Watching in America, wishing we had a show like this--great people talking about great food and genuinely enjoying each others company. A warm hug of a show.
The last meal show hosted by good mythical mornings kitchen is amazing. They have tons of great guests and food, they make them their dream last meal and talk.
This is my new favourite podcast EVER. However, they are criminally short. Ang and Nick absolutely smash it and guests are always creme de la creme. We need more. It’s podcast crack for foodies
I love this man!! His eloquence, his knowledge, his wit, his demeanor, his sarcasm, just what a truly wonderful human being. His friendship with Christopher Hitchens and their interactions is where I first learned of him and I’ve listened to or watched most things he’s done! This man is a genius.
Brilliant author , brilliant actor , brilliant host , brilliant storyteller , briliant humor , briliant mind and so on...there is only one Stephen Fry on the planet
Bless this man. He's contributed more than most (not holding him up to the pantheon of nurses etc but bare with) but joy, care and enhancement in a unique way and he still worries about how the public judge him when going about his life. The two sides to fame... I wager one side is worth the other but hard for him to compartmentalise as essentially a household name for the last 40 years. My dearest Stephen you can have both so relax x
Just love love love this podcast. PLEASE keep the way it feels so natural and genuine. It doesn't feel forced or over rehearsed. Love how can you see the camera equipment sometimes it really adds to the charm of it all!
Another great episode! I love the level of respect shown between Angela, Nick and their guests. Always fun, relaxed and good-natured. A much needed breath of fresh air.
Saw Grimshaw today, coming round a corner entering New Bond St, Happy chatting on hands free ,old style, with the cords attached, He's a lot taller than you would think, Another DISH belter
The best "DISH" ever, Stephen fry is such a naturally funny guy, loved the end where I can imagine him like all of us in a cosy pub which turns out not so comfy....
Stephen Fry is such an eloquent and fascinating individual. Someone I would love to just have a drink with and talk about any given topic. He might be the most interesting man in the world currently.
Never knew horses and mayonnaise had so much in common: they know if you’re frightened of them. 😂 In the 1970s, I became a devoted fan of Greek Myth through the works of Edith Hamilton. Lucky younger generations to learn them through Stephen Fry: one of the best gifts the UK has given the world. Bless him all the way from Virginia, USA. 🙏💙
I also really admire Stephen Fry, I’ve enjoyed his other books on the Greek legends. I live in Tasmania. My grandson started speaking with an upper class British accent and it was because he was listening to the Harry Potter books narrated by Stephen.
Like you wouldn't believe. I am at the airport and I deliberately didn't take my over the head headphones to save space in my backpack. But then I saw this......... bought tiny headphones immediately just to watch this.
While I have no personal passion for Greek history, I absolutely love listening to people expound on their interests ❤️🔥 it's a wonderful experience to see something through another person's eyes.
I'm curious. Has there ever been a bad episode of the Dish? Stephen, Tom Holland, Stephen Merchant, Gordon.... Intelligent conversation, they manage to get their guests to open up as food is one of the things that we can all relate to. I love this show. Thank you!
Ever the gentleman! I loved listening to his stories from his life. Just watched "Peter's Friends" even though it's not a Xmas movie I'll always rewatch around this time.
I have been listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks again since winter started. This man was so essential to my childhood! Can't wait to devour this entire episode!
Love the shorts I've seen, but never watched a full episode. I will, however, take any opportunity to listen to Stephen talk about absolutely anything.
"Gildas" are delicious and very typical here in the Basque Country. Just at the bar, with a drink, or served at the table as an appetizer. They are named after the film GILDA, Rita Hayworth. Love Stephen❤
If I ever am lucky enough to see Mr Fry in a pub I won’t buy him a pint but I’ll do my best to sit near him and his company and listen to him tell stories all night.
I had a 3 year old who adored olives, anchovies and mild pickled chillies. He also used to plead for Bendick's bittermints if he saw them. As he grew, he continued to expand his sophisticated palate. I can only think that he was copying the adults and that's how it started.
When I was 18 I worked in a pub in my hometown. John Le Mesurier was a local. Nobody troubled his pint in the public bar. I would hope that there are still public houses that might be welcoming and at the same time respectful.
Angela is looking particularly luminous this episode! Love Stephen's story-telling. Nick almost had to do no segueing the guest was so effortlessly chatty and eloquent. Those fishy skewers sound intriguing!
Another cucumber fan checking in. I also love lettuce(s), and other salad greens. My fave is the rather sturdier chicory, called witlof where I live and relatively hard to find.
Stephen is absolutely right... It is now my desire to become rich enough to create a pub, members only, where nice, celebrated or introverted types can sit in a real pub and not be bothered if that is their wish. I will create a table of 'yes, you can approach for now' , for those whom want to engage with others. I totally get it.
I love how they consider what the guests like and try to please them. This always looks like such a welcoming atmosphere. One of my fav podcasts.
Never clicked so fast on a video! I just adore Stephen!
YYAAAAAYYYY so so true!!!
Same! Stephen Fry is a treasure
Right? Fastest click in my life 😂
Same
Fry is a genuine national treasure 👏

Totally feels like being a fly on the wall of a dinner party
I also missed out by being born in the wrong place. Thank goodness for the Internet.

