@@jackjax7921 I respect your opinion. However, at least in my own opinion, Re4 was groundbreaking. It set the standard for what a Resident Evil title should be.
Just wanted to add that the flowers containing the progenitor virus are called “Stairway of the Sun”. They are the same type of flowers that Donna Beneviento had her gardener plant at her sister’s, Claudia’s, gravesite.
Imagine a game launched almost 20 years ago and there are still some people talking about it! IMO its not just the best RE game its my all time best game.
Leaving a comment to help this video in the algorithim, don't have much to say that others haven't already except a reminder that you're an incredibly content creator. There are more video essay / lore explanation channels out there but your knack for editing, high quality audio and picture, and finding all the right scenes, plus you're great at narration, make this out to be one of the best channels of that genre! keep it up, you're seriously talented dude!!
Harry. MY GUY. I could’ve sworn there was supposed to be an extra 40 mins of Ashley calling for Leon🤣🤣. Enjoyed the video very much. Keep this up, you’re a damn savage
Started playing parts of this game when I was 3 ,which made this the first game I've ever played. I've played the whole game when I was 16 and till now I am still in love with this game.
I don't usually notice sub count on channels I stumble upon but I was legitimately surprised how your channel is relatively "small" but is putting out incredible bingeworthy content. Looking forward for you to be amongst the big creators on this site
2:04 Me watching helplessly as time passes to the point where everyone I care about has to eventually part ways for their own paths in life, realizing that all the good times I experienced must come to an end, and will forever become a footnote in my life.
RE4 is my all-time favorite game. I've always felt that it left out a lot of detail, though. Luckily, videos like this close the gap. I just learned today that Leon was sent because he was the only one cleared of any wrong doing, and he was the very best option in the time sensitive operation. I also thought, "why didn't the US send in special forces? Or at least send them when Leon requested backup?" I realized that the helicopter that was first sent probably was full of soldiers. Given that US spies spotted Ashley in Spain, odds are that the Spain government was less than cooperative or trustworthy. Great video!
The resident evil 4 story is one of the most amaizng and memorable narratives in the resident evil franchise! From the moment Leon S. Kennedy arrives in the mysterious European village and to the game's writing and storytelling that the resident evil 4 story continues to be talked about and maybe talk about to this day :]
No ones mentions this but you have a perfect voice for this. Not too monotone and not coming off like you just slammed your nose on a table full of flour and yelled after coming back up lol
RE4 was my first RE game, so I have a nostalgia for it but definitely want to play the original games 1-3 as those are highly regarded as the best ones. With the inclusion of the 1st and 2nd remake. (I heard the 3rd remake wasn’t all that.)
I still can't believe that the only canon explanation as to what happened to all the remaining Ganado that Leon and Ashley had encountered is shown in Umbrella Corps of all games. That's just not fair. Good video by the way!
Bought this game on sale for like €3 little before the remake released. Finished it within two days. And it's an amazing game, finally played a slice of gaming history. Gonna get my hands on the remake soon I think.
Hey, nice video of Resident Evil 4! While I love the remake, I also have a soft spot for the original RE4. In fact, I just started a series playing the original RE4 on my cell phone, and it's been a thrilling experience. It's amazing how the game still holds up after all these years.
I liked the video before I even watched it cause I know it’s gonna be good 👍 Subscribed when you were only at 17k This channels finally getting the recognition it deserves.
The Fish thing is actually a Mutated Giant Salamander, which is weirdly enough iIrc is not local to Iberian Peninsula, more of a Eastern European Fauna, but this is Japan Studio, WTH do they know lmao
Thank you for this bro 🙏I'm unable to play RE4 and RE5 has been sitting in my files forever.. I'm just gonna watch this and go right on ahead to RE5 lol
I think what give RE4 give more dynamic and character is the fact that it lore and story actually separate it from other game whereas other game including the recent entry RE8 has deep rooted connection with other entries. Re4 plagas history went back to centuries before the other events occur in the game which make the story not only unique but give lore of RE4 itself much more depth and texture.
I cant wait for the remake for re4, i played it countless of times on gamecube amd ps2 when i was a kid and ngl that remake for re2 was amazing ,still havent played re8 village yet but imma get it for my birthday tho😌
I have now subscribed. I loved your Outlast videos a lot and the more I watch your videos the more I wanna binge! Good to see someone loved this game as much as I did. Probably my favorite Resident Evil game
What trips me out is they waste there time injecting Leon and Ashley to have this big plan to take over there mind but steadily try to kill them. Kinda counterproductive to there plan.
You don’t have to say “The Los illuminados” because “Los” means “The” if you’ve ever played saints row, y’all get into an argument about it in a cut scene because somebody kept calling them “THE Los carnales” 😂
I died several times during the very first section of the game were you barricade yourself to help defend against the chainsaw ganado but unbeknownst to me i kept shooting the villagers and ended up wasting ammo while being chased and kept dying purposely because i had no idea as to what i should do but yeah that chainsaw ganado literally made me quit the game but eventually i finally found a way to do some damage by obtaining the shotgun ultimately triggering the 'Bingo' cutscene
I liked that despite obviously needing ashley to be....alive for their plan to work, they at multiple points in the story try to kill her. Even if one would think they just meant to kill leon the part with the tunnel boring machine literally only put Ashley in danger. So seemingly they almost ended up....defeating themselves.... Also it was a jetski not a speed boat. Very different vehicles. With a Jetski being a small 1-2 person craft invented by Jethto Skinnhaver who successfully cross bred a Jet and a pair of skis. The skis laid an egg a few days later and from it hatched the very first jet ski.
By the time Leon killed Mendez, the situation was clearly out of control and priorities could change, especially given the existence of a plan B involving an aircraft carrier. In addition, one must understand that ganado still retain a share of their own will despite the parasite, so we should also take into account the likelihood of a particular ganado making a mistake.
After playing the remakes of Resident Evil 0, 1, 2, and 3, I just couldn't stomach the graphical and control downgrade in 4. Still wanted to understand the story and your video managed to keep me filled in. Thanks!
Love the vids and watch all the lore videos. I’ve played the game years ago and love it. I just noticed something after seeing the part where Ashley is standing up against the wall and the bands come out and ensnare her. Why do her hands go behind her back like she was just handcuffed? Her hands were on her sides than went straight to her back. Weird. Anyway just found that odd though there’s plenty of things like that in this game. “Help me Leon!”
That should be Jack Krausers new role in the reboot. After he “dies” to Leon turns out he actually survives and Pursues more power being the G-Virus and having a very high infinity with it turning him into a Tyrant monster with a massive bladed arm along with his Plaga, perhaps even mutating the plaga itself and taking full control of the host in the later transformations.
