If you're after more of his vocal skills, try Temple of the Dog - Say Hello to Heaven, or Soundgarden - Beyond the Wheel. Such a shame he's no longer with us.
The interpretation is out of this world. He will live forever in our hearts. ❤
He also did an awesome cover of Michael Jackson's BILLY JEAN. Almost unrecognizable for the original but Wo! WHAT! even...better?
Rip Chris!!
This performance devastates me every time I listen to it.
Facts! =(
You are a truly beautiful lady. Your smile is amazingly contagious. I love watching how music really makes your soul happy! Keep up the good work!
Keaton Simons is the guitar player. I looked him up one time. He's played with many artists and has put out a couple of albums. I remember reading that his stepfather is actor Eric Roberts, older brother of Julia, and that his mother appeared in Animal House while pregnant with him, so, I guess technically he was in Animal House. Love your channel.
I think it was Bryan Gibson on chello.
He deserves a mention too.
You've got to check out "fell on black days" from this recording. Not many reactions to this version. Far different from the Soundgarden recording.
This cover is the best. I love Chris and Prince.
GOAT!
When he sung the part about throwing his arms around any girl I choose, but it just reminds me of you. I noticed your emotions really coming to the fore, such a powerful man was our Chris. Listen to Soundgarden MIND RIOT motorvision version, the lyrics are ridiculous in this song and his voice is spectacular as always.
I love Chris' cover of this song. I also loved your reaction to his interpretation. Peace
The one and only Chris Cornell. RIP Chris
You should react to Chris cornell singing Patience...it gives you goosebumps all the way through the song!
love him
please do Guy Garvey/Elbow of Manchester. They're still touring, but he has a gorgeous voice
I love this cover. It's like the voice of God decided to sing a song written by men. I feel his hurt and agitation. I wish he was still here with us to explain his mind set for this song.when he sings I feel like he dug into my soul for the hurt of every man & put It's pain into words. And the true sadness is that we may never experience this again in our life time....
Anything Chris does is amazing, so whether you react to Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple Of The Dog or his solo music it will be amazing. If you check out his acoustic version of his Audioslave song Like A Stone that would be excellent. Thank you for this reaction, I am really pleased you enjoyed it.
Love your reaction videos. You have to check out the best vocalist from down under John Farnham singing the Beatles song "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. His vocals are crazy and he's an entertainer, the way he interacts with the crowd is awesome. John Farnham is an Aussie icon.
I thought that I couldn’t love the Sinead O’Connor cover anymore, but the more I hear this, the more I love it. Thank you.
Sinbad killed it but Chris took it and made it his own and added his loss to it.
Valerie could still get it.
Hi! Great channel! My favourite singer is Michael Jackson and I watched all your reactions about him but I want more reactions in Mike and his music that changed the World!
Wish you the best, as Michael was Used ti say, with Love, L.O.V.E ❤️
Chris Cornell is one of my favorite singers. Just a few clarifications. It is a Prince written song, and he would later release versions of it. The first recording was by The Family in 1985. The band included Prince's former fiancee Susannah Melvoin, who was the sister of Revolution guitarist Wendy. It was not a hit. Sinead O'Connor covered that version in 1989. This Cornell version is beautiful.
The guitarist who played the solo is a singer named Keaton Simons. He is fantastic. Check out his song Beautiful Pain.
Chris Cornell Soundgarden songs to check out: Outshined, The Day I Tried To Live, Black Hole Sun & Flower.
His Temple of the Dog to check out: Say Hello 2 Heaven & Hunger Strike.
His solo check out: Sunshower and Can't Change Me.
His Audioslave songs to check out: Like A Stone, Be Yourself & Wide Awake.
You are SOOO right about that acoustic guitar solo. Don't hear much of that these days.
I've never once heard Prince sing this song. I've only heard it by Sinead O'Connor so did Prince write this song originally?
Check Chris out on Howard Stern show singing Lennons "Imagine", off the hook good. He was something special ...
I love Keaton Simon's music.
I really love if you react to Chris in say hello 2 heaven live in 90s. Or black rain. ;)
I used to love going to see him doing his one-man-&-an-acoustic-guitar shows as much as Soundgarden or Audioslave gigs tbh. Aside from the obvious range & power, I always 100% *believed* what he was singing.... & that is such a rare quality. From everything I've heard from interviews with folks who spent any time with him, he was apparently a thoroughly decent human with (possibly too much) compassion to him.... & that is possibly even rarer. I'm really sad that the documentary film that he was financing, which was to bring to light all sorts of horrific child trafficking (& for which he & Chester Bennington were going to record music) was cancelled on his passing.
Anyhoo, regarding which Toob clips to pick, I would advise caution as there are many poor quality live clips out there. I would recommend the official music video for Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike": ua-cam.com/video/VUb450Alpps/v-deo.html
It's always fun to watch Chris & Eddie Vedder taking turns thru that. Given that Chris basically wrote that album on the passing of Mother Love Bone's Andrew Wood, & got together with the surviving members to record it as a way of helping Eddie settle-in to what would later be called Pearl Jam. If anyone hasn't seen the documentary "PJ20" btw, it's an absolute must-see for anyone interested in the Seattle scene of the late '80s & early '90s. ;)
Such a shame to lose him to suicide. He has been one of my favorite artists since i was a teenager in the 90s. He could sing the telephone book and make it sound good. His rendition of Metallicas One to the tune of U2's One was a crazy show of his talent But yes his cover of micheal jackson's Billie Jean was so good and like this chilling! good reaction thanks be safe and cioa for now
Prince wrote this with all due respect to my knowledge,, Sinead O'conner was the o'g. Respect to Chris Cornell!!!!!
💗 💖 💘 💝 💟... 💔
THE Soundgarden?
How can you, “a vocal coach” not study someone like CC being that he’s the greatest singer that we have or ever will hear again? 😔
Hello ❤❤❤💓 love love you
React to Man of Constant Sorrow by Home Free
I bet it was hard not to sing along haha
See what you think to Johnathan groff (you’ll be back)
He’s simple but a vocal genius . Try copying Chris Cornell , and one just can’t . He’s one of a kind and I’m a picky session musician
You don't vocal coach Chris Cornell, Chris Cornell vocal coach you!
grey hair, still hot as fuck. I wish I knew you.
