I look like a total boy 😂 It makes all my angles and sharp forms to sTaNd oUt so much. A "less girly" makeup makes me look surprisingly more "feminine".
This is my favourite phrase from the video, haha. So do I. I feel more feminine in hoodies and trousers. I understood it several years ago but hadn't been understanding why for years 😁 now it's clear
I am also FG But I have the most yin in my face lol.... Merriam typed me having romantic (Ying) facial features along with inuenge and ethereal essence..so i kinda can wear Romantic outfits, and romantic makeup suits me more but FG outfits are to die for😩
You really put it into words about not necessarily feeling the most feminine in flowery, frilly clothing. It makes me feel like I'm in drag tbh, even though I like the style it just makes me feel self-conscious about how it doesn't suit me. But I feel awesome in my dungarees 🤷
@@franibeard yes I relate so hard and always thought I was crazy or had gender dysphoria but I honestly feel the most feminine and beautiful when I dress more boyish, and I feel like a crossdresser when I try to look glamorous

Growing up, Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy were two of the style icons I emulated and I’ve always been drawn to more structured clothes. When I came across the Kibbe body types, I was so validated in my style choices. Thank you for sharing your style journey and for providing so many tips. I’m excited to learn even more style elements that are flattering for flamboyant gamines. 💕
The floral dress is exactly how i look in dresses. It just looks frumpy and not right on me!! I just figured out im a FG after a year-long Kinbe journey, so i am definitely excited!! 🤩
I’m 5’3” & I have a flamboyant gamine body type, and a monochrome fitted look is my absolute go-to. It’s definitely what I feel most feminine and sensual in 😊 I feel like it elongates my figure and enhances the parts I love
Just wanted to share my experience. A while back in my country there was a trend of girls my age (early 20s age group) wearing like a camisole or bodysuit tucked into high waisted jeans. I loved the way it made them look...like mature and womanly, so ofc I tried it and was so disappointed cuz I just looked like a childish rectangle 🤦🏽♀️ I never tried tucking in my tops after that lol. Now, armed with my Kibbe knowledge, I realise that it was because those girls were CURVY and I am not. It really opened my eyes to how our body type impacts how our clothes look on us. Like I said, I only realised this other day when I was trying to dress to my FG lines. Turns out a tucked in top, bloused over looks amazing on me. If you're an FG definitely look into tops with a boxy silhouette, or create one by tucking in and blousing over. It's magic 😄
I totally feel this! Anytime I wear a camisole or t-shirt now, it's tucked and bloused to create a squarish shape at my waist. Works wonders. Thanks for sharing your experience!
The tucking in of my tops has given me my figure back!!! I love it!!! My daughter dresses like you. She is probably soft gamine. I'm really liking that high-waisted look on myself. My legs seem two inches longer! I'm trying to not wear the long-tailed cardigans and find boxy, squarish shaped ones now. Prices in Goodwill have increased. Sigh!!!! I finally figured out my style and now I can't buy much.... I picked up three graphic tees today. One of these is cropped-- and it looks perfect on my 52 year old body, lol!!!
That happened to me with baggy jeans! I always wanted to pull them off. I had a friend that used to wear baggy jeans and long baggy shirts or sweaters and looked to cool cause it suited her. Then I would look like the clothes were swallowing me whole. It did nothing for me.
I just learned I'm a Gamine body type and yes I also feel comfortable in turtlenecks and trousers. There's just something about wearing manly clothing that feels right. I have always felt drawn to breaking the lines in my outfits and now everything makes sense. Thank you❤️.
I am an enfp. I can really see how you being an infp lines up with your style. Me, personally, as a gamine and enfp feel like being a gamine gives me the best opportunity to show off my personality through patterns and color blocking. My skin likes beige and tan and apricot neutrals but it always looke off on me. It doesn't match the high energy I give off when you first meet me and it tends to throw people off... Currently on the process of trying to make my lines, colors and personality meet. Which means loke high patterns pants and skirts with like even colored tops that maybe lean more pastel. (I am a dark skin girl, darker than you, maybe olive toned btw). It's a struggle when I realized I loved bright colors but they just washed me out... TT Also currently trying to grow put my hair to Bob length (I have an afro, 4c hair). It's a struggle. I don't look my best with my close cut hair). Anyway, thanks for this video. It really helps me out. :)
You make some beautiful connections here. Thanks for sharing! Hope you have fun on your style journey. It seems like you're making important discoveries.
