Sometimes you just have to get weird. To keep things interesting, we picked two colors (a base and a pearl) that in all reality should not be paired together. Regardless of how it turns out, it is usually worth the experiment. What do you think of the end result, was it what you expected?

I have to admit it, I was very skeptical about it at first, but as I am seeing the full result, I am so mesmerized by the color!! It has a sunset feel to it with the gold pearl showing, I love it Fonzie, keep it up with the weird combos, as you said,"weird win!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love weird, im all about weird! You know what else would be weird? Using my car as a demo car to dip in whatever weird and crazy color combinations you and the other viewers can come up with.
wierd is the way when it comes to breaking grounds. you shoud try a 50's acqua/turquois base with a copper or brown-ish pearl.

I agree, I have been waiting for them to try more oranges. That may be the perfect combination for my challenger. I would want to come up with an awesome black with color shift for stripes.

holy crap, it almost looks like you've got a filter over the whole image! The color is indescribable. When I'm more equipped to try this out I may try a lime base w/ purple hypershift.

What happened here is that blue is the complementary color to orange (inverted), so the blue is actually deepening the shadows when the gold is giving the wow effect on the highlights.
Very good use of the color wheel. If the highlight were blue it possibly would look weird, but a pearl that is blue on the shadow will actually accentuate it on a base of orange.
So what would have happened if the base was red? Would it shift (?) greenish?
That is the finest Sunburst orange or Tangerine I've ever seen. Great job Fonzi

I've got to admit, I haven't been a big fan of the last 40 years worth of the Stang...but this one... this one I would drive. From my perception, it seems like the gold accentuates the ridges and high points, while the blue seems to do the same with the shadows...very nicely done! Embrace the weirdness!

SWEET MOMMA! I was looking for YEARS for a orange to gold dip/wrap etc. THIS is perfection! Only thing that comes close is Teckwrap GAL006 paprica orange. But this as a DIP! Instant love! Would like it on my E90 3series.
Please make a kit for this!

My 67 camaro has been this color for about 6 years now. We did an orange satin base with miami sunset pearl over it with flat black rally stripes. Everyone that see's it falls in love with it.

Guys, there is in Australia the Commodore which you guys got as the Chevy SS...it comes with a similar shade called Burnt Orange....BUT this takes that colour to another level. Stick this same colour on a meaty sedan like the SS or even a Dodge Charger...something that is a 4 door muscle car and sit back and appreciate the goodness. M sport or AMG or RS or even ISf would come up "golden"
This is pretty insane. Love how much of a 'pop' it adds despite how close the colours are.
Yeah I think that 'pop' happens because of the closeness between the the golden shining and the orange base in contrast to the blue in the shadows darkening the base color, it gave more complexity and took this orange, flashy but somewhat monotone, to another level

I detail for a living. Very on point. The attention to each line is displayed awesomely. Some appear different shades to even red on the hood at the angel of looking from the side. Good job. Caught my attention.
Ironically, blue and orange are my favorite colors, and while a blue hue never really showed up here, that golden orange effect was stunning! Makes me wonder what the role reversal would have created, starting with a blue base and working in a orange/gold shift... 🤔

Suprisingly this worked....the gold in the color shift, makes the orange really pop, and there is just enough blue, to really blend it all together. It fits. I like it.

the blue is what made it to a deeper orange. a touch of contrasting colour can darken the original colour

@@FISHYFILMPRODUCTIONS contrasting colours when done as a 50/50 as we have seen in previous videos mix to a grey/brown depending upon the intensity of the original colours, but when added in a small amount (5% in this case) it deepens the base colour since it is slowly bringing it to the center (black being a mix of all colours paintwise)
That being said I was expecting it to be more brown

WOW !! That's AWESOME. You're right, anything works ! Was surprised that the blue doesn't feature, it just made the orange darker. that Gold just compliments the orange totally.

and 5g load FTW. The way it just barely picks up the blue on the horizontal surfaces and then punches you in the face with the ironman-like red/gold/orange just make you want to see the car form every angle.
Yes. You nailed it. That hint of blue visually pulls back that Orange on the horizontal, yet the highlights pop with gold, and that hot orange prevails.

My favorite dip so far. That orange is super vibrant. I love the transition from gold to a burnt orange almost red. Killer color! Looks like a several thousand dollar Outrageous paintjob

Wow that almost looks like a burnt orange chrome affect. Spectacular.
Looks great but as soon as you said gold I figured it would work because you said usually you would have used yellow. The blue creates the shadow effect and causes the angles to appear more dramatic. End result is awesome.

Gold looks great, though I struggle to see any of the blue. Maybe blue just tones the orange a smidge without showing "blue"
I honestly didn't know what to expect coming into this, but hot DAMN that color is gorgeous. The different colors coming through are there, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't drown out the main color.
Love the way it turned the orange base almost into a red. It’s like you turned up the contrast, bright highlights and deep shadow.

It actually looks like really cool "Dirty" effect to me. It's an amazing color and I could see it on probably a very specific super car
So, I used to play with acrylic enamels. I took Dodge Ram red and sprayed my Audi 4000S. I then put super fine orange flake in acrylic clear and put that on top of the red. I then sprayed blue pearl over that. The finish on this mustang reminds me so much of my paint job. I’m really wanting to experiment with this product and process now.
The blue tends to grade the orange into red side.....the gold looks super in my opinion one of the best pearl combinations ever😍😍😍
Right car to pull this color off on honestly I don't think this color would look any better on the other vehicles, this color has a commanding presence like the mustang itself. overall beautiful and magnificent color
Since blue and orange are complimentary colors, I think the blue gave the orange depth. Then the gold just lit it up! Nice!
My Lotus factory paint is similar to this but the gold comes out really strong from your coating. Reminds me of the Golden Gate Bridge. Fabulous!
The first effect - gold highlights over orange - was nice, but a bit tame. Move a little, and the blue starts to shine through, which is weird but not in a bad way.

Absolutely love it! I like tangerine and sunset shades of orange anyway, but this is next level! The blue deepens it and the gold highlights are awesome. Would love this on a street rod.
The color looks great, and I know that is what this channel is about. Something in my brain keeps saying. Man I wish the car had better rims and wheels on it, they just look so cheap next to that awesome color. Then another part chirps...really wish the 5.0 badge was in a matte black to give a little extra punch of black.

I've been looking for an orange for the stripes on my '07 Mustang. I found it. I love how the pearl brought the orange down and created some amazing highlights.
