Vivien Leigh as Theatrical Romantic!
I'm commenting so she can see it.
Vivien Leigh would be great!
@@ladybluelotus wasn't she beautiful ❤️
yes please!
@@Peayou... Prettiest woman that ever existed for me, with Monica Bellucci.
The great thing about Hepburn is she didn't need to have a body like Gina Lollobrigida, Marilyn Monroe or Sophia Loren.
Her beautiness came from another side. Her refined shape, her angel face, her stately loveliness, reveals she was actually the daughter of a noble woman.
And that beautiness was, without having an exceedingly flamboyant body, enough to charm an entire generation. She is still charming us
I would love to see a Brigitte Bardot Style Review ! She had a very interesting sense of style ! Maybe not the later years though
Yess!
Yes, me too.
I feel, even tho i do not look anything like her, i embody a similar combo as her
Yeeeeees
Yes, great suggestion - love her and her style so much! :)
Monica Bellucci would also be so interesting !!
Can't wait to see her
Absolutely!
Think she's a dramatic classic
For me, any Soft Classic is fine: Grace Kelly, Catherine Deneuve, Meryl Streep...
I would prefer a temporary Soft classic, as the ones you listed have been shown over and over in vids, on Instagram or in blogs.
I also want those
Oh, I didn't see that she actually made the Grace Kelly vid. Then I'm for sure o. k. with it. I love Grace very much. But as I'm a Soft classic myself, I was just eager for someone new. 😊
I'd like to see a POC being reviewed, so we can appreciate the system in different ethnicities. Aishwarya Rahi, maybe?
Poc and plus size would be great
I’m a flamboyant gamine. I see Audrey. I click. 🤩
I love your videos 😊
@@lybo1581 So sweet! Thanks
Hey Frani!
FG here too :)
Same! And I thanks to you I've learned more about my body type as well!
Can you please do it for Grace Kelley. I am a soft classic and I believe a video like this would truly help me.
Oh yay in the video you just mentioned doing Grace Kelley and I'm so excited
Omg yessss
Or Meryl Streep! She’s a SC like us :)
@@josephine.strand really?? That's so cool. I'll look into her
gang gang!
You could do an episode on princess Diana, I think it could be great !
Yes!
Good idea!
This is such a good idea! I love her style. Although i am a Theatrical Romantic her style is so inspirational for anyone who wants to follow a more classic & low profile style.
Yes, please, I love her..
@@monikak.7907 can I ask why? Out of curiosity xD
I would love to see Elizabeth Taylor!
And that would change from Marilyn Monroe (although I love her) for Romantics. Furthermore, her makeup is not something that MM could pull off in my opinion despite being the same body type and being both very feminine and glamourous (is it because of contrast?)
Yes you are correct. The difference would be in the contrast. Liz had extreme contrast. Fair skin, black hair, deep blue eyes, was killer with a red lip. Real life Snow White.
Yes, Elizabeth was Winter and Marilyn Spring in Seasonal Color Analysis
@@Rose-oo9gn Elizabeth also developed more of a signature look. Most notably her kaftan era :P her relationship with fashion was iconic throughout the years :)
Because of you I've finally started to love myself for who I am
Thank you ❤️
Isnt this such a blessing :)
I 'd like to let you know that the word you want to use is "childlike" or maybe "juvenile", not "childish". We use the word childish to say that someone is immature, for example. This is not supposed to be criticism, only a small correction. The video was great, just like all of your videos
no lets not correct these descriptive words. I am gamine and after a while, I realize dressing up in a youthful manner helps me. let's not police what we can and can use to describe stuff
@@shreeyasingh8948 childish doesn't mean youthful. It means immature, as I said. For instance, you can say "Your behavior is so childish, stop acting like that". Two synonyms for youthful are childlike and juvenile.
@@dxmetra6506 lol can we not an internet argument about this. Also you can use adjectives in different ways. Can we not be someone's word police. I'm not a native English speaker, and I think even the errors we have is charming. Child like = childish.
The best thing is to not describe grown women with any adjective including “child”. Gamines are absolutely not child like or juvenile. That’s a huge misconception.
