Season 3 is just on point. The wedding one is my fave, but literally, I remember watching this when it was broadcast on BBC and christ, I was screaming and laughing the same as you. It is a fantastic episode.

Season 3 was always my favourite. I think it was having to wait a year to find out how Sherlock survived and all the internet theories between series got it hyped up for me. It was the season I couldn't wait to see the most. My favourite episodes were in season 1 and 2, but I enjoyed season 3 as a whole the most.

@@frenchynoob i thought the same first time i watched it. But i think its just because its sorta heavier, abit different, and takes a while to digest. Its now my favourite actually. I especially love the acting from a certain female character that we get introsuced to.

People are mad at Season 3 because the show never actually reveals how Sherlock faked his death; it just offers up a list of potential ridiculous scenarios concocted by other people. Most folks are fine with a mystery remaining a mystery but there is a section of society that just HAS to know for certain. They're the same kind of people who hit up Google after watching a magic video and then fill the comment section with how it's done.
Mary was his wife in real life during this time. She's a brilliant character.

This is peak hotness for Sherlock, 100% 😂 There's a lot of people that hate on various aspects or episodes or even full seasons of this show, but I enjoy all of it. Are there things I would personally change? Absolutely, but I don't hate any of it. Don't let other people ruin it for you prematurely.
Really silly thing to pick out to respond to, but the facial hair I think is intended to indicate personal neglect for some of them, and, obviously, John is trying to move on and reinvent himself, because in his mind his time with Sherlock was a distinct period that mattered deeply to him, and he can't be the person he was with him anymore. He wants to be someone new, at least a little, to put some distance between himself and that time, to stop reminding himself through association.
One of the great tricks of grief of course, is cyclicity and recursion, of being so burned into your mind that you can recall the fact of it at the slightest lapse, and you feel guilty for forgetting, even for a moment. Even after that wears down, it's still a trauma echoing about inside the labyrinth, an uneasy part of yourself.
Don't worry about rushing through Sherlock, you can pick straight up again with Elementary after. Way more episodes to keep you busy

I heard through all the gossip that season 3 was bad. I watched it and REALLY liked it. Went back in and read more. People STILL said how bad it is. I simply don’t understand. I rewatch this season more than any other. I love it! ❤
McCurdy's Book is great. I hope you enjoy her stories in dealing with toxic people in her life.
The last two seasons are very different from the first 2, but i still love them. I believe people have problems with 3 and 4 because of how cool Moriarty is. Not to mention impactful.

I don’t know why people say s3 is shit when it’s some of the best and funniest and most engaging content* the show has to offer. The mysteries take a backseat yes, but who watched BBC Sherlock for the mysteries?? People watched it to see Sherlock and John interact and to see Cunberbatch and Freeman’s chemistry and that’s what you get the most of in s3! Plus, how can people say s3 is bad when s4 ep3 is right there :/

Lovely reaction, I especially enjoyed the start and the reveal that it's just a theory, an Anderson theory :D. I had very mixed feelings from s3 and there are still many decisions I find unfortunate. But with a retrospect, more removed from the fandom and the hype AND with the comparison with s4, which to me personally is very unfortunate, I think s3 is still nice, many fun moments!
I do hate the shit Sherlock did with the bomb though. And poor Molly.
I know most people don't like season 4. I don't know what is the public opinion on season 3 but it's great to see someone who is as excited as I was when watching Season 3

"less good" translates for me: still better then most series I've ever seen, so that might give her a bit of perspective, as I'm sure she'll love S4 too, everyone who came late to the Sherlock-party, don't understand the 'hate' those seasons got (cause S3 also got a lot of hate, S4 the haters attacked the writers and actors, it was awful to watch that happen) but every reactor loves S3 and S4 so I'm sure she will love it too.
BE AWARE Ellie... at the end of this series is the special "The Abominable Bride". It was a filler episode because of the growing popularity of both Martin and Benedict that it was difficult to get them both together to film series 4 so the "filler" episode was done to appease expectations.

Weird to claim S03 to be sh't... I mean, compared to what is it bad? I assume these people actually likes Sherlock to begin with, right? While there are certainly great things in S01 & S02, its hardly that much better than S03... and most Sherlock fans would consider S04 as the weekest by some margin, although I myself loves certain parts of S04 as well. Now the next to eps (2&3) has some of the asolute best moments of not just Sherlock by maybe in the history of all tv-shows. Look for it!

I honestly don't get the post-season 2 hate either, especially this season. My best theory is that the hype from the season 2 finale, combined with so much time to theorize and otherwise work the fanbase up resulted in expectations that the series had no possible way of living up to. It's sadly a common occurrence where fandoms are concerned
That and also moriarty being a fan favorite, so people were disapoilted not to see him more

u should not believe internet nerds that "this one is sooo shit"; hyperbole and petty criticism is what drives them. sherlock season 1+2 are peak but season 3 is entirely enjoyable, ep2 of is might be my fav sherlock ep ever. the one set in the 1800s is fantastic and fun and season 4 is really different, but also very much enjoyable. dont believe hardcore fans when something "got shit". The hobbit trilogy is not lotr, but its for sure not shit. same with sherlock. same with witcher seasons 2+3. people are just ... i dunno... not able of appropriately applying criticism.

S3 and 4 were SO good imo cause you can tell both Martin and Benedict got such better actors from other work (and just age, getting older) so they both upped their game so much. Have fun with the other eps👍

Season 4 is the one that is a bit... ehhh, enjoyable but doesnt give a chance for thre audience to guess whta's going on because of the nature of the "dont trust what the show is showing you" vibe which was unbearing at times.
