The general sentiment about this movie when it came out was that they were setting up Jessica Biel's and especially Ryan Reynolds' characters for possible stand-alone sequels, which is why they sidelined Blade for much of the movie and gave Ryan some of the funnier/memorable parts. That detracted from Blade's overall role which pretty much weakened the movie relative to the others in my opinion.
“We needed her to fire an arrow towards the camera,” director David S. Goyer said in a behind-the-scenes look of Blade Trinity. “In order to protect the crew and the camera we had everything walled with plexiglass so that everyone would be safe. And the only thing that wasn’t walled off was a little 2×2 square directly in front of the lens of the camera.” Goyer also noted how Biel was 40 feet away from the camera, as well as 50 feet in the air. However, Biel’s archery skills improved so much that she was able to directly strike the camera lens from the distance. “She hit a complete bullseye and the arrow embedded about six inches into the camera, went through the lens, and ended up destroying about a $300,000 camera,” Goyer said. ua-cam.com/video/VApoQKeCcVk/v-deo.html "Jessica Biel destroyed a $300,000 camera by shooting it with an arrow on the set of Blade: Trinity"

You guys seem conflicted over Dracula's involvement in this film, but it actually makes sense. Blade's first appearance in Marvel comics was in The Tomb of Dracula, and he went on to appear in that series for many more issues before eventually showing up alongside Spider-Man and Morbius (Morbius actually bit Blade which is what originally turned Blade into the Daywalker), and later in his own comic.
@@JasonKreider-eq8kp He's teamed up with a lot of people. But Dracula, Spider-Man, and Morbius are three of the most important characters in Blade's early history.
OMG yes I actually got to try a fresh baked sesame seed baguette from a French bakery in Paris once and I adore bread and I can honestly say it was the best bread i have ever had
David S. Goyer wrote all 3 films. Trinity was his 2nd film as director. Blade was one of many characters who debuted The Tomb of Dracula comics, became one of his leading foes and without question, Drac would be the main villain in The original vision was post-apocalyptic with Dracula's return to power. Instead it was kept modern and added characters (Nightstalkers) from those comics. I liked how Dracula/Drake was depleased with how vampires were more loved than feared like they weren't a threat at all. The extended cut is a bit better than the theatrical version plus 2 alternate endings that were interesting. There was controversy with this one behind the scenes in terms of on-set fights, contractual and legal battles. Ryan Reynolds as Hannibal King was obviously prepping to become Deadpool (unknowingly). In 2006, Blade got his own scripted series, the first-ever from Marvel for mature audiences, pre-Netflix. It ran 1 season (13 episodes), was set in the same universe as The Blade Trilogy after the event of the 3rd film. Even if part 3 was considered the worse, David S. Goyer bounced back with creating the screenstory for The Dark Knight Trilogy and co-writing Batman Begins with Christopher Nolan.
James Remar is not always a crooked cop. Along with playing a very bad version of Raiden in a Mortal Combat movie, he was also the voice of Korra's father in The Legend of Korra.
To answer ur question Oak so i did see this movie w friends in the theater & its actually my very first Ryan film!! I just remember thinking who is this guy? Obviously good looking & so fricken funny. My friend knew him from van wilder but i never knew of it. Didnt really watch those kind of movies back then. Maybe im the only person that didnt know him, but id like to think someone else out there was like me. I definately wanted to see more of him & so glad that prayer got answered lol. Great reaction fellas. Blade movies have always been one of my fav action series❤💞❤️
It was probably the first thing I remember seeing him in but it would have been on the TV at home or something. Loved Ryan Reynolds immediately, forever a fan.
Now you guys should react to The Long Kiss Goodnight starring Genna Davis and Samuel L Jackson a fire duo I never knew I needed, it’s an action movie from the late 90’s and super underrated I’m baffled by how many haven’t seen it but in this case I hope you guys haven’t watched it you’d love it.
LETS FKING GOOOOOOO!!!! 💪😎💪 I thought for SURE that "King" was as close to getting Deadpool on the big screen as we'd ever get! Ryan was great in this! And '04 Jessica Biel was SMOKING HOT in this!! 💪🥰💪💗💗💗💗😁 Fun Fact: Jessica did ALOT of training with the bow in this (hence her upper body development) and actually broke a camera during filming because they didnt think she would be able to put a arrow right into the camera lens, through the small hole in the protectve shield they were using ... they were wrong ;) JLaw eat your fucking heart out!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Saw this in theaters, definitely say RR as “Van Wilder” in my head. But, before “Deadpool”, RR played “Green Lantern”- I thought it was good. Again, I recommend watching (not necessarily for your channel), “Blade: The Series”, which was on the former Spike Network. Gives more insight into Pure-Blood vs Turned, and the human Resistance nationally as well as globally. Also rec: “Day Breakers” staring Ethan Hawk (and a few others), showcases if Vampires openly ruled the world.