I am a gamine and understanding that I am a gamine has definitely helped me figuring out why most clothing looks terrible on me. A challenge for me remains how to dress for winter :) Finding suitable sweaters for my shape to match my jeans is SO HARD for me
@@franibeard i think for me the challenge is that I find it hard to find high quality cropped winter sweaters/cardigans/jumpers. It's harder to find gamine stuff for winter I think. At least for me
found out im a soft gamine and omg im an infp tooo - great practical tips your style reminded me of how i dress naturally and after going down the kibbe rabbithole i literally have believed i am the soft type of every typE atelast once now and that made me buy dresses like the one at 7:50 and omg the disappointment but thank u for helping me make use of them with your tips !
Holla at my fellow INFP!! I get you girl! This video was so helpful! I'm REALLY struggling to work my Soft gamine shape into my style as I love neutrals and I'm obsessed with minimal style but that goes against everything a soft gamine should do lol!
Great job in simplifying it ! My default is a high waisted , grey, flared, cropped jean with buttons showing, ankle chunky boots and a turtle neck. If it's cold I'll add a bright pattern sweater and tuck it in so I don't cover the buttons. And as I listened to you, I was like: yeah, check, check, check! No wonder it works. oh! and usually colorful socks that show a bit between the boot and the jean. I get lot's of compliments and my non-gamine friends always say: I would look like a clown if I wore that !
I don't know which gamine type I am but I'm definitely one of them. I have a more yin face, yin hair, long and bony yang legs, arms, and hands, short yin torso and defined waist, and I'm 5'5 in height. I'm new to Kibbe and it makes so much sense. My go to style staple has always been a high waisted skirt. Or straight high waisted pants with a chunky belt and a feminine top or sweater.
I know I must be a gamine but not sure whether I'm soft or flamboyant. But I discovered a couple of years ago that I look so much more put together wearing sundresses with a button-down shirt over (instead of a cardigan or shrug) with shirt tied at waist, sleeves rolled up & collar sharp. Contrast of angles up top contrasted with the softer line below echoes my body (sharper up top & a-hem softer down below) 😊
I love that you talk about how personal style connects to mental health and other more ephemeral, deep things. :D Thank you for these great examples and all this information!
Very helpful. I’ve been mistyping as a flamboyant gamine for awhile when in fact I’m at a dramatic classic. Because DC is also color blocked, and because your style is simple and understated, it translates. Most of your outfits would fit a DC if you were to change the hemlines to flatter a taller woman and balance the proportions of the top and bottom elements.
@@franibeard It's confusing! a friend turned me on to you because we look alike at first glance. But I'm a couple inches taller and when you break down your answers, you've got more contrast. It can take a minute to find the right type!
@@franibeard me too! I feel like I'm also just a more balanced FG, which makes me look better in a bit more understated, less "crazy" looks than the stereotypical FG looks.
Love the t shirt over the floral dress! For me I tend to stick to structured pants and a sweater. I tend to avoid very fitted clothing and thin material. I just have so much Yang in my body it doesn’t look great to wear tight clothes even though that is recommended for gamines. Since I have a bit of broadness( natural) in my upper body I can get away with a bit of oversized tops. I feel the same way in “feminine” clothes. I feel like I’m wearing a costume.
Thank you for this video and all the tips! I finally figured out I’m a soft gamine today and all the outfit tips you said make so much sense!! I thought of all my favorite outfits and what I feel the best and most feminine in, and those are the ones you talked about such as breaking the lines, color blocking, high neck shirts etc. I subconsciously gravitate those. Then I thought about what kind of clothes don’t feel right or feel flattering on me, and it was similar to the outfits you talked about at the end. PS. I’m a INFP too!
