With Nicki/Julia Stiles, when she said, "...it was difficult for me, with you. You really don't remember anything?" (Bourne replied, "no"). I believe she was saying, without actually saying, that she had fallen in love with him. She was helping him with his psychological issues, due to the training, and she just fell for the guy. I am guessing that it was an unrequited love, that is, they never kissed or anything, but that she cared for him deeply. They probably shared a bond but it was under the surface, you know? I love that. It's not as "juicy" as it would be if they actually hooked up but it's beautiful and heartbreaking and human.
Great reaction! Nicky's death hit just as hard as Marie's. Maybe harder honestly. It was tough watching Jason lose the love of his life in Marie. But it was just as tough watching Jason lose perhaps the last person in the world that truly cared about him and that he cared about. Throw in the fact that Nicky's final act was to protect him, and I'm not sure you can pack more loss for a character into a scene. Being that alone has to be rough.

Steph, the main "asset"/assassin is the actor Vincent Cassel. He and Matt Damon played in the "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy of films. The OE films are really fun Heist films and I think you would really like them! They also star George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and many other great stars. They are really fun and a couple of them take place, largely, in Las Vegas. They are based on some Frank Sinatra movies that came out in the 1960's (ala Rat Pack). Check them out!
I always thought Nikki would be a great character to base a TV show around. What was she up to during those years? Hiding, learning, rescuing operatives from their sick bosses, falling for the wrong guys because they reminded her of Bourne, or because they were nothing like Bourne. Methinks her hack in Iceland wasn't the first time she appeared on the grid and then disappeared again. But if you can't get Julia Stiles to play her, forget it.
So glad you watched this bookend film! I remember being so excited when this came out back in 2016; this definitely was a stroll through memory lane! Great reaction as always :) Can't wait for the next film you decide to react to!
32:40 NIcki's death wasn't "pointless"; she sacrificed herself to throw the titular character the memory stick so that he didn't have to come and get it from her/try to save her life and put himself in the line of fire.

He refused to do cash grab movies because (in his words) he didn't want to do "The Bourne Redundancy" I believe there were thoughts to do a final film with both him AND Renner after the Treadstone TV series, but there was never a screenplay good enough and now with Renner's injuries....

Tom Clancy wrote a series of novels about a CIA analysis named Jack Ryan, which were made into movies. I would recommend checking them out, with the prospect of reacting to them.
Coincidentally, Matt Damon was born October 1970; his character, David Webb(aka Jason Bourne) was born September 1970. This makes them both, the same age.
Again, thank you for reacting to this series. I don't know if it did that well though. Anyway, I'm going to move on to your Blade reactions next...
The Bourne Stuntacular, a stunt/stage off-screen of the movies features and implies Nicky was still alive and she's faking her death in order to protect Jason. She even goes on to state that her relationship with Jason is "complicated"... So if you that as canon then yes, Nicky is still ALIVE 🥰🥳👏

Agree to Disagree, this one (IMO) lacked the necessary Closure to be considered the Final Film; even the Ending seemed to imply that Bourne could still come back again, someday...if He really wanted to.
I never liked the fact that Nicky was killed off. I’ve always suspected the only reason she was killed off was because this was the time where Alicia Vikander had a lot of buzz around her after her Oscar win so when she was cast they wanted to make her the main female character.
