That guitarist with the glasses and the vest is fantastic. As a washed-up half-decent guitarist I wish I had his right hand technique. I bet they wrote this song around this riff. He was probably just jamming one day, came up with it, and introduced it to the rest of the band. They all loved it and built a fabulous song around it. That's my guess. He is very busy for the entire song and never misses a note, and his tone is perfect. Nice and clean with some punch. I love it.
Not sure I should even get started on this video. Maybe too many glasses of wine. But I will say this: love this video, total Little Feat, and I think Lowell would have loved it too, I think. He was such a problem child, you never know. But I will say this: Damn his little chubby ass, I still miss him. Glad LF managed to still carry on. Best RnR band to this day.
I was fortunate to see Little Feat in the late 70's during their Waiting for Columbus American Tour. Amazing to say the least. Lowell George was a great songwriter.
One of the best bands and songs I have ever heard. And I'm not a fan of country ot western but Little Feat manages to excellently blend both with rock and roll! Love it!
They played Bluegrass/Country in the 70s but then the 80s hit. Country went pop and they cashed in! The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and The Newgrass Revival ALL did the same thing. I really do prefer my country gritty and acoustic but I'll make some exceptions lol
I love the 60-70s hippies playing country and bluegrass thing, I LOVE American music. I was raised on it, though, my parents loved it along with 60-80s pop/rock and loads of traditional and rock/electric English and Irish folk music. Think The Dubliners and The Pentangle, I enjoy both rock and acoustic (with acoustic strings and drums).
The baddest ass song ever, ever, ever written, ever performed ... day-amn!!! Been a fan for many years and this has to be one of their all time best. Love it!
one of the best bands I ever heard ,Little Feat had a sound all their own, with the loss of Ritchie Hayward I dont they will ever have that unique sound Hayward had a style all his own,Texas Twister is a great song , with a heavy dose of the finest stratocaster pickin...man just great
I saw them play this song on an Austin tv station and besides the whole band just being bad ass, when the guitar players took off on their solos, they both watched the other with mutual admiration. Band members know what I'm talking about.
This is the absolute perfect blend of seasoned pro's with solid rock, southern rock, sweet subtle but spot on lead vocals, prog rock phrases with a horn section to boot. My word and thank you so much for sharing this!
+Danny Roberts- ALMOST A JOKE?? You're right its all bullshit that's why I'm listening to this while I do production reports. It seems all the good music is fading away brother! Damn I must be getting old.
"Texas Twister" The siren song is strong sometimes... on this Texas radio They sure do play it hard and fast while they sell it soft and low A silky voice she spoke to me from down in San Antone "It's ladies night in Italy, you gentlemen should know" When I saw that neon sign, knew just where to go Her shoulders soft so I pulled off, her headlights aglow A bartender said to me, boy I want you to meet my sister She's high-strung and a little young, but she's a real Texas twister A real Texas twister I said "How young is too young? How fast is too fast? Well how high is too high? How high is too high?" She said "How long is this ride?" Well how long can you last? You're gonna find out mister, when you meet that Texas twister Well in the light she looked all right when we stepped outside I knew that it was meant to be when she begged me for a ride That bartender said to me, boy take your money back Before you're done you're gonna need it son - You might have a heart attack I seen the sights now, Paris, Rome, and I ain't sentimental I still remember how she said "Is this a Continental?" No babe it's just for flash and I paid cash, she hugged me up real tight Lay back honey I'll drive you home 'round the world tonight She knew where every roadhouse lies, clear down to the border Long neck Lone Stars just her size, clearly made to order Knew how to paint a cowboy town, long before I missed her She picked me up; she put me down, she's a real Texas twister I said "How young is too young? How fast is too fast? Well how high is too high? How high is too high?" She said "How long is this ride?" Well how long can you last? You're gonna find out mister, when you meet that Texas twister
Its a brilliant song in the little feat tradition and stop going on about Lowell George he"s dead get the fuck over it if you mess with hard drugs you pay the price, George wasn"t the only band member little feat are made up of five members not one.