My go to outfit: crop top (or tucked in top) with hight waist straight leg trousers. Most of the times the top has a high neckline and short or 3/4 sleeves. I add sneakers or my Dr Martens. I wear a slightly oversized wool blazercoat overneath, or a long straight line black leather coat (90s vintage). In the winter I most often wear an oversized or loosfitted knitted sweater with a pair of skinny suede trousers (real leather so they keep me warm) and my doctor martens with a warm ski-like jacket that is also a straight-lined . In the summer I wear sleeveless crop tops with a square neckline, V neckline or high neck line with high waisted but loose fitted shorts. Or I wear a fitted minidress with high neckline. I pair my summer outfits with some simpel leather strap sandels. I have a loose blazer or a vintage 70s slightly oversized striped denim jacket.
I am petite but I absolutely love love long flowy dresses but of course it doesn't suit me. I'll still wear them tho but now I do want to know the best oyfits for my body type!
I love cropping or three quartering sleeve and pants ! also the tight / loose top bottom contrast. color blocking and gold or rose gold jewlery is the best for me ! I also have long hair that is pretty thick and wavy and I wlays put it in a specific dutch braids into low bun do and pull out my baby hair bc it curls in the front. its such a good flamgam hairstyle. but for me as long as my hair is pulled away at least a little bit from my face I can also pull of gamine looks with my hair down.
my default outfit is a tied oversized t shirt & skinny jeans--so I guess i've been doing something right all along !! pretty sure i'm a flamboyant gamine as well (reddit certainly thought so lol). also INFP squad !!!
The "opposites in silhouette" and "tight fitting" + something long and loose (eg a scarf) modes have always been my styles. I was lucky to have happened upon my flamboyant gamine style long before I knew what it was. But it's so validating to hear that that's officially what I "should" be wearing.
Thank you for showing the dress and the difference the sweater/tee makes! I'm stuck between soft classic and soft gamine and that may help me distinguish better! I'm also an INFP, but thought I was an INFJ for a long time. Hmm maybe indecision is a pattern with me 😅
I am also wondering about soft classic vs soft gamine for me. And I am an INFJ for sure. Did you ever figure out the classic vs the gamine? I seem soft classic except I am 5'1". I don't like loud contrast and color blocking, I do like to dress in menswear (love waistcoats!) if I can find things small enough (or if I sew them myself). The suggestions of using contrast of line and texture is interesting and helpful. Can you address hair? I've always like messy wavy hair but mine is fairly fine and straight. Right now it's elbow-length and I'm wondering if this drags me down? I look awful in a pixie or even really short bobs. Seems most gamines have short hair?
@@SHines-qk9qj I'm still not totally sure, to be honest, but I lean heavily toward soft gamine, as it seems I have a straighter bone structure but softer flesh. I'm 5'3", so I'm right at the bottom of the height range. I've also turned down the volume quite a bit on my contrast and color blocking to avoid feeling overwhelmed or washed out, since I gave rather soft coloring. I wear my hair at shoulder length. It's very fine, and slightly wavy (the kind that ends up looking frizzy if I'm not careful). I prefer the slightly longer length on me. I've had a few very cute short hair cuts, and while they were nice and I got compliments, they didn't really feel authentic/natural to me. Longer than that looks more unkempt on me. I prefer soft waves over straight hair, but I rarely heat style so I usually am just going with my natural texture.
@@nataliefbehler Thanks you for your response! I find with my long hair I need to have it styled, like in a braid or a bun. No heat styling here either. I have soft coloring too. It's fun to exchange ideas!
@@SHines-qk9qj agreed! You might also look into John Kitchener's style essences. I have had some success with some ethereal/angelic styling, which I think fills the picture in more a little for our type of soft gamineishness. I'm 5'3", and though it's said that ethereal are often tall, I think it may be the elongated S shape that helps us out.
8:39 omg this is what I've always felt like 🤧 this just made me even more sure of the fact that I'm agamine. I thought I was a soft natural but someone commented i might bea soft gamine
8:17 That actually looked great on you! You should definitely rock that. Idk if you remember my past comments to you about sneakers, but...YES! Told ya that sneakers are a FG’s bff! Keep it up. Love to see how your channel is growing.
