I have the SSC813 and it’s such a great watch. Love the dimensions although the only thing I don’t like is the lack of micro adjustments. The watch is either too tight or too loose. Great vid!

I have the same model and the same grip. I have a 7.25 wrist and the lack of micro adjust won't let me get that perfect fit. Otherwise, I love the watch.

I ordered mine on the 6th of November and 2 days ago I got finally the shipping label (the dealer sold all models he ordered before he even got them). I took the SSC813P1 (white dial). I also didn't understand why they made a 24h subdial, it would make more sense if it had a 2nd timezone instead. But I fell in love withe the look at the minute I saw it and now I can't wait to put it finally on my wrist.
Got the black and Panda versions. LOVE them

I love this watch. Got mine here locally in town last week. 39.5mm seems small on paper, but it looks killer on my 6.75 inch wrist. The bracelet, which I love, gives it a great masculine look. The bracelet resembles a Tag F1 style, which looks killer. In my opinion, I think it would be too dainty for my personal tastes on a strap, but I haven't tried it yet. Also, I had the choice of all 3 colors. I chose black. I was tempted to go with white just because the exclusivity, but black is more neutral, and I plan to wear this one almost daily. If i chose the panda, I know I would have been regretting my decision once the panda was available everywhere. The blue looks great too in person. The blue is kind of navy, almost black looking, definitely not the way it looks in photos.
I didn't like the bracelet
It seemed cheap feeling. Almost like it was made of some lightweight metal. Two micro adjustment holes isn't great, and I prefer female endlinks. The deal breaker for me was the date window. Looks horrible. They should have definitely left it off.
I went and bought a ln amazing condition 1974 JDM coke pogue instead.
@@frankdux5693 well it's only a $500 watch so I think you are being a little critical. The bracelet is way better than any other offerings from Seiko in the price range. Also, I don't understand when people complain about only 2 micro adjustment holes. I mean who goes about fartin around with micro adjustments on a daily basis. In my whole 20 years of watch enthusiasm, I have never needed to adjust the micro adjustment on a daily basis. Size the bracelet right, and maybe, I said maybe you might need to utilize the first hole on the adjustment. I have never needed to go past the second hole, like I said that's more of improperly sized bracelet issue.
@@nightstalker824 not really. I got a great fit on a sarb033 with only two micro adjustment holes. Others might be unlucky. I own a watch that has the double deployment bracelet with zero micro adjustment and luckily got a good fit, although it's a little tight at the moment so not wearing it.
Do they supply half links with the bracelet?
Its not always about just sizing the bracelet correctly because sometimes it's too big with a link in and too small with a link out, therefore you need more adjustment holes to get a good fit.
Tbh, all manufacturers should start moving towards the ratchet on the fly toolless adjustment. My $7500 omega has it, but also my $1000 Chris ward. I've seen videos of cheap san Martin watches having it too so price isn't the issue. They should all start using quick release too.

Im guessing the .5 seconds a day means you can time 24 hour races without losing a tick placement. so the watch functions perfectly for what its designed for. Compared to losing 10 seconds a month. .3 seconds a day. The watch still performs exactly the same. And these are for motorsports. The 24 hour subdial would still perform just as fine as the older movement. Except this is cheaper to produce. And just as reliable. That 24 hour subdial is a huge selling point for me because i look forward to the 24 hour races like holidays.

Crazy people were paying that much for this watch. I waited several months after it came out and I purchased it for $470. My buddy got the panda version $379 recently.

I love Seiko also. But at 39.3mm It’s too small to see all the detail, in that beautiful busy dial. SEIKO IS KING.

It's a great looking functional watch but if I wanted solar analog chronograph also with a useless 24 hour subdial I'd certainly look at some of the Citizen offerings before handing over the green folding stuff. I'd also look at some of the G-Shock analog offerings if you want to keep yourself occupied in a queue trying to understand how many features the things have.

How is legibility on the black dial? Is it ever difficult to read in sunlight?

I bought the SSC815 blue dial, and that is such a banger, the colors really remind me of the classic Speedtimer of the 70's. Overall I'm satisfied although $675 is probably about $200 too much. Great review 👏 👌 😃

Could i ask whats the difference between quartz and mechaquartz movements?thanks alot sir great job! i think cream dial is more beautiful....
So quartz uses a quartz crystal and electronics to run the watch. Mecha quartz does the same but has a mechanical module or part on top that controls the chronograph function. So you get almost like a half mechanical half quartz watch. Best of both worlds.

Nice watch but to small
Daytona is the least original and least iconic Rolex design. It started as a speedmaster crammed into a rolex case. Failed to be the NASA watch, failed to be the racing watch, and was always a failure to Rolex standards until they put ceramic on it. Nobody can rip off the daytona because it was never original in design.
That's a Pagani Design not a Parnis.