@@scarsofhonor6333 I love those dudes. I need to get caught up.
HBO would nail this, I wouldn't trust any other channel to get it right.
Did anyone notice Nick popping some tapas on Angela’s plate while she’s up cooking? Such a small thing but so sweet.
Go outside more
I thought it was a lovely gesture too!
This is my new favourite podcast EVER. However, they are criminally short. Ang and Nick absolutely smash it and guests are always creme de la creme. We need more. It’s podcast crack for foodies
Stephen Fry is an absolute delight.
Brilliant entertainer and erudite🎉
Flew through the video, what an entertaining dinner guest ❤️

Being posh and being born with a silver spoon in one’s mouth does not make you a great human being!!!!
Hes lovely isnt he. Although he could have done more than just put olives on a stick! I didnt know he was a friend of hitchens!
@Padraigp I think they meant Stephen, not Nick, hon
stephen fry! Dish's guest list getting pretty bangin lately. i do wish to see Alan carr on the podcast someday.

I think this is the best one so far
LOVE when Nick, Angela, the crew and the guest all laugh. That what a good meal with good company can bring out.
Never will I ever get enough of this man, what a lovely person he is
Nick rolling in and making snazzy snacks! I adore Stephen, so engaging and smart.
And Angela telling Nick to clean up after himself 🤣🤣🤣
Another great episode! I love the level of respect shown between Angela, Nick and their guests. Always fun, relaxed and good-natured. A much needed breath of fresh air.
DISH + Stephen Fry = bliss 32.55 minutes has never gone so fast

I thought he was looking extra tall at the start with Ange in this episode

You should be afraid of horses, they are complete assholes.
It is so comforting to watch the friendship between Nick and Angela ♥️ Thank you for another great episode 🫶
I also really admire Stephen Fry, I’ve enjoyed his other books on the Greek legends. I live in Tasmania. My grandson started speaking with an upper class British accent and it was because he was listening to the Harry Potter books narrated by Stephen.
I could watch stephen all day on any subject. The man is a natonal treasure. So Intelligent and easy to listen to.
The most delightful human being. This could have been 7 courses over 2 hours and I would not complain.
So true!
What a wonderful man. He's not just a great actor, I'd *Love* to have him as a dinner guest. I find Mr. Fry tells anecdotes in such a pleasing way.
I have been listening to his wonderful storytelling on his audiobooks - a scholar, storyteller, and sweet caring uncle all rolled into one!
If you’d asked me to choose a guest, it would be Stephen Fry. Loved this! Thank you x
The absolute perfect guest to have for dinner!
Like you wouldn't believe. I am at the airport and I deliberately didn't take my over the head headphones to save space in my backpack. But then I saw this......... bought tiny headphones immediately just to watch this.

Everything about him is pleasing to the soul...😊 salt of the earth human being.
Beautifully said.
Stephen has been part of my life since 1997. I could not love anyone more.
Love him to bits. Could listen to his story telling for hours on end. Went to see him live. Such a deeply talented humble genius.
I adore Stephen, but NICK, you are the consummate host! Host par excellence! And you and Angela together...just wow!
I love that he’s friends with Julian Barnes who is one of my favorite authors! That’s lovely.
Our favorite gay philosopher uncle❤️ such a beautiful person. Can we get a second half hour?

Well that was 2 hours too short, would love much more of that chat! ❤❤❤
When I was 7 years old, I got a full cucumber in my Christmas stocking and I cheered so I feel Fry in my heart for yet another reason.
Huge fan of this podcast.. That ease of having a friendly conversation.. 30 minutes definately not enough.
Is it wrong that I worship Stephen Fry? Thank you for inviting him on Dish. What a delightful show today.
The way he tells stories. You can listen forever
I NEVER miss ANYTHING with Stephen Fry!

“You never regret a cucumber”. I love you Nick. X
Everyone is, quite rightly, praising Stephen but let's not forget that Angela Hartnett is a renowned Michelin star chef.
I’d just been on a binge of past Stephen Fry videos so this was such a delight to see on my feed
I could listen to Stephen Fry for hours. Great guest and so entertaining x
Loved it when he described the edges of a well fried omlette.
Glow up! They both look fab! Really love how this lil’ show has developed and is now one of my favs!
A skinny b with grapefruit flavoured sodawater is my go-to. Somehow the subtle dry fruity aroma pairs lovely with the bitter notes of the vodka
It's a shame that anecdote made no sense, though, thanks to the bleeps.

That's Sir Stephen Fry.

I adore Stephen Frye’s work. Hope he is well rewarded daily.