What a great video. Now I understand what breaking the line means. I am 5’1 and curvy: romantic body type. I love the gamine style though and am envious of your yang. You dress so well and have such good style. Stay warm in that snowy weather - it looks cold out there (through your window).
In the part of the video where you wear the clothes that you feel do not suit you because there isn’t a broken line.... the “sage” dress.... when you put the dark, high-necked T-shirt on and knotted it at the waist ... and wore it with the converse-type sneaks... THAT WORKED for you!!! It was super cute on your frame like that and if you wore your hair down with that look, you would look gamine/boho/street style. A very personal style.... super cute for a change of look-but still “me” day.
Yes! Thank you! That was one of my attempts to create a broken line with that dress. I definitely think a change in hairstyle would add a bit more of my personality to the mix.
Fellow Infp here ☺️! Yes- my default settings also involves whatever makes me feel like a little pantsless fey child. My fave way to break up my lines is crop tops, shorter pants and deep vs. I also consider myself very femme but whenever I wear something too ruffled or stereotypically “womanly” I feel like I’m playing dress up. High heeled pumps make me feel like I’m 13 years old all over again and trying to look grown 😂 I feel my most feminine when I play up my silhouette and add something chunky- like fitted cropped pants, a bottom up tied at the waist and a pair of boots.
Thank you for showing different styles, I always have difficulty to understand about blocking lines and things like that, I'm not fluent, so I'm learning English, and usually we don't learn those fashion terms, but I'm trying to know how to dress myself better, is good to have someone as an inspiration.
Can you do some examples for skinny blue jean looks for soft gamine? I am a preschool teacher wanting to incorporate more colors, while honoring my soft gamine body type. 😊
You could maybe make that sage dress a minidress, that would look better on you, though it looks cool with a t-shirt overneath BTW I'm an INFP as well :)
You REALLY know how to dress your body type! Your outfits look amazing! Wow. Also, thanks for sharing your wardrobe with examples of neutral colors while still honoring your gamine shape! For gamines, so far I have only seen bright ass colors! Bold crazy prints! Basically look like a pop art painting! And that’s noooooooot my style lol
This was so helpful! I’m a soft gamine but my personal style is very simple. So I’ve never really been drawn to a lot of the loud prints that I see recommended for gamines. I love how simple your suggestions are!
(7:34) It's gorgeous (the dress) and YOU are gorgeous in it. No need to cover it up or change it: "If it's not broken... " (etc). The addition of a tee-shirt ... ugh (and "Why?")... just makes it look as if you haven't a clue.
I think both dresses looked super good on you ... so we can look good even when we dont wear our lines. I think the second dress looked good because of the asymmetrical skirt
Ooo interesting to notice that. And you're right! A lot of different outfits can look good, which is where how you ~feel~ when you wear your clothes comes into play.
wonderful video, thank you so much for putting this together, it makes so much sense!! And I totally echo your struggle with feminine dressing, and the weird fact that often dresses just don't feel right!! bring on the turtle neck and cropped pants!
i'm not a FG but i really like the way you explain these, i'm SD and i kinda wish i was FG tho bc it gives off fun and stylish vibes, might recommend it to my sister who's either FG/D. also fellow INFP 🙌
"I feel like I should dress more feminine, I am a woman. But then when I wear those feminine lines, I look more masculine". This is literally the gamine experience in a nutshell. Its such a confusing paradox. "Masculine" pieces actually make make me look more feminine. I chopped my hair into a short, boyish pixie and my features have never looked softer or more feminine. Being a gamine is so strange. Styling is so so different, and fun, and confusing, and strange.
@@YumeraChauque I can't tell if I am FG or SG. I have the wide shoulders in comparison to my hips, yet narrow. My thighs are round enough that when I put my knees together my ankles and feet can't touch. My face has roundness, but also angularity that I can't really tell which I am. To boot I am not busty whatsoever unless pregnant or nursing 😅 At this point all I am sure of is that I am in the gamine family coming in at 5'3.
