I went looking for any decent video on a 9th gen civic hybrid, and found my favorite automotive journalist to the rescue. I should've known AoA would've done it.
Hybrids are great until the battery begins to break down and the car begins to rely on the gas engine more and more. Ultimately the MPG will go down and your then forced to replace the battery killing any potential on your original ROI.
My family is going to trade in the fuel guzzler 2007 2nd Gen CRV for this 2013 Honda Civic Hybrid (most efficient sedan??)...........!!! I am personally driving the Insight :)..........
The only thing that has really changed is the interior and the radio. You can see those updates in the latest Civic review on my channel but as far as the hybrid system goes, yes everything is the same.

Great review. Those AC compressors are pain to replace if they seize up apparently. A lot of stuff in the way in the engine bay.

How long do the batteries last? what's the replacement price?
It will depend on shop and of its a Honda OEM battery or aftermarket
For example a Toyota Camry hybrid battery is 1,500$ i saw fir aftermarket refurbished

Im trying to fix my ac compressor and mechanic shops are charging me 3000 dollars!!1 is there anyway I can fix an ac compressor on my own cheaper!
Steve Smith yes, do it yourself! Just have a shop evacuate the existing refrigerant before you take everything apart.
