Half the original Little Feat Band came from the Mothers of Invention. Rumor has it Zappa fired Lowell for writing that song Willin'. But who knows, rumors are like arses... there everywhere!
Waiting for Columbus. One of the best albums ever made. Top rank musicians and of course Lowell George. What a singer and guitar player. Miss you man. 2022 and I still have the CD. Play it all the time when I need a lift.
Saw the original lineup in 78 with the ToP horns in DC I remember the crowd standing for most of that show. Just kicking ass. Lowell has been gone a long time but his tunes live on
I’ve played Waiting for Columbus at least 1,000 times - had several copies of the vinyl, cassettes, CDs, digital, etc. Every note, - it’s the album I use to test to see if my sound system is set up correctly, I know it so well. But nothing, nothing, was as good as seeing them live. Danced my ass off, yep. Billy Paine still rocking it!
Wife and I saw the boys in Spokane, Wa. on Dec 13, 2022. What a concert!! Audience was jacked and into every song. Feel so lucky to have been part of their tour. Can they play! If ever stranded on a desert island with just one LP, it has to be Waiting for Columbus. Pure gold.
Oh my youth!!!! Make me feel young again on this autumn morning when it’s dark outside still and I’m feeling tired. This is like summertime at age 15 again!! 😘♥️
It's awful that Paul Barrere passed but Scott adds so much to this band. I saw them for the first time since 2010 today and damn that soulful/powerful and sometimes raspy voice was missing from the LF sound when the first few times I saw them between 2008 and 2010. Paul had a good voice for his tunes, just not so much Lowell's times. While they were great shows, him and Bill singing all of Lowell's tunes didn't cut it IMO. It's also important to note that Scott doesn't really sound like Lowell at all but his voice fits the music much in the same way.
First time for Feat 1975. RIP Lowell , Richie, and Paul. 47 years later about 40 shows and they still are Rollin’. Scott and Tony do a nice tight fit. Feats don’t fail me now . The show 10/15/22 Chicagoland was a blast! Why isn’t this band in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame?
I hear you! I remember when watching "Rockpalazt" the German TV live event that was live broadcast over several hours once a year; this band Little Feat turned up and turned my musical life into a different one. Around this time I also discovered Wishbone Ash, Jethro Tull and Spirit; a time of a pure musical well for me.
Love LIttle Feat. I have not heard or seen them in years. This is a fantastic line-up. Scott is amazing with the vocals. Thank you Tedeschi Trucks for posting this.
I heard Little Feat right after this was released in Stuttgart open for The Rolling Stones. Lowell George and the entire Little Feat band in June of 76’ were musical genius personified! Much better than The Rolling Stones, to me.
The Little Feat's Live w/ Friends was the party CD for me and my best friend! We'd cook, fire up the grill, cook, mix drinks and rock out til the early morning! Those were the days!!!
OMG, just saw this video, such a labor of love, and yet still so hot, still blown away after all these years...Bill, Sam, Kenny, Fred...love you guys...
Been my favourite band since I was 7 years old and I’m 50 now. Was great getting older and realising and appreciating the lyrics. I never tired of the sound. Never had the chance to see them live so really appreciate this. Love from Leeds Uk
❤luck love & thanks to this band!! Fortunate enough to attend their show in Poughkeepsie NY last night, and the crowd could not have been more awestruck,as was I. Made my year. Thanks for sharing this post😊
Little Feat ! A Band in the truest sense of the word ! My favourite Band's are the one's with a sideman mentality ..no stars ! Oh it has them ..but understated entirely ! Superb musicianship .
I just saw them on 7/23 and this video does NOT come close to seeing them live! These guys were on fire when I saw them! I saw Scott Sharrard with Gregg Allman and impressed. This lineup and setlist is something you all must see!
although I play the CDs these days. I still have my vinyl Feats Don't Fail Me Now, and Waiting for Columbus albums. Even with the new guys, this band is still tight.
I agree this band has been around a long time I remember as a little girl listening to the song Dixie Chicken. What a beautiful beat. I still listen to it this day. 😍🥰😍🤩
Saw the 45th Anniversary show this past Saturday, in Seattle. Absolutely FABULOUS! Have seen them 7 times over 45 years, and this was as good as the first time I saw them with Lowell! This band rocks and is really into playing. The show video's here are a bit weaker in the vocals than the show I saw. Danced my ass off!
Scott Sharrard (new guitarist and vocals), Tony Leone (new drummer and vocals), Fred Tackett (guitar), Kenny Gradney (bass), Sam Clayton (congas and vocals), Bill Payne (keyboard and vocals)
If u don't have dbl live 1980 version & album, I've got to question ur integrity as an America!-lol-live it e buff 2 listen 2 it 43 yrs--u better believe!
Waiting for Columbus with The Tower of Power horns………..but this ain’t a half bad take, how many years since Lowell George died. I reckon he’d be damn happy with this.
Little Feat is the most under appreciated band. You guys rock my soul.
Heard them for the first time in alaska in 1978 and listened to them while king crab fishing!!!
Greatest band to ever perform
I love them!
Half the original Little Feat Band came from the Mothers of Invention. Rumor has it Zappa fired Lowell for writing that song Willin'. But who knows, rumors are like arses... there everywhere!
When I was a kid, we saw them play firehouses, patios, stuff you could walk right up on...this was late 60s...ahhh..☮❤
Waiting for Columbus. One of the best albums ever made. Top rank musicians and of course Lowell George. What a singer and guitar player. Miss you man. 2022 and I still have the CD. Play it all the time when I need a lift.
Got stuck in 1982 listened to Waitin for Columbus for nearly a year. Still love Lowell!
Spanish Moon is one of the stand out tracks on WFC.
ToP horns!
Saw the original lineup in 78 with the ToP horns in DC