@@angelicagrills7123 well,if you can't decide if you are a a FG or SG maybe you are in the midle, the most important is that you know in which family you are, then add softness or angularity if you need it. I am not sure if I am G or FG, I just know I am not SG,nevertheless I can pull of yin things, but it needs to be cute, unlike romantic. Some SG people(if you wanna see the patterns and compare yourself with) : missDarcei, Petitedressing(Chi Li),Elyssa, Octavia Spencer, Larissa Manuela, etc. You can compare yourself with some of them ,and ,see what looks best on you.
Also an INFP and neurodivergent, so I have a lot of sensory preferences I need to follow too for comfort. It’s been a struggle finding comfortable things that fit me well.
You could wear your black dress with a giant funky retro belt and a bold color wide ankle boot. It would feel more balanced with minimal shaping added. And your other dress should go with a leather jacket and chunky boots imo.. have the main pieces of your outfits be more masculine, with feminine accents 👌
I was wondering if I was a gamine type considering I'm plus sized (a small plus size at a 14 but still) and this video confirmed it. I have large breasts so people often told me don't wear turtlenecks but I feel I look great in turtlenecks and trousers. I realized I do a lot of things you mentioned unconsciously lol. Ever since I discovered high waisted pants in middle school, I have never returned. I own a bunch of cropped sweaters and cropped turtlenecks and also feel more feminine in traditionally "masculine" clothes.
INTJ and gamine. Give me those structured cropped pants, and a high neck line with three quarter sleeves, and clogs with simple jewelry. I never comment but this was just so so so dang accurate I couldn’t help myself.
Fellow INFP here.. ;-) I'm a soft gamine and in winter I try to break the line by wearing jean shorts with tights in a different colour for example. I like the summer best too and love to run around in shorts and a T-Shirt - sooo uncomplicated..
I never used to think I fitted gamine because I have quite big boobs and butt (for my size) but the rest of my body can be quite angular, specially my shoulders, wrists and hands. I just noticed that I love the big pants (usually some sort of cullete trouser) + tiny top combo or a straight midi skirt with a tiny top also. However, I feel like I lean more soft gamine and tend to prefer quite low v necklines over high necklines - maybe due to my bust size, high necks make me feel like I'm suffocating. Also, I'm currently wearing a all black midi dress but it is quite fitted to my body on the top and has a low neckline and I feel like it looks very nice on me. I'm stuck on what type I am but yeah, soft gamine seems to be it.
I disagree in the best possible way about that sage dress. I think ya beautiful on you and the synched waist breaks the line a little bit and the high low shows your long legs. Wearing it with more gamine accessories would make it look flawless on you. I sometimes think us seeing ourselves as too masculine is in our perception comparing us to curvier women.
Thanks for your perspective! It's such a beautiful dress, and it has some elements that I enjoy. It's not that I see myself as masculine, just I don't feel as feminine in that dress compared to how I feel in other silhouettes. Thanks for seeing the beauty in it though! Love your ideas.
I avoided so many of your videos earlier just for no reason. Now that I hve seen you, heard you. You are very gorgeous and appealing. Just loved what you talked. I could relate to it a lot. ❤️ Much love to you :))
I love love LOOOVE your channel! I’ve been having ‘eureka’ moments with any and all of your FG videos! All of sudden my looks that instinctively felt right/wrong (but I didn’t understand why) now have a clear rationale - thank you for the videos and the education! This resonates with me so much, down to the detail of feeling feminine in a turtleneck and trousers 😅 I am an ESFJ and like to break my lines with bright colours. For so long I’ve tried to build a wardrobe with a neutral colour palette to add more elegance and polish, but I just can’t keep away from bright burst of colour 😄 one QUESTION please - is a waist belt a good way to break the line?? Judging by the video - maybe not... why not? Thank you, sending you lots of love and good vibes xx
The bright colors are a great choice! I love that you follow what makes you feel lovely. As for the belt question, I think belts are a fine idea for breaking the line. I just don't do it personally, so I wasn't thinking about it. But yes, you can use a contrasting belt or even a patterned belt to create a line break where your body calls for one.