I fully understand aly's message and I don't get picky about the wording
Can't wait for the other videos!! Brigitte Bardot would be great
Angelina Jolie as a Natural (S - maybe) as an example of someone who has evolved elegantly. I am a SN and I hate that all of the examples are of Boho goddesses. We can do lots of other styles.
Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly BUT in a modern and ACESSIBLE way
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for your videos xx
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s lovely when UA-cam content providers support one another.
Hi Audrey! Im also your subscriber😍😍😍 waiting for the collab of you and alyy✨
I would love to see princess diana style review !!!
i cant wait for the soft natural video !!! this video is great :)
Catherine Deneuve would be soooooo interesting!
I'm soo grateful for this video because I have exactly the same type of body like Audrey which I couldn't really indentify in the other body types series as FG. At the beginning of my kibbe-journey I thought I am dramatic classic or just classic (my hight is 169 cm) and tried to dress up like this. Soon I found out it's not working, I looked tired and boring, and just not my energy. Comparing to my friend who actually is dramatic classic, she looked much heavier than me. Thanks to Audrey I found out my type although I think we're the taller-slim version of FG when a bit different things work on us 🤗
My height is 169, so I've heard a million times I'm "probably not gamine", and I've had exactly the same experience. I spent years trying to dress for the wrong type and just feeling like my personality was being drowned by my outfits. And I think I watched Sabrina and noticed that my body mirrors Audrey's, and it changed everything for me.
I'd actually love to see a video on Marilyn Monroe..
Yesss!! Hey casual style, not the red carpet. That would be amazing 💜💖😘
Cindy Crawford, Julia Roberts, Barbara Streisand
She was so gorgeous. Who wouldn't want to look like her.
19:24 Love how she's wearing the left outfit, combining that boho, more loose cardigan with a fitted sweater underneath, so she maintains a lot of the gamine essence ❤️
Anyone here knows for Natural type ? I would also like women from the 40' and 50' bc my style is more "feminine and elegant" and i would like some inspo
Ingrid Bergman (FN), Betty Grable (SN), Rosalind Russell (FN), Lucille Ball (FN), Carole Lombard (N or SN), Jane Russell (FN), Jayne Mansfield (SN or FN)
@@marthamott1136 thank you so so much❤
You’re really pretty
@@elizabethblanford8569 omg you made my day 😢❤thank youu
Angelina Jolie, feminine and elegant
Thank you for this! Hope to see Elizabeth Taylor as well!
I second this!
I truly love your fashion ethnographies. Very thoughtful and interesting. Thank you❤💜
Dramatic classic please:) Diane Kruger or Nina Dobrev, Nina's style is very interesting.
I was thinking about her style these last couple of days... You're reading my mind!! Great video as always ;)
Joan Crawford as a Dramatic would be an interesting video. I believe Kibbe typed her as Dramatic, but she had a huge head, broad shoulders, and shortish arms, and she was about 5 feet 4 inches. I would love to hear Aly explain how Joan Crawford is a Dramatic! Because Joan did look great in Dramatic lines and looks! 🤞👏
I feel that Joan Collins and Tina Turner fit that description too! :)
Joan is tiny. Idk
I’m looking foreword to your Flamboyant Natural Icon video ❤️
The 60s style sunglasses are super fun and look really nice on gamines. I also have a vintage pair of cat eye frames from the late 50s which are amazing, they’re much smaller then you’d except but they look super cool!
Audrey Hepburn was underweight due to her family suffering hunger in war and started ballet dancing which is easier with a lighter frame. That explains her waistline.
She often said that but i believe it was her natural body type many dutch starved but aged to be quite stout
I have her exact body and went through nun of that lol, stop being jealous...
That's part of it, yes, but I think it was her bone structure as well.