@BaddMedicine Fun Fact: Caulder (Christopher Heyerdahl) played Marcus who was one of the three heads of the Volturi in the Twilight franchise that you guys reacted to.
Definitely my least favorite they kind of took out what made the first two movies good, and added in waaaaaay to many cheesy one liners (mainly from Ryan) so it became blade plus Deadpool in my opinion this movie is basically why we didn’t get another one. 🤷🏾♀️ I mean is it still a fun watch? yes I admit super cool seeing Triple H as a vampire lol just doesn’t hit the same as the first two. Love the reaction guys happy you enjoyed it ❤ Edit: 11:25 I love they added this moment he doesn’t show a lot of emotion but the scream after losing Whistler and laying down his sword knowing this time he’s really gone is pretty heartbreaking for years that was the only parent he knew.
The movie gets a lot of hate which is fair, it’s not a perfect movie. But this movie saved my life in 2009. I was going through a divorce, drinking a lot, and lost everything. I was so depressed, was on the verge of ending my life. So I got drunk one night then Blade: Trinity was on tv. So I’m laying on the floor so drunk and completely gone. Then the scene with Ryan Reynolds came on where he’s making fun of the vampires. I’m laughing so hard. I had a sort of wake up call in all this. I kept thinking what am I doing with my life. I don’t need to live like this. I decided to change my life around and use Ryan’s personality and sarcasm to get through everything. Till this day has worked out perfectly, everything is great. Thanks to Ryan Reynolds and Blade: Trinity.
This movie was supposed to set up the spin-off series for Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel as the Nightstalkers. There's a bonus scene that they shot on the DVD extras of this film. I'm sure you can find it on UA-cam.
20:00 don't know if y'all remember this little actor here from Rumble in the Bronx with Jackie Chan. He did this cameo here just like his parking garage scene in the movie with Jackie Chan.
Well, as Meat Loaf sang, two outta three ain't bad. But yeah, I prefer to think of them as duologies, even if I do find SOME things each deeply flawed third entry does right.
I have indeed bought a giant loaf of french bread at the grocery store, but I did not put it upright in a paper bag with a bunch of greens. Nor was I attacked by vampires while walking home with it.
My guess is there’s a lot of internal resistance to the rating. They gave it an R, but I’d bet there’s still a to of executives uncomfortable with it and keep wanting rewrites to curb the language or gore.
This movie has a ton of layers... The original idea was that the vampires freeze Blade and use his blood so that vampires could walk in the daylight and they take over society.Blade is found and rescued in the future by the human resistance and he fights the Vampires.Snipes liked this idea and concept, but at the last minute, the studio went with what you saw.Snipes was pissed and threatened to quit. Also, the studio was thinking about having a spin off film with Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel.
Fun fact: In Blade: Trinity, there is a theory that La Magra was responsible for creating Drake aka. Dracula, by either turning him or through a kind of Demi-god birth but this remains unconfirmed.
There was an alternate ending where all the vampires in the world did die. We see Ryan and Whistler are at a club and they are there hunting werewolves now.
Blooper: Blade jumps out of the window, broken glass everywhere. "I forgot my sword." Glass magically disappears. This was the worst installment in the Blade franchise.
Tripple H did some damage during the fight scene. Ryan had some good injuries as he did all his own stunts. It was a few months after this Westley was put in jail for millions in unpaid taxes.

I really liked it! I loved the first, was okay with the second and saw this one in the theater. I was 14 years old and Dracula... did things for me 😆 I got the dvd and kept playing some of the scenes with him just to hear his voice 😂 I also really liked the soundtrack and thought the humor was good because otherwise it would have been too full of itself. But it's very much a 00's movie with all what that entails. But compare it to other "superhero" movies at that point and it's great!
I was ten years old when I saw blade 1 in the movie theater, the only thing I can remember about that moment is the blood bath scene, that shit was so intense and my step dad likes to sit in the front row in front of the scene, that shit was on another level
Sadly, Wesley Snipes did not enjoy working on this film. So much so, that he supposedly communicated with the director via post-it notes only and stayed in his trailer almost the entire time. Also, A LOT of his scenes were shot with his stunt man where they could get away with it.