Love the band, can't take this channel and all the fukin adds. No way is the channel creator a fan of the feat. Ad revenue sure as fuk better be going to the band.
I don't really think the girl's that hot - then again, I'm weird and have standards wayy too high for some ordinary guy like me :p. Good song though :3.
And that would be because why? He loved these guys: Bill Payne, Paul Barrere, Kenny Gradney & Fred Tackett. These guys were Lowel's bandmates. (except Martin Kibbee who was a co-writer of this song, & Fred didn't 'officially' become a bandmember until Let It Roll, but had played on previous Feat albums).
+Kingscrib- You know your shit brother, these guys never got the recognition they deserved but maybe they wanted it that way but all I know is I still jam to them today at 51.
My top three bands of all time. Feats don't fail me now !

Feat has so much energy on this song. The riffs are literally the best. It's like a country beat, but with rock punch. Definitely stuck in my head.
They played Bluegrass/Country in the 70s but then the 80s hit. Country went pop and they cashed in! The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and The Newgrass Revival ALL did the same thing. I really do prefer my country gritty and acoustic but I'll make some exceptions lol

It's their best song far and away, still relevant after the sun goes down today.
Love these guys. I was heartbroken when Richie passed and of course Paul. I hope the rest of the guys will find a way to continue. Best musicians ever
The baddest ass song ever, ever, ever written, ever performed ... day-amn!!! Been a fan for many years and this has to be one of their all time best. Love it!
Too damn hard to pick out a "best" Little Feat song!
@@DrJohn493 "Easy To Slip" has been mine since it came out.
Feats don't fail me now😮
Had the shoe mural painted on the fuel tank of my sporty wen that tune came out😊
Good to see the late, great Richie Hayward. No musician ever enjoyed his work more.
Feats don't fail me now!
...never have yet...!
I listen to Little Feat in the 70's, 80's, 90's and 20'. always will!!!

Oh, by the way, glad to see in this video Ritchie was still with us.
Bad Ass country rock mix
I'm surprised this doesn't have more views, it's a great song and video.
I had this on tape in 8th grade. back when we had rock stations
To quote Ford Fairlane, Rock and Roll Detective...."Rocking, Raping, Roll."
I always loved this song. A lot of great musicianship, and a ton of energy! Well done.
American rock and roll at its best.
I will always appreciate that dirty riff, what a damn jam. A-PLUS
I saw them play this song on an Austin tv station and besides the whole band just being bad ass, when the guitar players took off on their solos, they both watched the other with mutual admiration. Band members know what I'm talking about.
Great job, fellas👍👍👍👍💣💣💣💣💣🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

This is so much better than the acoustic junk they've done lately.
Richie Hayward was just awesome.

I could never work out what genre little feat were! but a great band and this was my favourite album!

I KNOW, RIGHT !?!?
This is universal-flight-music, i don't care what it means to 'people-society,' i just like the 'twist,' "Got to get me ONE OF THESE !!!"

Love Little Feat, Born in 1941
Lead vocalist on this one is Paul Barrere.
Was that the real Kramer at 1:03
Does anyone know who plays the bartender and his sister in this video? They look really familiar
What great foot tappin' boogie
They can still boogie.
👍👍👍
RIP PAul!
nice, a Blue Strat, very rare

Is that George Fuller on the lead vocal?
paul barrere
who's the bald headed guy at the table?....I think its an Austin musician
I Haven't heard this song in years. Who's the babe in the video? She's gotta be one of the hottest chick I've ever seen.
Dint get better than this!
0:47 Mel Gibson sighting?!?!?
Harry Dean Stanton with the cameo as the bartender
Actually, that's Larry Hankin.
Good catch. My bad.
That waitress sure does look like to CW recording star, Miranda Lambert.
I guess this was before her time, but the likeness is amazing.
How high is to high? How fast is to fast?
Love the band, can't take this channel and all the fukin adds. No way is the channel creator a fan of the feat. Ad revenue sure as fuk better be going to the band.
“How young is too young?” wtf
Why was Craig Fuller dissed in the video? Sitting on a chair in the corner and out of view? Shame on the rest of these guys.
"Man, I just play the drums and do the African face..."
Not unlike, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Can't stand that southern, Man Rock.
EWWWWWWWWW

Lowell would be so pissed
I don't think so...