Belts are great, but i keep mine quite thin ; i have a short torso so if they are too big its too disproportionate and makes me look like i have "boobs on a shelf..." haha
I wonder if that black dress would work with some corset-style top over it? Not sure if that’s the look you’re going for, but I thought I’d mention it 😊
Heres one for you. I look my best in flamboyant gamine lines. But I'm almost 5,8" I'm a mixture of B and D on the kibbe test, so possible gamine. But my height hints I might be a natural, but I look horiffic in draped oversized lines.
Hi dear! Dramatic classic here, and I love wearing flamboyant gamine lines too. I don't know if the reason is my head/face (which I think is more gamine/teenager-ish), but I look like a boring, muted girl with DC lines. FG makes me really shine ✨
I typed myself as TR but when I posted to a group asking what they thought, they told me I fit FG. So I think it’s interesting how we both went for that specific style of dress - the creamy, small floral pattern in your second example. I have a dress that is the exact same length, a slight wrap style, the v-neck with the wrap style, the ribbon to tie on the side, the short sleeves! I love it but it’s not *perfect* lol I’m gonna try those alterations where you break the line!!
I am not a gamin but I love your videos and your style. So unique and beautiful. Do you know of a UA-camr who makes videos like yours for naturals? Thanks!
I wear a lot of loose (usually solid) dresses with tight (fun printed) leggings. I am wondering if that fits with the opposites trick. The dresses are above knee - do dresses still work with breaking the line?
Do any of you know of any brands that are super high waisted? Cus im a fg with a long torso and shorter legs and arms, which results in most high waisted things ending under my actual waist and not on it
I have a pair from OZMA that work beautifully for my high rise. (You can use my affiliate code if you'd like- FRANI15) I've also seen super high rise pants from Jesse Kamm and Agolde, but I've never tried them. And lastly, I've found some at Target in the "juniors" section that hit just above my bellybutton which is quite impressive for a mainstream store/brand. I hope this helps!
I’m still on my Kibbe journey and trying to figure out if I am in the Natural, Romantic, or Gamine family (which sounds crazy honestly), BUT…… I’m also an INFP and I vibe 100% with wanting to be barefoot all the time. it’s just better
Personally, i think the long dress suits you... Idk y i think this way.. But i think when the light fabric touches your body (and mine too) when we wear it and walk, i can see my curves. Though my hip bone is not rounded but the clinching caused by the waist (though dropped) show my bones so well, i like this when I walking and looking at my own thighs, which I always do 😂🙈 fellow gamine.
I am only 158 or 160.i have small hands and feet. I have big wide face. High cheekbones. I have slightly big burst but not very wide shoulders. I have a strong belly. I get weight on my belly first and my boobs and my back and my face. I dont know what type I can be. TR, SN, or SG. I have strong nose and soft small lips. I have moderate eyes. Slightly Archy eyebrows.

TT
Also currently trying to grow put my hair to Bob length (I have an afro, 4c hair). It's a struggle. I don't look my best with my close cut hair).
Anyway, thanks for this video. It really helps me out. :)
You make some beautiful connections here. Thanks for sharing! Hope you have fun on your style journey. It seems like you're making important discoveries.
Oh a fellow INFP ✌🏻☺️
I feel the same with overly feminine looks on me (dramatic classic)
Yay INFP squad 🙌
INFP supremacy
INFP Soft Dramatic here ❤
INFP theatrical romantic 🥰
@@a28-i9m I’m the same as you!
I am a gamine and understanding that I am a gamine has definitely helped me figuring out why most clothing looks terrible on me. A challenge for me remains how to dress for winter :) Finding suitable sweaters for my shape to match my jeans is SO HARD for me
I'll definitely have to make a video about styling winter clothes when the time comes.
@@franibeard i think for me the challenge is that I find it hard to find high quality cropped winter sweaters/cardigans/jumpers. It's harder to find gamine stuff for winter I think. At least for me
same :-)😊
I love the way you added t-shirt over the second example dress you showed; i think it looks so good on you!!
An INFP here as well 👻 I'm a soft gamine and my college bestfriend always loved a turtleneck plus trousers outfit for me. Content is on point 💯
found out im a soft gamine and omg im an infp tooo - great practical tips your style reminded me of how i dress naturally and after going down the kibbe rabbithole i literally have believed i am the soft type of every typE atelast once now and that made me buy dresses like the one at 7:50 and omg the disappointment but thank u for helping me make use of them with your tips !