Enjoyed your reaction guys. I get it; as a vampire movie this one might lack a bit. But the addition of Ryan as comic relief might have saved this movie (you're right, he absolutely stole the movie). Was it bad? No. Was.it great? Also no. But it was a really fun watch. And it seems fitting that ryan was in one of the first MCU movies and then later i. Deadpool. For the record, one great vampire movie I think you'd like that gets overlooked is Near Dark with Lance Henriksen. Well worth a look if you're interested.
I remember that there were close to no advertisements for this film, 🎥 I saw it in theaters with my family, but the only reason we knew it came out was because the title Blade Trinity was on the marquee as well as a big Cardboard Cutout of Blade in front the movie theater we were passing 😮. They watered down the story and the character in order to attempt to reach a wider audience and ended up getting neither and alienating the one they had, sound familiar? 😂 RIP 🪦 Blade Film 🎞️ Franchise ❤
2:25 yay for Quinn dance moves again! ☺️ & still a great reaction when you saw HHH! & his best line at 28:50 😆 & Wesley Snipes is still a badass in his scenes! & even though it had some great lines, I do feel like the comedy overshadowed the story & it lost its charm of the first 2 & agree with Quinn that the dark theme & what made the earlier films so unique was missing from this film, but I'm so glad you reacted to this trilogy! I've especially enjoyed your reactions for these & will be watching them again & again! 😁

Later, Blade's father Lucas Cross offers a way to restore vampires' souls at the cost of removing vampires' strengths. Blade is against this while King is for it, leading the two allies to fight. Blade stakes King, who appears to die, but he quickly returns, and Blade gives him a potion that stops his need to consume blood."
omg u guys are having so much fun i love it XD that intro shot of blade was AMAZING
Deadpool should have one line where he mentions fighting vampires with a bad ass black dude once and make it official canon.
Maybe they can do a cameo for him if the blade movie ever comes out!
Blade also teamed up with Howard the duck
@@JasonKreider-eq8kp He's teamed up with a lot of people. But Dracula, Spider-Man, and Morbius are three of the most important characters in Blade's early history.
It's the crappy version of dracula in is one of many problens
@@DarthTingleBinks And Deacon Frost. The scientist version, not the film version.
@@DarthTingleBinksMan-Thing team up ftw!
Ngl, a fresh baked French baguette is pretty damn good lol
OMG yes I actually got to try a fresh baked sesame seed baguette from a French bakery in Paris once and I adore bread and I can honestly say it was the best bread i have ever had
David S. Goyer wrote all 3 films.
Trinity was his 2nd film as director.
Blade was one of many characters who debuted The Tomb of Dracula comics, became one of his leading foes and without question, Drac would be the main villain in
The original vision was post-apocalyptic with Dracula's return to power.
And of course the classic the warriors
Dexter Morgan dad
i’m a simple man. i see jessica biel in the title, i click
I have no idea why but them counting the kicks was just hilarious.
I thought for SURE that "King" was as close to getting Deadpool on the big screen as we'd ever get! Ryan was great in this!
And '04 Jessica Biel was SMOKING HOT in this!! 💪🥰💪💗💗💗💗😁
Fun Fact: Jessica did ALOT of training with the bow in this (hence her upper body development) and actually broke a camera during filming because they didnt think she would be able to put a arrow right into the camera lens, through the small hole in the protectve shield they were using ... they were wrong ;) JLaw eat your fucking heart out!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Biel and Reynolds were fun to watch. Best thing about this film was Ryan discovering Deadpool in between filming.
Triple H had a cool death scene. Sometimes thats better, especially when Ryan was getting wrecked by him. A strong death if you will.
When I was a kid I thought Triple H and Sean Bean was the same person. 😅
Lmfao when I read this I thought it said said Sean Astin and was very confused. Sean bean makes way more sense. 😂
I like 2-1-3 as vampire movies. This ones just pure comedy gold tho and a lot of fun to watch.
Love the reaction guys happy you enjoyed it ❤
Edit: 11:25 I love they added this moment he doesn’t show a lot of emotion but the scream after losing Whistler and laying down his sword knowing this time he’s really gone is pretty heartbreaking for years that was the only parent he knew.
Loved the kick counter, Oak 😂❤
Saw all 3 of these in theaters. Not perfect, but so so loved!
AHh, the film that was fueled by cocaine! Patton Oswalt has the best stories about this
Pretty much every Hollywood movie production is fueled by cocaine. It's like coffee for them
26:10
According to Wikipedia, Buell stopped making motorcycles in October of 2009 and went back into production in February of 2021.
“Daybreakers” is a great vampire movie.
Ethan Hawke has an amazing performance.
Also, you guys messed up by not watching the extended version.
