Good call. Cheddar gorge and cheddar caves are worth a visit next time you're here. Glastonbury tor possibly worth a visit as well.
Also Coopers Hill cheese rolling is worth a visit as well I'd say, Its in that general area of England. I've never been but always wanted to check it out, its even garnered a world wide interest by now I think.

try norwich norfolk england
He is not "going crazy" on the guitar at all. He is barely audible.
What I like about this couple is their unpretentiousness, unlike so many other people on youtube. Also the fact they love eating everything on holiday, just like me lol.
Yeah American's that don't actually get on my nerves, for once haha
You guys are way better than any travel show on TV. Love your vlogs.
💗 thank you so much!!
1 year late but totally agree. 🙂
Agree!
I live in Glasgow but we go down to Bath a few times a yr, It's a fantastic little city, very friendly folks and the beer is amazing, I have very little needs, Enjoy.
Loving your vlog all the way from New Zealand. Inspiring me thanks so much :)
You guys are awesome. Asia is amazing because it's different but the UK is so charming. Expensive.....yep, but worth it. I love my country and you have gone to two of my most favourite places.
You guys need to try custard with a hot pudding such as apple crumble or jam rolypoly. with this horrible wet weather, it’s definate comfort food!
Custard with jam or lemon tart :-)
8:40 Anyone else try to listen in on the conversation going on behind them?
Charizarzar I think she was talking about Demi Moore
Yup. She did not want to be heard....
Fun fact, macaroni cheese was actually invented in the UK.
I've spent most of the afternoon watching the videos of your trip to England. What a lovely couple you are and so much fun to watch. I've now subscribed and will be following your "Adventures" from now on.
Allison your hair is on fleek in this vid!!❤️👍🏼-Ash
Awww, thanks girl 💁
It is very pretty. Perfect style for Europe! 👍
Geez, I hope that lady in the background remembers what she was trying to remember!
First place I ever had mulled wine was Bath... and I was at the Christmas market /festival too! Wonderful experience, I love the place!😊👍🇬🇧
It seems like a significant portion of your marriage is about relishing the consumption of food together.
Bunny Smith This describes every relationship I've ever had.
Awww leave them alone
Don't be a scrooge...let your hair down...go out..eat drink and be merry..life is too short!
Leap Of Faith and you assume UA-cam shows you everything. Man has a lot to learn.
It's a food vlog...
that lady in the background was a bit loud I'm glad the guitarist was drowning her out a bit but ive just recently found this channel and I think you do a great job and find it interesting I'm from England and you are choosing the right places to go to I live an hour away from York and York is one of my favourite places to visit you guys should go to scarborough not far from Whitby great fish and chips there too
Just friends is also one of my fav Christmas movies 😍😁
Loving this England trip!
💗
Try and get to Warwick castle. You'd love it. The history is incredible. When your in the peak district. You really have to go to Chatsworth house. You really have to
Carl Titmus I second chatsworth! And also walk on stanage edge
Warwick and Kenilworth would be great
Wish I had known you were coming. I would have shown you around and taken you to the places you don't get in the guides. Looks like you enjoyed Bath.
Try and visit some of the quaint villages and towns in the Cotswolds when you're in bath..Bourton on the water And Cirencester are worth a visit
We enjoyed Bath too. The rice balls are called arancini--ah-ran-CHEE-nee.
From what ive heard about english food its all:
-Oily and greasy
-Lacking in flavor and spice
- Unhealthy
- Meaty and/or cheesy
But in reality the "british food" that ive tried here in my country has all been delicious lol, even if it doesnt have tons of flavor. I esp love Yorkshire Pudding!
the 'Band Tears for Fears is from Bath
I love watching your England videos! Id really recommend for yous to stay at Newcastle on a future visit to England. Theres a famous museum called Beamish Museum which I think you guys would love! Its is all about life in England in the olden days its really interesting and you can ride on trams, go down mines, visit the old houses/pubs/sweet shops and of course have fish and chips! Enjoy your travels 😀
www.beamish.org.uk
Abbie Jade, I couldn’t agree more, the Beamish museum is fantastic, a great day out. The Masonic hall is an eye opener, it’s staggering to think that so much money was spent on these halls while many in the community were starving! All the exhibits are fantastic.
It’s hard to sleep 😴 living in the city centre of Bath, those seagulls never stop squawking 24/7. 😫
Bro trust I know exactly what you mean
At last you are having an enjoyable time back in the UK! Bath is a great little city. So much to see and do, it punches well above its weight.
Love you guys - glad you are enjoying the UK
Thanks, Paul! We had a blast there :D
with those goodies the host must surely be on track for AirBNB SuperHost status! :)
Arancini! Amazing! I love you guys in the UK but you should totally come to Manchester - we have brilliant food markets/restaurants.
I hope this year you would find time in visiting the Philippines. Then if you also plan to go to Dubai, contact me so I could have meet you guys. Love your vlogs!!!
I wasn’t hungry when I started this video. Then you guys went and ate arancini and now I want arancini. Damn you!
😏 eat some for us, please!
