They (the producers and studio) tried to make Blade Trinity lighter and more appealing to younger audiences (hence the casting). Wesley Snipes hated the direction of the movie and didn't hide it from the director and other actors. His disdain for their characters in the movie was real. He felt like he was being pushed out of his own franchise and resented it. The studio was trying to see if they could make a spin off series, but the juxtaposition of this movie's mixed tones and the darker Blade II left fans confused. Wesley Snipe's negative opinion about the third movie didn't help it at the box office.
Ironically I actually like this one. The tone really isn't much lighter when you realize most of the new team die. And I'm a fan of gallows humor. (Blame a stint in the military).
Interesting, this was both extended and had the alternate ending. In the theatrical version Drake shifts into Blade, dies and reverts to his human form on the autopsy table.
I'm one of the voices that isn't as excited about Part 3, but I always think it's good when free spirits form their own opinions, so I'm glad you liked it, especially since your reaction to it was far more entertaining than the movie itself.
Deadpool’s name is Wade Wilson. The Ryan Reynolds line delivery and smart funny lines are his trademark. You really need to watch his non action comedy movie Van Wilder (2002).
Full Respect for completing the Blade trilogy, If you're wanting to see more Ryan Reynolds films, I can highly recommended The Hitman's Bodyguard. And no, he wasn't playing Deadpool in any way in this film. He was just being his normal sarcastic typical self. The more of his films you see, you will come across it more and more.
@@cinemawithstephI recall hearing that it was his performance in this film that led to someone telling him he'd be a good Deadpool. Which then started him on the crusade to eventually get the Deadpool movie made. Also, for a more serious Ryan Reynolds movie, School of Life is great. First thing I ever saw him in.
Your HHH love was a pleasant surprise.😂 This movie is not strong, but your reaction was great. I'm not sure how Jessica Biel as an action star, never took off. And you doing the Bourne franchise and Reacher has your channel straight up winning.🙌
So since others have already covered the 'is Reynolds' character Deadpool', so I'm only going to add (based on the other questions you asked): Deadpool's real name is Wade Wilson, & he is a Marvel character (he's actually a ripoff of DC Comics' Slade Wilson, AKA 'Deathstroke'). The other thing I'll add: Ryan Reynolds' overall acting style (in particular his sense of humor) fits *really well* with the Deadpool character. The fact that a signature Deadpool story aspect is 'fourth-wall breaking', combined with the fact that Marvel now has the film rights to both Deadpool AND Blade (with individual movies in production) really makes me hopeful for an MCU Blade/Deadpool interaction...
Nice. I'm in the minority who prefer this to #2. This one is much closer to the comic books. Obviously, #1 is the champion flick, without which there would be no MCU...
Congratulations on completing the trilogy. I've watched this movie thrice over the years, and Dominic Purcell's reveal somehow always surprises me (it happened again today!)... guess I know him best from Prison Break and my first thought is always "Lincoln?!" Jessica Biel is always fun to watch. I think I first saw her on 'Stealth'. Also, if you like Ryan Reynolds... 'Deadpool' (unless you've already watched it)! Oh, and the 'Neo' moment with the hand beckoning gesture goes back to Bruce Lee... at least I watched it in one of his movies (Game of Death, I think). PS: Just read the other comments and someone has already mentioned Bruce Lee and the right movie.
Dominic Purcell is one of the few Aussie actors who can pull off a flawless American accent. People say Jason Clarke does too but really he slips quite a few times if you`re paying attention in "Terminator Genisys" and "The Man In The High Castle".
32:12- I understand. I loved seeing HHH in this one and I highly enjoyed wrasslin as a kid and even now. So seeing him in this. Cinema gold every second he was in the movie.
Well, at least You Liked some things about this Movie. (LOL) I don't mind this one too much TBH; it's definitely the Weakest one out of all 3, but it's also Not-the-Worst thing that I've ever seen.😉 To Answer Your Question about Blade's tattoos: He does have them in every movie, they just kept adding-on more of them...My Guess is that the tattoos represent how many people He's killed (both Vampires and Familiars)! Just-for-Fun: Blade's Car is (I believe) a '69 Dodge Charger, which is more-or-less the exact same car that Vin Diesel also drives Fast-&-Furious!👌
Not sure if you watched a different ending from me or what. The version I saw, Dracula "gave Blade a gift" by shapeshifting into Blade so the authorities would think Blade was dead. And Blade got away. Or maybe you were confused, and it was Dracula as Blade that wasn't killed by the virus.
Sometimes I think they didn't even give Ryan Reynolds the script., just told him to go for it say exactly what comes up in your head and we will use it. I actually think this was audition for Deadpool before the concept of the movie was even thought of, it was ahead of it's time
So, yeah, I love Ryan Reynolds but he has pretty much made a career out of playing Ryan Reynolds. I will also say that when this came out I had no idea who Ryan Reynolds was. Even today I had to look up who Triple H was, not a wrestling fan. When this came out the only people I knew were Wesley Snipes, Parker Posey and Jessica Biel. I'm sure some of the others were fairly well known but not to me, at the time. Like the guy who played Drake I still haven't seen in anything else that sticks out to me.
Back in 2005 I had a chance to meet Ryan Reynolds on the movie Amityville Horror in Silver Lake Wisconsin. I had friends that worked for a security company working on that film. I said no I didn’t want to meet him and i didn’t want to bother him. I regret that decision lol I wish I met him lol he hear he is a nice person but very quiet around people he never met.
My sister saw him at a wedding (she’s a photographer). He was like hiding out of the way not to cause a scene which was sweet really, but he didn’t stay long. Understandable, but sad that he has to do that
@@cinemawithsteph that is understandable but sucks he has to do that to not make a scene. It has to suck keeping for him to keep out of public eye view
I always thought this movie was fun and yea Ryan Reynolds is DeadPool in every movie he’s been in 😂idk how many movies of his you’ve seen but his sense of humor is great but it’s the same in all his movies
I love Blade and Blade II dearly. This one...not so much lol. I was 17 when I saw Blade at the theater in 1998. I originally just went to see it so I didn't have to walk around the mall with my folks. Knew nothing about it. It wasn't hyped or anything. Had no idea I was about to see something that I would be revisiting on the regular ever since, even 25 years later like I do with stuff like The Terminator or Predator or Die Hard. Saw Blade II four times in the theater. I think I saw Blade II more times at the theater than I've seen Blade Trinity in total since it was released lol..
Honestly the biggest problem with this movie is that its focused more on two sid characters more than blade himself evan tho this movie is not great I'd rather watch this than iron man 3 Captain marvel x men apocalypse & dark phoenix & thor 2
I’m in the minority I think but, I actually like this movie 🤷🏻♀️ Is it a masterpiece, no. But, it’s entertaining, so it accomplished that at the very least. I also think Drake was a pretty good villain. I honestly think he mostly lost because he wasn’t trying that hard. He didn’t really care about winning too much, because he’s bored of the world.
Steph I’m gonna put on my shades to look like Blade 😎 and you won’t be able to stop laughing lol. Yea Trinity sucked. I hate how they completely changed Dracula’s story in this. I would say the first film was the best in the trilogy. 🖤
lol while Blade Trinity isn't great tbh It's no worse than most the stuff we get from Marvel & DC now a days. What are the main complaints? Weak Villain, weak directing, weak writing, unnecessary/unfunny jokes? sounds just like every other superhero movie now a days lol
ACTUALLY... The Hand Gesture Jessica used didn't start in the Matrix, It was Bruce Lee's from "Enter the Dragon".
Oooh noted! Thanks :)
Bullshit Mr Hand Man!! You come right out of a comic book.
They (the producers and studio) tried to make Blade Trinity lighter and more appealing to younger audiences (hence the casting). He's not Deadpool(Wade Wilson) in this. It's just Ryan being Ryan 😀
Thanks for clarifying! I was so stuck on that lol
Interesting, this was both extended and had the alternate ending. In the theatrical version Drake shifts into Blade, dies and reverts to his human form on the autopsy table.