20:00 don't know if y'all remember this little actor here from Rumble in the Bronx with Jackie Chan. He did this cameo here just like his parking garage scene in the movie with Jackie Chan.
My guilty pleasure is liking Blade III 😃
It's good that you guys enjoyed this movie. A lot of people didn't. Chris Christopherson and Wesley snipes have both disowned this one.
Was waiting for this one to see your reaction to Triple H lol
I could be wrong, but i believe there was a deleted scene or an after credit where they wanted to introduce werewolves.
Blade 3 was awesome 😎
Dope movie. The first Blade and Trinity are my faves.
Unpopular opinion, I love this movie. Blade Trinity is my favourite out of the three blade movies.
This and the Sam Raimi Spiderman movies had a chance to be great trilogies
Well, as Meat Loaf sang, two outta three ain't bad. But yeah, I prefer to think of them as duologies, even if I do find SOME things each deeply flawed third entry does right.
I have indeed bought a giant loaf of french bread at the grocery store, but I did not put it upright in a paper bag with a bunch of greens. Nor was I attacked by vampires while walking home with it.
For as much fun as this movie is, it gets a lot of hate.
did you notice the guy Caulder..... he's a vampire in the twilight series. he plays one of the Voltare.
If the first two Blade movies didn't exist, this would be fucking awesome..
The fact the new Blade movie keeps haveing issues just saddens me. :(
Probably the fight coordination since they know the comparisons to Snipe's Blade is unavoidable.
Snipes himself indirectly roasted it lmao.
My guess is there’s a lot of internal resistance to the rating. They gave it an R, but I’d bet there’s still a to of executives uncomfortable with it and keep wanting rewrites to curb the language or gore.
30 days of night is a good movie, or you guys should watch Doom 2005 movie.
Fun fact:
In Blade: Trinity, there is a theory that La Magra was responsible for creating Drake aka. Dracula, by either turning him or through a kind of Demi-god birth but this remains unconfirmed.
Even Bill Murray knows being big in Sumerian is not good.
Judas committed suicide by hanging himself on that tree and the branch broke and he became the undead.
@couch.patati-patata That's the movie Dracula: 2000.
The origin of his in that movie is really an incredible twist.
Kick counter almost looked like “Kkk” counter lmaoooo
I said the same thing _😂
I VERY clearly say KICK multiple times! My handwriting just sucks! -Oak
@@davidbaye3758 we kno oak! Just bustin ya balls alil bit. I kno there's alot of clowns out there who mite take this seriously so I get why u have to defend yaself. We love y'all tho big guy! And the content y'all put out! Keep doin ya thing 🤙🏾
I really liked it! I loved the first, was okay with the second and saw this one in the theater. I was 14 years old and Dracula... did things for me 😆 I got the dvd and kept playing some of the scenes with him just to hear his voice 😂
I also really liked the soundtrack and thought the humor was good because otherwise it would have been too full of itself. But it's very much a 00's movie with all what that entails. But compare it to other "superhero" movies at that point and it's great!
57:20 - guys, please.... the mics are picking up all that noise 😵😵💫 it's almost every video 😔
'Blade: Trinity', 'The Trexas Chainsaw Massacre' (2003) and the first season of 'The Sinner' are my favourite Jessica Biel performances.☺
This was the first movie where Ryan Reynolds displayed his new muscular physique and the ladies went wild.
Wesley Snipes was not happy with this movie at all. He didn’t like that he didn’t get much screen time, that Ryan Reynolds made a lot of jokes, etc.
I was ten years old when I saw blade 1 in the movie theater, the only thing I can remember about that moment is the blood bath scene, that shit was so intense and my step dad likes to sit in the front row in front of the scene, that shit was on another level
24:51 Wesley being Wesley🤣 You know he breaks character when his voice isn't deep.
I actually like the third movie lol
This was fun to watch again. The second one is still the best to me. Have you guys seen OldBoy? I really think you guys would enjoy it.
Saw it in the theater and it’s exactly like you guys said, I was surprised to see Van Wilder: Action Hero
Poor James Remar has been typecast since he was in "The Warriors". You guys should check out Innocent Blood, don't miss Don Rickles as a vampire.
I buy a French baguette every week.
Need to watch “ Queen of the damned” and “ Daybreakers”
This movie is definitely a little goofy but I casay I hate it this movie is pretty enjoyable
I fucking love this movie, it's what made me fall in love with Ryan Reynolds
I loved Parker Posey in this movie. She played "diabolical beast from h*ll" really well.
There was a post credit scene showing Ryan Reynolds fighting a werewolf.
Good job guys!