Holla at my fellow INFP!! I get you girl! This video was so helpful! I'm REALLY struggling to work my Soft gamine shape into my style as I love neutrals and I'm obsessed with minimal style but that goes against everything a soft gamine should do lol!
Infj!! Here
Me two
Great job in simplifying it !
I think the sage dress looks Good on you without any additions!
I've been watching a lot of Kibbe videos and this one has been the most succinct and practical! thank you Looking forward to more videos.
I myself a gamine, infp .. nice to meet you ❤
I appreciate the Meyers Briggs input, cause I’m obsessed, also you’re so cute 🥺😭 my gosh, I’m a gamine INFJ btw
I absolutely relate to not feeling feminine in overly feminine clothes or even makeup. I think its why i leaned towards alternative fashion
Yes! Good points. I thought I was dramatic classic for a minute when I first discovered Kibbe.
Ooo good advice for your flavor of FG. Love a good sweater + structured pants combo too.
Gorgeous looks! There's some great inspiration here. Thanks for sharing!
This explains why I'm so obsessed with turtle necks 😂
I am petite but I absolutely love love long flowy dresses but of course it doesn't suit me. I'll still wear them tho but now I do want to know the best oyfits for my body type!
Me, too: INFP. I am a 66-y-o soft gamine. Love your videos and your style. Very helpful even though I am a 'soft.'
Love this! The hairstyle you described was the same look I did for my wedding. It's such a pretty way to frame the face.
my default outfit is a tied oversized t shirt & skinny jeans--so I guess i've been doing something right all along !! pretty sure i'm a flamboyant gamine as well (reddit certainly thought so lol). also INFP squad !!!
The "opposites in silhouette" and "tight fitting" + something long and loose (eg a scarf) modes have always been my styles. I was lucky to have happened upon my flamboyant gamine style long before I knew what it was. But it's so validating to hear that that's officially what I "should" be wearing.
My default is high rise jeans with a crop top. Definitely with two different colors!
I’m an INFP fg too 😁😁
Thank you for showing the dress and the difference the sweater/tee makes!
Oh, and I am 69years old. So the "little girl" or "little boy" stuff just seems artificial now.
I do remember that!! That sent me on a hunt for some sneakers I actually enjoy. And you were so right! Thanks!
@@franibeard No problem! Anytime.
High heeled pumps make me feel like I’m 13 years old all over again and trying to look grown 😂
I feel my most feminine when I play up my silhouette and add something chunky- like fitted cropped pants, a bottom up tied at the waist and a pair of boots.
Yesss I relate. You have such a cool look. Love seeing your makeup and outfits.
@@franibeard Aww thank you friend 🥰
Thank you for showing different styles, I always have difficulty to understand about blocking lines and things like that, I'm not fluent, so I'm learning English, and usually we don't learn those fashion terms, but I'm trying to know how to dress myself better, is good to have someone as an inspiration.
Glad it was helpful for you!
Can you do some examples for skinny blue jean looks for soft gamine? I am a preschool teacher wanting to incorporate more colors, while honoring my soft gamine body type. 😊
You could maybe make that sage dress a minidress, that would look better on you, though it looks cool with a t-shirt overneath
BTW I'm an INFP as well :)
INFP squad! I totally agree about making it a mini-dress. I think about altering it all the time because I love the sage color so much.
Replace the tie on the floral dress with strong contrast color. Trim the edges with the same color.
INFP here!! Also maybe FG?? I've definitely struggled with feeling feminine in frilly clothing, any bow or cutesy thing looks awful on me
I think you look great no matter what you wear 😊 and you rocked the outfit at about 8:15
So sweet! Thank you!
I'm an SG and I live in waist belts to help break up the outfit and give waist definition. Most of the vintage dresses I've made are color blocked.
Styling is so so different, and fun, and confusing, and strange.
would it be okay for a flamboyant gamine to wear round shape patterns like florals and polka dots or do I have to give them up? 😅
I am a FG and I wear florals and polka dots patterns. But my face is yin tho soo just experiment.
