Please try and see York Minster whilst you're there! I'm not religeous, but that place is humbling in it's architecture. The "Rose Window" is utterly breathtaking.

Yes York Minster is a must. Stand in there look up and ask yourselves how on earth did they build this magnificent building more than 550yrs ago.

It's pricey to get in York Minster, but if you go for Evensong after 5pm it's free, and you get amazing music. There's a very good Italian restaurant in the old girl's school, which isn't expensive. York also has the National Railway Museum, which is free and you can easily lose a day in there. The Treasurer's House at the back of the minster is interesting, and famous for its ghosts: ua-cam.com/video/_AnQdvIYanQ/v-deo.html

If you like Christmas markets, Lincoln's is epic. While most towns have theirs in November and December, Lincoln market is four days long in Dec, so some people think it's too busy, but it really adds to the atmosphere.
    York is also beautiful.

The reason the sun seems to set early to you in York is because York's latitude is 53.9600 degrees North. Compare that with latitudes of cities in North America and you will understand why the days are shorter in the Winter months compared to the USA. And the climate in York is relatively mild in York in Winter because of the influence of the Gulf Stream on the British Isles.

Railway museum is free and a great couple of hours. Theres a church 2 mins walk from Cliffords tower that is a fantastic café! And its cheap. Minster is a must, and i believe, no building in york can ever be taller than the minster. Shambles is cute, world's smallest street at one end, and has a fab name :) check out the roman column and statue by the minster, read the plaque on the statue, mind blowing :)

I can't say that York is that good as I do live their but I really am proud of where I live and you should really check York Viking centre in town as it has old bodies on display and you can walk on glass that has loads of old Viking things and you can get a ride round in side

James Cockings: June Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is the longest day Can be either the 20th June, the 21st June or the 22nd June but usually the 21st June, and generally termed Summer Solstice. Of course, in the Southern Hemisphere the June Solstice is the shortest day and generally known as the Winter Solstice. The December Solstice is the shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest day in the Southern Hemisphere, Generally termed Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice respectively. Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere usually the 21st December but sometimes the 20th December.

You guys should visit Norwich if you get a chance, there are so many unique little places to grab great food (including maybe the best fish and chip shop ever, Grosvenor Fish Bar), a castle, cathedrals, cool little antique shops, some of the oldest cobbled streets in England and a large historic market. I'm a student here and I've become so obsessed with the place, there are also so many awesome pubs and bars. If you ever do, I can give you tonnes of recommendations on where to hit up. :)

Just discovered your channel, mostly because of your recent vintage rv conversion.
I’m married to a North Yorkshire girl, so I’ve been to York many times…most recently last month. It’s one of my favorite cities in the world.
Clifford’s Tower, while stunning and scenic, has such a tragic history where the entire Jewish population was wiped out in a single day back in 1190.
I love the holiday stalls and the Shambles. It’s a great atmosphere, and it’s always a treat to see it.

you love adventure then why not book yourself a boating holiday here in the UK, at a place called the Norfolk Broads where you take a boat by yourself on the rivers its great fun, the boat yards do give you a twenty minute free lesson on how to handle the boat and moor up, they are very easy, we have our second one next Sept ,and if its winter adventure you want you can always try a holiday resort called Butlins, but Bognor Regis is the best of the 3 resorts as it had 3 hotels on site and the sea is at the back of the resort ide say a 2 minute walk away, also all the entertainment is free, you can either go self catering, half board which is bed breakfast evening meal or theres full board where you have breakfast lunch and dinner, and you can either book these at the time of booking on the Butlins website or you can book them as you want them, the bognor sites are like the other 2 with traditional chalets, we'll the Skegness in Lincolnshire resort just as the Chalets while the site in a place called Minehead as chalets, a Hotel, and lakeside lodges so thats 3 different types of accommodation at that one and the sea, and beach is at the front of this resort across the road and opposite the resort, whereas with both Skegness and Bognor Regis the sea and beach is at the back of the resorts with no roads to cross, to get to the Bognor resort you go to Victoria railway station in London and catch the portsmouth train, but you have to make sure your sitting in the correct portion of the train as it actually splits as one half goes to Portsmouth while the other portion goes to Bognor, but with you flying its easier to fly to London Gatwick and go to the train station just outside the terminal building and buy your return tickets to Bognor Regis that way it cuts out getting the train in London,, just a few adventure ideas for you to think about, all these holiday9vacation) destinations ive told you about are fantastic and im not a travel agent or a representative of any of these places im just an ordinary Englishman giving you some ideas

Your videos are brilliant! They should be used by the English Tourist Board. A big thumbs up, and you have a new subscriber. 😀😀

Hey ! It's my favorite endless adventurers ! 😄 Awesome job as always guys !
    Two questions :
    1) Any chance of seeing the National Railway Museum in this series ? Definitely one of my fav places in York.
    2) What's the name of the saxo song in the beginning of the vlog cos I'm having trouble finding it on Soundcloud ?
    Thanks guys !

While in York you guys should check out the Cornish Bakery on Coney Street. Their pasties are amazing, and I've been known to make the round trip from Manchester just to get one!

Honestly, you should REALLY try Chester (ancient, Roman, Celtic) and the fairy glen and Snowdon in north Wales ❤