Hey Eric, how are you achieving those awesome long shots?
It has always amazed me how many Americans belittle British food. I can only assume they've never been.
Andy Mac They are eating Arancini and American staples Mac and Cheese and Pulled Pork.
I think it comes from American soldiers stationed here during WW2. They arrived when the war had been going a long time and the country was under food rationing - shortages, all sorts not available, crappy alternatives etc...
@@robw7676 I’ve often thought the same thing, but to be fair it lasted a long time after the war was over. The great revival of British cuisine didn’t start till the 70s, and included a lot of international cuisines that originated in the new immigrant communities that grew up after the war.
"A little road trip from York to Bath." he says. My idea of a little road trip is taking a different route to work in the morning, and I work 10 minutes from my house.
Should have tried Schwartz Bros hamburgers.
i really hope you came to bristol on your travels here in the south west somerset :D its the best city ever
I had rice balls in Catana, Sicily - by far one of the best things I had while in Italy.
We absolutely can't wait to try them in Italy :D How yummy!
I live in Bath, that market is over rated over priced and the locals nick name is 50 sheds of crap, it might be good once in your life but after that noway
Love that Airbnb and, of course, Bath is one of the most beautiful places in the UK.
That Airbnb was one of our faves! And Bath was definitely beautiful 😍
Bath is a city not a town. Epic Adventure like that airbnb is super cool¬!
"The opposite of a war is not peace, it is a food festival." EGP
I lived at Bleadon, nr Weston supr Mare, for 5 years and used to drive to Bath on Saturdays just to enjoy the town, get a bit of shopping, have a few beers.... and grab a pasty.
I love that place.
That editing transition at 3:11 is brilliant Great skills Eric. Keep up the good work.
🙌 thanks!
This isn't fare, I can smell my food (which is not ready) cooking downstairs and you two are stuffing your faces with yummy food 😭 haha.
So, Bath.... My bets on Bristol next (the Seattle of England)
Bristol is amazing, you deffo need to go there.....and I'll meet you! Portishead is better though if you like marinas....that's where I live and it's lush! X
What a great comparison. Yes Bristol, where I live, was born here,is a really happening place. Not that a lot of it is happening to me,lol, but it's all out there.
handy hint when parking ....GET UP EARLY. :P
Erick, you should share with Allison...
There’s an awesome fudge shop in Bath behind the Roman baths. Increeeeeeeeeeeedible
Shelley's Cloud There are two. The one on the corner?
Nachatar Dhaliwal not sure, think it’s just down the wee alley that the corner one leads on to. It’s on the right of the alley if I remember right. Big rolls of INCREDIBLE fudge, all sorts of flavours and you buy it by the slice.
Heavenly b
Shelley's Cloud We went in there first bit changed our mind. Ah well, next time.
It's just called The Fudge Kitchen, they are incredible in there. They let you try any flavour they have even if you decide not to buy it plus they do a loyalty card which is great for me so I can get my free fudge. The staff are also always friendly and remember me when I go in. They also now do milk free fudge where they use coconut milk instead and it's so good, coming from someone who doesn't even like coconut. The other fudge place by the Abbey is no where near as good.
My fiance and I are thinking about taking an English road trip for our honeymoon and your videos have really inspired us. Thank you so much! Also, Just Friends is THE BEST! Simply Dusty, is there any other kind?
I’m loving the videos as you travel the world. Your close to me, Worcester. I think you’d like the morgan car factory in malvern, or Stratford upon Avon.
I aspire to live your lifestyle it’s my dream to travel for a year straight! I’m a new subscriber and I’m binge watching a ton of your videos.
Haha that woman swearing in the background. Bet she didn't expect to be captured on UA-cam for all eternity 😂
Can't believe you were in Cirencester, I live 10 minutes away...
WOW, you folks love your food. Enjoy.
Glad you liked the mac n cheese after all England is the place where it was invented ;)
"Cheers...Cheeers!...to.... Christmas in Bath and.....punching stranger's"..…....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That what I miss about the uk the street food is out of the park
Seriously cant stop watching your videos!
Worked night shift last night was outside for ten hours got soaked walking home got in and went straight to this it cheered me up, it looked so cosy in that airbnb!
Cutest vlog ever!!!!!!!! You guys see awesome
You guys should allow FANMAIL x so we can send you pictures of places you might like to visit- or of where we live
all the rooms were full in Bethlehem and all the car parks were full in bath.
That rice ball looks so good
I studied in Bath about (cough) 25 years ago and there used to be lovely tea shop on the bridge where you could sit and drink your tea while looking out at the river beneath you! No idea if it’s still there, but might be worth a look!
Yep, it's still there!
12:49
Oh wow I feel like I’m about to watch Gogglebox the way they sat down on the sofa facing camera.
I really hope you enjoy your tour around a beautiful island. What I love about you guys. Is you tried our food for more regions. And you gave your honest opinion. I must admit that I do not like the American interpretation of British food full stop saying it is Bland ana tasteless. Maybe your video what change a few Minds back in the USA. What's your back in the UK soon. Take care are in your Ventures and the very best of luck
Come to Newcastle and the North East when travel re commences after Covid 19! You’ll love it! Lots of food, castles, beaches and history!