I would suggest Cindy Crawford 😊
Thank you so much for this! Audrey was so special! 💕 Please do Brigitte Bardot too! 🥰
2:40 THIS (the picture on the right) IS WHAT HAS 100% CONVINCED ME I'm a Gamine! I HAVE THAT HIP TO WAIST RATIO! Even though I'm a slightly curvier gal myself, and I'm 5'4" which is the tall side of Gamine; I can still see that this is definitely my bone structure! I carry most of my fat around my waist and butt, but very little on my hips, making me look even more rectangular than most from the front, but softly curved from the side (telling me I'm probably a Soft Gamine). I have to wear mid-rise or low-waist jeans because they sit so nicely on my hipbones, as opposed to digging painfully into my flesh in the way high-waisted jeans do. I've been looking to Reese Witherspoon of late, seeinf how she pulls off a mid-waisted jean paired with a longer blouse which has waist definition. It gives the nice silhouette without the pain! Yay!
I tied my hair up with a comb clip and instantly looked boyish around my facial features. Not unattractive, but _definitely_ NOT lush like Marilyn Monroe, nor long and sharp like Cate Blanchett. I also don't have the bluntness of a Natural.
FINALLY I KNOW MY TYPE!!!!!!! THANK YOU ALY!!!!!!
Wow! What a great video. I want to say thank you for making these videos. I learned about Kibbe from you and after taking the quiz I learned I am a Gamine, leaning flamboyant, and have a pretty similar bone structure to Aubrey. Using what I learned in your videos I went thrift shopping for an outfit to wear to 2 weddings this summer and found 2 outfits, a silk blouse and palazzo pants and a structured body con dress with high collar. I have never felt so confident in a look before! So thank you! ❤️
First lady Jackie Onassis Kennedy please. Loved this Audrey video!
Would looove that too.. :-)
Please do about Grace Kelly as pure Classic! I love your videos, Aly! ❤
Brigitte Bardot please! I've seen some controversy on her kibbe type and I'm convinced she might be also a flamboyant gamine, what proves you can dress in a totally different style, as long as you respect your lines 🥰
Gamin doesn't mean teenage girl it means elvish. And her features are not childish. She had beautiful features. Her spirit was innocent, her features were stunning and feminine.
Yes! Elfish!!
Childish means young, not literally childish 😅 that's not an insult either nor a way to say she's was not beautiful, relax bruh!
A childlike face is a round face with big eyes, small nose and small chin. Close to the proportions that an actual baby's face will have, before it develops its bone structure fully. I would personally add that a wide forehead makes you look very childlike as well. And those are all features that Audrey had. No one says she didn't look feminine, or that she wasn't beautiful, she was all of those things, but there was an innocence to her features, present at the same time
Gamin literally means "child" in French.
I feel like this is a language barrier thing. I think was aly was trying to say was "youthful"
I’m loving this series! I love your choices so far! Excited to see your Marilyn Monroe video!
Yay! I suggested this. I can't believe you did it :D!
I'm so happy to have find your channel, your worrk is amazing !
I would love for an example for Naturals, more inspiration apart from sporty clothes and bohemian clothing...
I love your series Aly. Although I'm not a fan of the description of gamine as 'teenage girl', because teenage girls also come in all 12 body types.
Aly you look particularly stunning in this video!❤️
Hi Aly, I love this series and really appreciate your research and analysis. I’m not fussed about the varying opinions about the types - what I enjoy is your analysis of the evolution of the person’s styles, the elements that come together to create a signature style, adapting to trends, what works on that person based on their personality and body.. Thank you so much! As for a suggestion: I’ll throw Doris Day into to mix.
17:08 I absolutely love her hair in these pictures, with the long(ish) hair and no fringe 😮😍😍
(At least in those pictures)
Rita Hayworth!!!!!!!!!!!
My picks for best-dressed celebs of each type:
SC: Catherine Deneuve, Naomi Watts, Carice Van Houten, Juliette Binoche, Dakota Johnson
N: Meghan Markle
SN: Aishwarya Rai
TR: Jada Pinkett, Salma Hayek, Eva Green (looks GREAT in TR clothes)
SD: Rachel Weisz
Etc
D: Tilda Swinton, Tao Okamoto, Liya Kebede, Amal Clooney, Tina Chow
DC: Zoe Saldana, Rooney Mara, Olivia Munn
SN: Carey Mulligan, Helen Mirren
FN: Paulina Poriszkova, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron, Lizzo
R: Elle Fanning
C: Zhang Ziyi, Lupita Nyongo, Rosamund Pike
FG: Vanessa Paradis, Olivia Cooke, Lisa Bonet
G: Audrey Tautou
Finally! I've been waiting for this one! Thank you so much for your content!
