Okay-for new stitchers who keep pulling the needle off-Thread the needle differently!!!!!
Pull one thread through the needle until the ends are even. Needle is at the halfway point of the thread. Start stitching with pin stitch or stitching over the tail. The needle CANNOT fall off. My mom did this for me when I was little. Her mom did it for her. So simple! Also great for car stitching.
I’ve been doing this for my daughter. I kept forgetting to tell C and E after this came up. Thanks for the reminder! 🤣
The stocking is sooo good! You need a Tacky Bill for beading at the pool, they are sticky, so hopefully you're beads won't go everywhere. But the mental image of you using your fingers to get them had me lol-ing! 🏴☠🦜🚢

Elizabeth - BRAVO on the stocking finish! It's an absolute stunner! 100% I was not into samplers whatsoever when I started stitching. I'm the same way as you, they grew on me the more I saw them. And then I finally saw some samples IN PERSON, that made all the difference for me.

I have been taping my projects since the 1970’s. It works great! If pulling the tape off is causing problems, just cut it off.😊
Yay! So much to comment on! Love the whole update and everyone's projects. I was at Colour and Cotton today and ALMOST bought Happy Camper. Blue Flower is one of my favorite designers. You didn't ask, but I vote yes on the oval frame for Caroline's birds, it looks gorgeous. And I am not a Santa gal either. Whew...it feels good to get that confession off my chest. 😂

Oh I LOVE seeing the mushroom SAL! My favorite is how they do the motif reveals with all the little facts about each mushroom! It’s so fun!
