I'm a Karen - Home Improvement/DIY Shows Need To Do Better

I was called a 'Karen' the other day. Why? Because I made a comment about a major safety issue on a home improvement/DIY television show preview on social media. It seems like any non-positive comment we make these days we are labeled a 'Karen'. Well, I hate to break it to you, but not everything you see on TV, streaming and social media is correct when it comes to these types of shows/projects.....and people should speak up when certain situations occur. When something is not built/designed correctly, and is in violation of building codes, this puts the 'health, safety and welfare' of the public at risk. We need to do better and perform our due diligence (research) regarding building and zoning codes-especially on these shows being aired all over the world. Viewers need education.....not misinformation and unneeded drama.
