Re7 is the first resident evil game I’ve ever played and just beat it. While it certainly was good, it wasn’t perfect. I’d say more like an 8/10. Final boss fight was disappointing, some sections I’m pretty sure I cheesed it a bit because it didn’t feel like i was doing it the way I was supposed to so I could get past that section, and some of the puzzles were kinda dumb (like not given adequate clues or being way too easy)

Walking around the police station while trying to survive was great, I don’t understand why the puzzles are there. In this one too, going through the house is great, then we get to the puzzle part and I pretty much zone out.
My favourite of the resident evils.. finished it many times and never had a great grasp of the story... This was PERFECT including the DLC and in chronological order, absolutely fantastic video and you made my favourite horror game somehow even better!!

I played almost every RE game until RE 6. Since I didn't play 7 or Village I wanted to understand the lore. Even thought your video is well made and very clear, I still don't understand it thought. In particular I don't get the connection to RE 5. But it's ok, maybe watching Village's lore I will understand it better.

It's not really a "virus" anymore. Not like T-Virus or G-Virus. Those were synthesised in a lab from some exotic African plants. You can see them stored in vials, and injected or inhaled to mutate the human body. The mold is more of a fungal organism that attacks or infects the body. It already existed in nature, and the corporations just found a way to weaponize it. At least that's how I understand it. RE is notorious for having convoluted storylines, so I could be way off.

I don’t understand why people like Mia. She was smuggling a bio weapon, tried to kill Ethan, and basically started this whole thing for Ethan by being involved with the bio weapon industry. Zoey however does nothing but help Ethan and is basically tossed aside by the story because “he came for Mia” like that excuses her being the whole reason he’s in this situation in the first place.
i think to be honest most people missed that part imma be honest i missed that part entirely too and just looked at curing mia as"well ethans main goal is to find her and save her" and that was ultimately the reason i chose mia.yes zoe helps you but she doesn't do much for the character other than that and its not like ethan and zoe have any sort of relationship with each other they just met so it just didnt sit right for me to pick zoe and picking mia is canon simply because village happens by choosing her as she is alive in village
i should also mention mia trying to kill ethan isnt her doing people mess it up mia never wanted to or tried to kill ethan she was being controlled by eveline its mentioned at the very end of the game how the bakers and mia were just victims of the whole thing they didnt kill ethan because they wanted to its simply because they were controlled by eveline
I cannot get started on this. Mia always gets me with the chainsaw. You can’t get away from her and I’ve shot her 25 times in the face, does very little and that’s on easy. I suck I know but this looks like fun if I could ever get started properly
This is one of the best explanations of what is actually going on in RE7, especially for people like me - old school RE fans who didnt really get into the REboots of the series. But this royalty free YT music is absolutely ruining the mood. I wish you used music from the RE games, or something similar, with a dark foreboding atmosphere. This generic youtuber music makes it feel like I'm watching Marques Brownlee do an iphone review.
There's something I don't get, when you find Ethan at the bottom of the boat there is a cutscene of him talking to Jack Baker. When could this have happened? He seems to be cured of the virus but in the dlc 'end of Zoe' he is evil again?
No, so, 1. Mia sent the email the night before Ethan arrived at the mansion. She sent a video from the tanker, but was presumed dead, as he never heard from her again until she sent the email. 2. Jack is able to communicate with Ethan through the mold. For some reason, the mold infects people but there’s obviously some part of that person trapped inside the mold. That’s why Jack said to Ethan, ‘free my family’ so they could escape the mold

After playing this part multiple times both dlc's also in VR mode i liked every aspect of this RE 7 the only thing i didn't like its the main character Ethan! Out of all main characters in RE universe he's the weakest the most boring and out of nowhere nobody and i didn't like him,but all other parts of the game were great and i can replay RE7 multiple times even baring the fact that i had to play ad Ethan although in dlc playing as Chris and Joe Baker were awesome 👌 but unfortunately not that great as Ethan.