RIP Lowell, Ritchie and Paul. I have to admit the new drummer nails it!
Oh my youth!!!! Make me feel young again on this autumn morning when it’s dark outside still and I’m feeling tired. This is like summertime at age 15 again!! 😘♥️
How GOOD is this band, since,1969.
My favorite LF song. This version just about transcends the original live version on Waiting For Columbus. The show goes on!
Just about, huh!! Still not like Lowell's, but it's on my list!! 👽💚🌲👍✌️
Me too Brother. And yes it does.
It’s cool David.

Such a refreshing blast from the past, miss the boys but the tunes still Rocking!! Love & Luck to All in the coming year!!
Have had the privilege to see them twice and both times people were dancing in the isles
Kudos to Scott Sharrard for killin it on guitar and vocals! Not easy to stand in for an un! mistaken voice like Lowell had
Saw them in 76 and 81.... awesome
Me too
Well I pawned my watch and I sold my ring... did that in Sacto... In 2 months I will be in Vegas looking for this place again

exactly! They absolutely deserve it
Got a good feeling Lowell would have loved this cover. I know I certainly did!
As long as there is at least one left, I will listen. Favorite band ever for me.

2022 9.16 Next best thing to Lowell.
Lowell cannot be replaced. The only thing you can do is fill his position. This guy did a most credible job.
Ich war beim legendären Konzert im Rockpalast dabei!! Es ist unvergesslich
Love LIttle Feat. I have not heard or seen them in years. This is a fantastic line-up. Scott is amazing with the vocals. Thank you Tedeschi Trucks for posting this.

Still sound great. RIP Lowell, Richie, Paul. 💔✝️
Ken Gradney was the backbone, the anchor of Feat. You can hear it here.
They lay down one super cool grove in this song.
Seems to be in D flat if anyone wants to riff along.
Scott Sharrard comes in and just simply kills it..... Saw him with Greg Allman he did not disappoint
Saw Robert Palmer when he opened for Gary Wright back in the late 70’s do this song! Love it! 😎
The Little Feat's Live w/ Friends was the party CD for me and my best friend! We'd cook, fire up the grill, cook, mix drinks and rock out til the early morning! Those were the days!!!

My favorite band of all times. They are timeless!
Going to see feats in the burgh again tomorrow. Don't have enough fingers or toes to count how many times seen these guys!
God bless Sly Stone.
An uplifting voice in a
time of turmoil.
Been my favourite band since I was 7 years old and I’m 50 now. Was great getting older and realising and appreciating the lyrics. I never tired of the sound. Never had the chance to see them live so really appreciate this. Love from Leeds Uk

Heard you in Bozeman 1979 live ... and you have kept evolving amazing feats of a fantastic band!
Little feat lives
I was at the show Saturday night in Akron, Ohio. This was the best concert I've attended, and I've been going to concerts for more than 50 years!
I'm dancing happy feet can't stop man!!!
Saw these guys this summer - they kicked butt!! Great, great show - drummer drives it - this whole band just rocked!!!
Still, a stone groove. Born to boogie
I'll keep a weather eye out for these guys.
I just saw them on 7/23 and this video does NOT come close to seeing them live! These guys were on fire when I saw them! I saw Scott Sharrard with Gregg Allman and impressed. This lineup and setlist is something you all must see!

RIP Lowell George
This is not little feat. It's a cover band. No one can replace Lowell George.
Waiting for Columbus with The Tower of Power horns………..but this ain’t a half bad take, how many years since Lowell George died. I reckon he’d be damn happy with this.
Trance swamp
This guy sounds alot like Lowell.
