips on motion and they are dependent on your WiFi.
Ring. Vivant is a scam. Their smart home is absolute shit. Horrible contract and service is a fucking unresponsive nightmare.
I’d get neither. I like stand alone with no high monitor fee.
If you had a gun collection like mine what ever the cost is per month well I pay $68 a month that is peanuts. Id rather spend the money each month and cut out a couple of going out to eat each month than feeling secured when I am away and to from home.
Then you sacrifice security and piece of mind. You can have Vivint without monitoring also, but that's just pointless.
Go with your local internet provider. It is hell canceling with Vivint and the equipment is garbage if your wanting to change companies for lower prices. Vivint, ADT, Telus (All the same) will gouge you.
Excellent presentation. I already have an old wired, door, windows but no cameras outside. For me ADT might be the best option. Great review though.
Great, Eddie! So happy we were able to help you out. Let us know how it goes. We've got more info on ADT on our website if you want to dig into it a little more.
Vivint can take over existing hardwired sensors and does so for free.
@Brock Hansen yeah I had no idea, I bought 3 door sensors and the tech was like, sign here for the refund yours are wired no charge!
Thank you ❤
I strongly advise people to STAY AWAY from Vivint. So if you have a big house. they do NOT sell relay wireless for it. so if you need to protect a garage or workshop door. no-go.
This was a very long Vivint advertisement.
Stay away from ADT because it’s hard to cancel service and it’s a cheater that system sucks!
I mean 3 year vs 5 year contract. Vivint also pulls credit so your choice
A lot easier after they combined with Google nest
I will never recommend vivint to anyone. I had them for 10 years I had 2 accounts not only do they make it difficult to cancel but you have to buy out the contract obviously and the equipment.
What contract I thought it was month to month with no contract?
@@crazycomments8038 So did I until it was time cancel
thanks for the info. Did you get another home security system?
@@techdruid4371 Did you sign any documents?
@@crazycomments8038 Vivint is absolutely month to month, there isn't a service contract. I've had them for 6 years, never a contract. In fact, it stated right on the documents I was given "no contract". If you finance your equipment with Vivint, then you have to keep the service for the finance period, typically 5yrs. However, you can just pay off the equipment balance at any time and then cancel your monitoring with no issue. I can also tell you after dealing with both companies, Vivint has better customer service and response times.
You don’t have to have a landline to have adt. You don’t have to have it professionally installed either, get your facts straight
As an ADT sales rep this is a horrible representation of ADT
too much words on the screen
We will STAY AWAY FROM CPI SECURITY based on the HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE we had
ADT does not need a phone line. It's has built in Verizon or at&t cell service. 😂
ADT hasn’t been a landline only service for years lol
Looks like a video sponsored by Vivint. Key fob comes with every adt security panel. That is as basic as getting a key with a car
She lies for Vivint...adt blue is far more innovative and much cheaper the monitoring is actually 19.99 a month for equipment financed through adt and adt monitoring
She lies like a cheap rug from the dollar store
I have ADT so it's to late
Please be careful. Don’t sign contracts with Vivint. They have U sign in line. They won’t respond to your calls once they leave your home. I didn’t get what I requested. Installation incomplete. Try asking for retail Fortiva Phone number and address. Try asking for Vivint phone number and address and clarify it before they leave your home. Or U will regret it. Ask for contract in writing before they leave. Beware
Have Vivint for 5 years and LOVE it!!! Everything works. Support is great and tech is on TOP
I have ADT and Vivint. ADT is so much better.
Well we all have opinions but I like to read why it is so much better if you can share please!
I pray you and your family never have an emergency 🙏... you're welcome 😊

BEWARE OF ADT! Company is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with!

Where are the real reviews. This is not a real comparison. It’s like a biased scripted infomercial.
Both are sucks scams total disappoint with this scams they chart in your credit cards 3000 don’t recommend it
This video has already lost credibility.

Vivint is a 5 year contract adt is only a 2 year? Cmon people.
vivant
Vivint has the worse customer service.. don’t do it…
I need to add persons to my account.
ADT sucks 3 years of hell
Terrible!!!!!!!
Thank you ❤