Great video! You look really pretty.. definitely will steal some of your looks
FINALLY AN ACTUAL GUIDE THANK YOU 😭💕
Also an INFP and neurodivergent, so I have a lot of sensory preferences I need to follow too for comfort.
So relatable! So glad you took the time to share!
Fellow INFP here.. ;-) I'm a soft gamine and in winter I try to break the line by wearing jean shorts with tights in a different colour for example. I like the summer best too and love to run around in shorts and a T-Shirt - sooo uncomplicated..
Ive heard of so many gamines who are INFPs. Im soft gamine and infp.
All your fits look great on you *steals all the ideas to try* ✨
I like your video a lot! Gamine and infp as well 😄 felt your energy as very familiar ra
I wear a skater dress with a cropped cardigan
No wonder I feel like we're kindred spirits. I'm soft autumn, FG and INFJ!
Ooo fun!
Soft Autumn, FG and INFJ here as well! 🥰 It’s so much fun finding people who identify so similar to yourself.
I’m deep autumn, FG and INFJ 😻
Que conteúdo legal, específico! ♥ Obrigada!
What does it mean to be a gamine-natural? I also have an inverted triangle body type too
I never used to think I fitted gamine because I have quite big boobs and butt (for my size) but the rest of my body can be quite angular, specially my shoulders, wrists and hands.
You can be a SG with double curve. ( That's what I am)
I am also a flamboyant gamine and also an infp so I can relate 🧚✨
I avoided so many of your videos earlier just for no reason. Now that I hve seen you, heard you. You are very gorgeous and appealing. Just loved what you talked. I could relate to it a lot. ❤️ Much love to you :))
I am soft gamine but inverted triangle at the same time :)
2:43 Where did you get that green turtleneck?
Not sure if that’s the look you’re going for, but I thought I’d mention it 😊
Ooo cool idea! That might give it more structure.
Heres one for you. I look my best in flamboyant gamine lines. But I'm almost 5,8" I'm a mixture of B and D on the kibbe test, so possible gamine. But my height hints I might be a natural, but I look horiffic in draped oversized lines.
I will always tell you to wear what makes you feel your best, whatever makes you feel confident and vibrant. Start there and trust yourself.
Hi dear! Dramatic classic here, and I love wearing flamboyant gamine lines too. I don't know if the reason is my head/face (which I think is more gamine/teenager-ish), but I look like a boring, muted girl with DC lines. FG makes me really shine ✨
I get that you're not comfortable but that dress is beautiful on you even without the shirt o over it
I typed myself as TR but when I posted to a group asking what they thought, they told me I fit FG.
So I think it’s interesting how we both went for that specific style of dress - the creamy, small floral pattern in your second example.
I have a dress that is the exact same length, a slight wrap style, the v-neck with the wrap style, the ribbon to tie on the side, the short sleeves! I love it but it’s not *perfect* lol
I’m gonna try those alterations where you break the line!!
I also survive in giant baggy t-shirts and slides or fuzzy socks lmfao
And… am also an INFP
Doppelgänger who??
I am not a gamin but I love your videos and your style. So unique and beautiful. Do you know of a UA-camr who makes videos like yours for naturals? Thanks!
Thanks so much! I don't, actually. If anyone knows of a channel like this, I'd love for you to share!
Hi, can you cover Esperanza Spalding’s Gamine style? 🌸
What is the style of trouser you're wearing at 3.03 please?
Great video!!!!!!!!
I’m still on my Kibbe journey and trying to figure out if I am in the Natural, Romantic, or Gamine family (which sounds crazy honestly), BUT…… I’m also an INFP and I vibe 100% with wanting to be barefoot all the time. it’s just better
I loved the one at 02:53 I think you look gorgeous in that
11:23 also look very cool and adorable at the same time
Personally, i think the long dress suits you...
Honestly when I was watching your videos my first thought was ENFJ, or ESFJ,. Now I'm leaning more towards ISFJ or INFJ
Easy tips. But nothing flowy for me. Doesn't suit at all.
Infp flam gam here too! Sox

where do you buy your clothes? its so hard to find clothes for my height and size (5'0, 95 pounds)
