Way to go, Pat! You will feel so much lighter when you are done. I need to do some major reorganization in my sewing room too. I am just not feeling it right now. It will come eventually. Congrats on powering through to get that all done!
Love your Leaf quilt. I really like them completely mixed up. I love how Bobbi is spot on with the directional fabric. Great job Bobbi!
I am so pleased for you! You have completed a huge, and very difficult, job. Enjoy your extra elbow room!!
Well done, your reorganization is a huge job! You will be so pleased when it is done and you can sit and enjoy the peace you have created! 🇨🇦
I’m trying to disperse extra quilts! Since September 2024 I’ve gifted almost 30 quilts. Mostly to family and friends. I have a few more ready to donate to charity.
great job decluttering, reorganizing, and contributing to charity who could use a quilt this cold winter.
Great job on your right sizing project. I am feeling the same. I have a big donation being picked up on Friday.
I work from home and I try to divide up deep cleaning tasks that I can do during my lunch break. This week it is washing baseboards, trim and doors. 😅
That leaf quilt is so pretty. I like the leaves going in random directions best. It will be pretty however you place them, though. 🍁🍂
I was excited to see the antique eagle quilt. I have one and just finished the applique. It's ready for hand quilting.
wow! share it in my community!
Oh Pat if you can’t find a home for the longaberger baskets. I’ll take them. I’ll pay for shipping!😊
SO PRETTY! Pat Sloan, you did good with this quilt!!!❤
Such a good feeling to clean out and organize. I am also making the snowman quilt and the Pecan pie quilt in Wendy's book.
Thanks for all the great tips while you decorated and purge. It is a difficult process. I am loving lemon chiffon!
I have quite a mess in my sewing room and it has spred to another bedroom. It gets on my nerves but I'm slowly working through it. Thank you for your hints and sharing.
Worked on my quilt room. Made an awful mess clearing things out. So satisfying to walk into an organized neat space now.
Pat, Great job on your reorganizing!
Bobbi, Great job on your snowman blocks!
The Quilted Snowman is beautiful! Several members of our guild completed it on our retreat a few weeks ago! Love❤
Thanks for showing what you are donating. I need to do more of that too. We have several birthday's the first 3 months of the year so I seem to go from project to project and don't get the extra time to sort thru my fabrics. Maybe that is good for April for me!!! I do find projects that I forgot I had often so need to work on them or give them away! I like your new arrangement for sewing too! It's good to move things around sometimes!
Wow! A lot of work! Want to do mine next? Ha ha. 😌
I am in process of getting my guest room ready for my sister's visit next month. Has been a catch all for other rooms I have already decluttered but had things I was not ready to part with BUT didn't want in those rooms any longer. Need to deal with it now. Rather than deal with things stacked on the bed and floor I am now cleaning out the closet as well 😅😅 I will prevail😊
Beautiful Daisy wall hanging ❤
Yes! Born organizer here!
Born organized! 👋👋👋
You are motivated! I'm all for you! I think I'll watch this twice just to learn the lesson...🤩
Love that one from the past!
Congrats on your progress in your big clean out! The snowman quilt reminds me of an embroidery sampler on linen, but that was downright mean of Lori to make the background fabric directional! LOL! Your gratitude and grace fabric looks really good in those leaf blocks. I love to see non-traditional colorways. I am doing some organizing and downsizing in my sewing room as well, but not quite at the level you are. I am going to see how much fabric I sew through in 2025, and then downsize accordingly in 2026.
It's quite a job that you've set yourself. With your Master organization skills, I have no doubt you will have your goals achieved very soon. I'm so impressed.
Daisy designs are always cheerful and never out of style IMHO
Love it, love it. I'm working on several quilts now, but I'm making time for the snowman quilt.
Your graphics at the start of each video are so fun!
The organizing of your space with your perfect cabinets and baskets, just do it. Please be done soon.
Good morning!
The daisy appliqué is so gorgeous ❤
Thank you for sharing. So helpful. I love organizing. Your space is inspiring.
thank you!
I'm making the Quilted snowman only in half the size. Whoa some of those blocks are tiny!
Good morning! I discovered minimalism a few years ago, but everyone that I found always took it too far. I too, just wanted to be a “ just right” with my things. I started in the kitchen. My sewing was never out of control, except, I have too many sewing machines. 2 very nice combo machines and many vintage.
My space has always been small, so I really have to prioritize.
I really love your channel and your thought process for your projects.
thank you!
Would you consider sharing your master list you're using for right sizing or offer advice how to think through making a list? I'm not a planner and I'm so overwhelmed with where to even begin decluttering my sewing room. It's spread into several rooms now and I need to gain control.
I'm not sure it would help anyone as this kind of list is really personal to what you have and how you work. For example, you are most likely not in my industry, so do not have industry related categories. Also you may not be interested in downsizing as much as I am. I will think on your question, it is really unique to you
Love that banner!
Pretty daisy banner!
When showing your new setup for dining room my thought was. You should get something pretty to display your quilts. Then i saw you moved the wood cabinet in there.
Good morning from Schertz Texas
Your space looks great. I haven't watched in a while and I think I missed Critter Quilt #3. Is there a video I can access to see the completed quilt. Thank you!
I am doing the Snowman Cross Stitch it is super cute.
Working on my mitten blocks
Pat do you have a project page for the lemon chiffon? If not could you give an explanation of how you are putting it together?
there is a really old tutorial page on the 'other free patterns' as i have been doing these for many many years. It's just squares side by side like you see
I'm curious how you store batting and batting scraps
I have batting in my bedroom closet. I do not keep much batting scraps. Just one small bag of LARGE pieces, I do not keep small stuff At all, of anything.
Daisy Patch banner is in your Teach me to Applique book. I have sewn it and the Sweet Bea's Bouquet project.
Thanks for letting us know, and YAY I have that book!
I would ❤Love❤ to made that DAISY PANEL.Where do I get the book?
@ I think you get it from amazon.
Curious, did Bobbie already cut the borders out of the background fabric to have continuous pieces?
I dont know. Ask her on the Chat one morning
@PatSloan ok, will do. Thanks!
Do you have a garage?
yes, do you? My garage is full of cars and my husbands tools
@PatSloan Don't have one now because we live in a senior complex. But that is where my husband kept his gardening tools and pots.
When does a WIP become a UFO?
Generally Work In Progress means you are currently working on it, right? And UnFinished Project is one you are NOT working on at all. Is that how you look at it?
@ yes. I was just wondering on time scales. Juggling several WIPs means some don’t get worked on for a while. How long is that ‘while’ before you’d consider it is a UFO and not a WIP? I have 3 flimsies waiting to be quilted; am I deluding myself still calling them all WIPs because I definitely intend to finish them, but started a new top instead?
Where is everyone?
we are all here!
Im slowly organizing things i dont have much but desperately need my dresser back for clothes 😂so i have bins on rollers that will go under my table. Im excited to get everything in its place ty for sharing your method @pat sloan
Good Morning!