Off topic but I love your makeup here!!! Wouldn't mind a new makeup tutorial from you ❤️
I think I'm a Soft Natural, based on what some women were saying in a comment thread about their bodies, but still not certain what type I am. If I could be ANY type, I'd choose Gamine--I love the fun, quirky, childlike, and playful looks they can pull off, and they NEVER have to worry about being too full anywhere. It's like dressing a mannequin or Barbie. Playing dress-up would be SO fun!
Your hair looks great. Much respect...
I think Marlene Dietrich would be really interesting!
Me too..
Yes. For..dramatic?
@@HumanimalChannel I see her as a classic.
@@trixi1608 I think there is that slight contrast still rather than blend, with soft cheeks, and sharp chi for example but i think, even though we don't see her in full, the she will have a balanced body but maybe shorter than classic. Kibbe deleted the pure natural classic and gamine, but I still think they exist. I am very curious to see how Aly types herself! She does still wear some gamine clothing with graphic design but they still feel more soft than flamboyant.. just to me.
So,
I'm going soft classic. Everyone is their own person if course and it's fun to play with our look. I'm stunned how good alylooked as Kate and Monica.
There is a Naomi watts vibe
I would love to see a whole video on aly's type and style but I think there's something to be said for keeping some privacy.
But we are all waiting with baited breath for the "big reveal"!
3:30 just look at Audrey's toned abs and arms!!!!
Yes, I found it very interesting, considering the time...
Right?! She could be a fitness model today! She was so darn cute but also powerful.
I disagree, she's not toned. She seems to have a low body weight which just makes muscles (we all have) visible. There isn't much arms, glutes or hamstrings mass here (look up "audrey hepburn st.tropez beach"). I just want to point out how we often think thinness and low bodyfat% = being ripped, which is problematic. She is beautiful regardless.
I was JUST thinking out this thank u sooo much did u read my mind or smth??
request you to do one video on the INCREDIBLE-MONICA BELLUCCI (Italian actress, malena girl)
For the pure Dramatic video I really hope you do Lauren Bacall, she's my style icon!!
Perfect when the video started to draw some comparison to icons of other body types, really helpful as we (I) usually have difficulty noticing the difference among the style icons --- this tends to be the case for me whenever I look at pics of people really know how to dress and look harmonious. Stylish people know how to take pieces not common for their body type, but tailor it and or find exceptional pieces that work well with them.
I need a flamboyant natural like Charlize Theron especially when they gained weight!
I would like you to surprise me with the choice of Theatrical Romantic style icon. I am thinking Ann-Margret, Vivien Leigh, Hedy Lamarr... I really don't have any idea who would be the best example as an style icon for TR body type.
I’m a punk goth Flamboyant gamine. Bald or big outrageous wigs, harem pants, etc but I incorporate the black monochromatic looks or full skirts, pencil skirts she does. Huge balloon sleeves really look great on me or chiseled angles. Hepburn uses lots of geometry and proportions I have incorporated into my style too.
Thankyou for making these videos...I'm so glad youre still doing this for us! Thanks t9 you I worked out Soft Natural works for me and it's made things so much easier.
Excellent video Aly!, could you do Brigitte Bardot as example of SG in one of your next videos, Marilyn Monroe as R and Joan Collins as TR?
Can't wait for Dramatic Classic!
love these series!!!!!
ANGELINA JOLIE for natural or soft natural. Still thinking who else for naturaals 🤔
please do a video for Dramatic Classic. Maybe Diana Riggs or Jacquelyn Kennedy
First thing:
Aly you look stunning! Sooo beautiful! Just amazing!
Second:
I adore Audrey and want to thank you for this video. Great work!
I would like to see Meryl Streep next, because I think she is different and don't fits in a category.
Thanks for all you do, Aly!
Love from Germany, Sabine 😘
Hi Sabine, weißt du deinen Body type? Ich noch nicht ganz.... hättest du Lust, dich auf deutsch mit mir über Kibbe auszutauschen? Gruß aus Berlin.
