please think about booking apartments. Airbnb and co are overtaking many cities in europe and elsewhere in the world (e.g. NY) but especially Venice. Foreign companies will buy up whole houses and blocks only to rent them out to tourists. And locals are not able to find affordable housing because of this. Since these companies will pay more than the average venician is able to afford. What follows is that venice is slowly dying and basically becoming one giant hotel and not a functioning city anymore. And there are many nice affordable hotels you can book. So please have this in mind when traveling. This practice will only stop if we tourists don't use these apartments.
Sometimes his eating "technique" is just bad and gross. Too much of a bite, half of it kind of fits in his mouth and the other half falls back onto the plate. Kind of childish eating manners.
I ate a ham, brie and artichoke sandwich in Venice a few years ago and loved it so much I recreated it back home in Paris with baguette and truffled-brie: it is one of the best things I took away from that trip!
Had the bigoli in salsa in the late 90s on my trip to venice. I didn't expect much but got one of the most delicious dishes in my whole life. Still can remember this taste so well.
