What are the lines in the finished artwork on the glass? Looks like maybe the laser skipped a bit? Or is that a camera thing?
great eye! I left the finished product in with those lines just so people would notice. It wasnt the rotary as far as i can tell. it appears the laser skipped 3 times about 1/3 and 2/3 through the engrave. I am going to have to troubleshoot to see what happened. out of 4 test glasses, that was the only one to have the skipped areas. It's very weird.
Thank you Patrick, another great video to learn from.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching.
Nice man. I learned I want a fiber laser LOL
that's a UV laser, so , close to a fiber. :)
@@LSEngraving Ok so now I learned I need to figure out the difference between a UV and a fiber laser - there's a video for ya, galvo, co2, UV, diode, fiber differences and use scenarios :)
Thank you Patrick! Awesome as usual! Hope you have a great day too!
Thanks for watching! You too!
that is very beautiful work patrick
thank you. Just wish that one didn't skip.
That looks great!
thank you for watching Nipa!!
Great video, well presented and not too long either.
Much appreciated! i enjoy feedback on what im doing right and what I can do better!
Good job. I never had any success using overlap unless it was super tiny split size but that takes forever. And glass is out of round adding to the problem. Good job figuring that out. You've been doing this a long time.
thank you, between being out of round and dropping out of focus a bit, not bad. thank you for watching!
*I'm having a Joyous Celebration!* 🎇🎊🍾🥳
you like that? lol. i try to entertain!
Man you got great toys. Nice piece.
Thanks 👍I enjoy my toys!
Excelente video, gracias por compartir!!!! 🤗👌💪🙏
Thank you! and you are welcome!
Awesome! 👍
thank you sir
Great job Patrick. I concur w/ Denver.... I'd like to see it on the MK2/30w
Coming soon!
Hey Patrick
Yo! :)
Hey Patrick. What line distance are you using for glass? .02 or .03. I would like to run a test on my uv with these settings. I usually run 200 speed 50h and 1 q pulse.
i'm running 300/40f/1q distance 0.02
Can you do a video using the MK2
i will try to do that.
Very nice. Did you design the flower pattern?
i had it for some reason. lol
I don't everything right but when i bring it to ezcad2 it has a bunch of lines when hatching, what im I doing wrong?
I designed it for lightburn. I dont design ezcad files any longer, sorry.
Thanks for the video. I have one of those vases sitting on my desk, just waiting to do something with it. I think this would be a good project for it.
I have the Mansfield also. I notice when I engrave lots of glass or even tumblers. the dust collects on the wheels and can make the item slip. When I see the dust start to collect, I just hit the wheel with a paper towel and some alcohol to clean them. Not sure that was the problem with your lines, but a good tip none the less. Do you happen to be using a USB cable to send the file to the laser? I have seen where people have had weird problems. Running directly from the laser, or connecting the laser and computer via a network cable has fixed that problem with most people.
great tip about the dust! its usb direct. i ran another glass after the one that skipped and it was perfect. i still havent figured out what exactly happened.
@@LSEngraving if you are going to run USB, you might try sending the file to the laser, rather than starting it from Lightburn. That might fix the problem.
@@bigfranksworld That is impossible with a galvo laser as there is so much data it needs a constant connection, at least at this point in time/development. Great tip for co2 and diodes.
@@LSEngraving Good info on the fiber laser. I don' t have one (yet), so I don't have much info on them. Is it possible to connect your computer to the galvo via a network connection?
it is not with a typical ezcad board@@bigfranksworld
?can I do the same thing with my 30w roly and their rotary?
yes, if you coat the glass with brilliance or temp paint first. see my video here: ua-cam.com/video/ND3IOewjC08/v-deo.html
Where did you buy the glass?
dollar tree! $1 :)