Not sure how long ago this was recorded but if you're still in the area you should definitely go to Bristol as you're so close to it, an incredible bohemian city. Also whilst in the UK you have to go to Brighton. The best city in the country. Its a very multi-cultural place and as such that shows in its mix of restaurants from all over the world (the best being Japanese).
In my lifetime I've seen the city of Bristol become what it is today. Forty years ago it was a staid, stuffy place, the culture was for the upper class you might say. Its really in the last 30 or maybe 20 years that Bristol has changed into the happening(as they say),cool, vibrant, and a bit bohemian place it is now, where the definition of Art and Culture is much wider and everyone can partake. If you want to. Also IMO Bristol is very beautiful with lots of green spaces to enjoy.
Hi Eric and Alison my name's Tracy I come from a city called Southampton check it out you both will love my home city
You should also check out Glastonbury tor
that guitar player rocks :)
You guys should have come to Nottingham amazing city
Deffinatlly my most happiest place to surf it all thrpugh.
Is Allison vegetarian because she really likes the leather sofas?
Why am I re-watching this when I’m having to fast? 😫
Great video - but why, since you are having trouble using your credit cards, don't you get some cash out of an ATM? I know there's a surcharge, but surely much cheaper than using your cards all the time?
Allison is absolutely gorgeous, what a smile!!
Your rice ball is called arancini..... And now I want one!!!
Yes! They're so dang delicious!
I love all about Romans, their legacy.
Woah, last December I was in Bath and I think I was there for the same food festival, pretty sure I tried that mac n cheese and I definitely saw those rice balls - how funny that the same vendors were there 2 years in a row - shows they were great!!
Why do Americans say urb instead of herb?
I'M NOT KEEN ON FOOD, ( UNLESS IT'S MADE OF SUGAR) BUT THIS IS MAKING ME RETHINK MY PREFERENCES. GLAD TO HEAR YOU CALL IT BATH, AND NOT BAARTH
Nice one guys! So relaxing to watch before bed. X
👍👍
If you are in England in July why not come to Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire? Lovely little town but they have an amazing reconstruction of The Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. One of the main battles in the Wars of the Roses. You would have great fun. Love to see you here.
all that food looks amazing
WALES, POrtishead
Don't know if you guys read comments on old vlogs, but just like to say I'm newly subscribed and have spent the last couple of hours enjoying many of your videos. I hardly ever subscribe to channels, with the exception of Rick Steves and a couple of other travel ones, but you guys have a really nice friendly and enthusiastic approach and it's pretty obvious you enjoy and respect the places you visit. Always nice to see and hear an overseas opinion on English/British food and culture. - You should try and get back to York and Whitby during summer. Makes a difference! Bath is beautiful too. Pleased you enjoyed your stay.👍
Lovely to see you guys in Bath. I lived there for 8 years in the 1990s and it's still one of my favourite places in the UK. Looks like you had an awesome time :)
I live in Bath all my life it's nice place to live
The mac and cheese with toppings looked like da bomb. Ps... I have spent most of my life, working all over Scotland. If you are ever in Britain again and fancy a Scottish adventure. I would advise you to start your journey in Killen, Stirlingshire. Then head, east, west, then north. The scenery is unmatched.
I'd say one treat for our American cousins visiting the UK is the quality of our Cured meats in comparison to what I found when living in the states, take for example bacon when I was living in Florida the bacon that was served in dinners was this thin streaky stuff that had no taste the same with cuts of ham, here you are spoilt for choice when it comes to cuts of bacon and ham. Same with cheese here in the UK the variety is astounding to what I managed to find in US supermarkets which was imported Edam or burger type processed cheese. This was about 17 years ago so maybe the US has caught up with our amazing ranges of cheeses and cured meats?
Allison and Eric! It's a great time of year to visit Philadelphia. The history! The food! The different neighborhoods! Easy to get around as well! Hope to see you soon.
Happy Holidays guys! Hope you have a great New Year! Love your videos.
Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for adventuring with us 👍
Awesome stuff. Only just discovered your channel. Your AirBnB in this vlog is about 2 miles from my house, so great to see your take on my local area.
What a beautiful place! Love it! We love when you stay in one place and can show us a lot of the scenery and places to visit.
Watching old episodes from England! 🍁🧡🍁🧡🍁🧡🍁
Sniffing your food it’s a 🙅🏼♀️ NO NO...not polite!!!🤦🏼♀️
We have a few foodfestivals like that as well. One is called eat and walk..."hap en stap". I LOVE it. Always lots of choice and many yummy dishes
Happy Christmas and a wonderful new year to you Endless Adventurers. I can see you are both really enjoying yourselves. You have a very British thing in that you love cakes and puddings, Britain is the tops for sweet things.
Super as always. Can you imagine my reaction when I moved to The USA being served Velveeta Mac and cheese. Nothing beats real UK Cheddar.
Merry Xmas guys! I'd love to see you guys visit Bournemouth or tenby. Here's hoping!