Please do Dramatic Classic. These are so hard to find.
Bette Davis and Claudette Colbert would interest me too.
And Jane Birkin.
Hi Aly, for Naturals i vote for 'Angelina Jolie', for Soft Natural 'Chloe Sevigny', for Dramatic Classic 'Olivia Munn, for Classic 'Grace Kelly', for Soft Classic 'Naomi Watts'. Aly, you have a big heart! Greetings from Germany.
Hello Aly,
I love following you!
I feel I have a Flamboyant Gamine body with a softer, more Soft Gamine face ( sweet, playful), even though I am a mature woman. Would I dress more for Flamboyant Gamine? I love Audrey Hepburns style.
Thanks for what you do. 💕
You look so beautiful with that lipstick color. I learned so manythings from your videos. I send you all the ❤ from Algeria. 😘
I’m a gamine/soft gamine but am very interested in your style guide featuring Catherine Deneuve, Françoise Dorléac, and Jane Birkin!
Another suggestion: Judy Garland.
@@alp5260 Think so too..
Loved this!! Thank you.
Thanks for this ! Can you do a video on short necks ?
Rita Hayworth, Jackie Kennedy, Angie Harmon
Plis a video from Shira Haas or IU. Or another a gammine. Gammines we do exist!
I heard the opinion that IU is a TR on a subreddit... idk is it true or not but I can give you a link on their analysis if you're interested !!
@@kelv5754 omg really? Yes please tahg would be very interesting
IU is ingenue. It doe not exist in kibbe but if ingenue exist in the sistem, she would be(small round circular shapes, because she looks very young and does not have the mature look that romantics have,or angularity that gamines have) this in Mcjimsey sistem.
Salma Hayek for Theatrical Romantic!
Love this series xx
after joining the SK group & the subreddits, i’ve began to wonder if Aly was a more petite soft natural! she looks divine in tousled hair, and her bones look blunt to me, even her facial bones. SN lines seem to look good on her too 💗
I love this series. Similar series, but with current (last 5-10 years??) style icons. The pinterest boards help because we can apply suggestions to our own Kibbe types. I'd love to see princess Diana too! FN??
You are so pretty, Aly
Loved this!!!❤️
Please do dramatic classic next!
can you do a video on jennifer love hewitt, she looks very curvy yet is a flamboyant gamine, i'm curious about her clothes and outfits
костюм = suit, not costume.
:) Love, love, love your work.
great video but too bad you didn't talk about audrey in the 1980s. she aged so beautifully flew around the world for unicef and had many great style moments then..
I think Audrey is actually a dramatic classic, they can have a lot in common with FG. Unfortunately the are overlooked and many people think being a classic type just means you have to wear very plain clothes.
If she was a dramatic classic, she wouldn't have looked so youthful, even like a teenager, into her thirties. A dramatic classic also probably would have looked really off with that small fringe.
@@angelacuria3357 hah check out DC Courteney Cox in Scream 3 for some unfortunate baby bangs 😂
@@angelacuria3357 I think some of her young look is because she was extremely malnourished during the war and thus is a bit underdeveloped.
@@angelacuria3357 Oh stop it with the “gamines look like teenagers”. They don’t. Audrey just have ingenue.
@@nectarina3891 That might be true. She definitely had a waif-like figure. In that case, I would argue that maybe she would have become a different body type under normal circumstances and healthy nutrition. That's just my opinion though :).
Ann-Margret for TR, I think she is more representative of this subtype than Salma Hayek. Also NOT Viviene Leigh as her clothes didn't have the same variety.
Despite the fact that audrey is a flamboyant gamine, i think alot of her clothes would also look rly good on soft gamines too. Alot of blocking, color blocking, etc
love your videos
love your videos ❤
I am a Flamboyant Gamine, but I'm much more curvy. However I have a long neck and big eyes like Audrey, and recently started wearing a fringe. Ever since, I tend to buy 60s clothing and straight jeans like a freak :))
Please do any Dramatic Classic!
Can’t wait for an video on Dramatics 🤩
Linda Evangelista would be a good choice, I think, because she has a more feminine look.