iirc, the character of Hannibal King is also a smarta$$ in the comics

HHH is one of my favs, but Jeff Hardy takes the cake 🥰 Thanks for checking out my reaction! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content :)
@@cinemawithsteph one part of the two greatest matches in wrestling history: TLC 1 and 2. It's like they made you in a lab. (Deadpool reference).

Mahershala Ali is playing Blade in a reboot film for the MCU, which currently is supposed to be released in 2025.

It's just the way Reynolds acts, especially in his older material...Van Wilder and Buying the Cow delivery was very similar.
I think your review was 100% on the mark. Thanks for sharing these with us!!!

Dominic Purcell is one of the few Aussie actors who can pull off a flawless American accent. People say Jason Clarke does too but really he slips quite a few times if you`re paying attention in "Terminator Genisys" and "The Man In The High Castle".
This movie was my introduction to Natasha Lyonne's career. Now, I love her in just about every role she's in.
Domnic purcell and wentworth miller are both also in the flash tv series on netflix
15:57 Actually the “Night Stalkers” name is already taken as well. It’s the nickname of the U.S. Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
9:12 she plays a great role in Stealth 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤘🤘🇺🇸🤠
32:12- I understand. I loved seeing HHH in this one and I highly enjoyed wrasslin as a kid and even now. So seeing him in this. Cinema gold every second he was in the movie.
Ryan Reynolds was playing the same role he always plays. Ryan Reynolds.
😂 yeah that’s what I was wondering
I don't think he's sarcastic in The Amityville Horror (2005).
That poor Pomeranian deserved better 😂

Hannibal King is an actual Marvel character first appearing in 1974. Not affiliated with Deadpool.
I love the RAW is WAR era too haha. Went to a lot of shows when I was a kid. Dope reaction :)

W/o trying to be weird (although impossible) cause it's the internet. Your smile is incredible. Also, awesome reaction. Keep it up!
Thank you :) I really appreciate that!
Actually, Trinity is my favorite. Ryan Reynolds is hilarious, 😂
Blade is actually canon in the MCU, as Marvel has revealed. Ryan Reynolds was just being Ryan Reynolds LOL
Detroit Rock City got a like from me. "They make scary movies that start out like that...."
This came after The Matrix and the hand gesture, but both came way after any Bruce Lee film ;)
This movie is cheese. And I enjoy it. I liked Dominic Purcell as a Dracula who is just entirely fed up with everyone's shit.
So, yeah, I love Ryan Reynolds but he has pretty much made a career out of playing Ryan Reynolds. I will also say that when this came out I had no idea who Ryan Reynolds was. Feel sorry for wesley snipes how this movie turned out, they shouldn't included other characters just for the jokes.
Where is the second one guys ??
You can probably find it easier in the Blade playlist I created :)
Unfortunately it is not available for me
😥

One Piece
I thought it was good enough just not as good as first two
Can we all agree with the fact that the nose ring is hot? I mean wow!
