Seamless pro, at the 6:12 mark he actually dropped out realizing his strings were totally out after his solo...so while singing adding to tension by not playing turning the attention to his voice he is tuning his guitar via his bypass switch. I think his strings were not pre stretched by the tech because he had to tuneup before kicking off the tune. It takes years and years gigging to master this skill and make it look part of the performance. Dues paid!

He ain't that good is probably the reason. Most likely he fools a lot of non-guitar players with all his needless histrionics and ridiculous face pulling, but he won't fool everyone. In the same way that people who don't know much about rock music like the Foo Fighters

My brother taught himself to play guitar when he was in high school. He went to college and became a veterinarian. Now that he's retired he picked up that guitar again and loves Gary Clark jr. Thanks to his little sister forgiving him a heads up on one of the best guitarists I've ever heard. His soul is in every song he plays thank you Gary

Ok, it's been quite a few years since this dude started getting down! Used to sneek into Austin City Limits... with an X on his hand so he couldn't drink... backing blues men at 13... One man band himself, look it up! His drummer and bassist have been by his side since day one... and the new glue, yes you guys got the rhythm! Gary is a phenomenon !!! Gary can do it all!
